Beth Davis (Maggie Q) leads the Threat Assessment Unit of LAPD detectives investigating stalkers. She was a victim of a stalker. Jack Larsen (Dylan McDermott) is a new transfer from NYPD Homicide. He has followed Deputy District Attorney Amanda Taylor (Elisabeth Röhm) to LA to stay close to the their son. Ben Caldwell and Janice Lawrence are the two other members of the small unit. They investigate college kid victim Perry Whitley who turns out to be mentally unstable and fixates on Beth after she threatens him.
This is actually pretty good for a police procedural. It's dark, creepy and a little scary. Both Maggie Q and McDermott are good in this. I really like the Perry Whitley character. He is a clingy weirdo who gets really creepy. The show is missing one particular stock character. It needs the wide-eyed rookie who the audience can empathize with. Otherwise, this is a nice dark procedural.
