Review of The Reunion

The Reunion (2011)
6/10
Funny Danish take on Hangover
4 April 2015
Experienced TV-director Niels Nørløv Hansens first feature film is a Danish take on Old School and Hangover-movies. Of course on a far more realistic depiction, though maybe not funnier.

Three very different old class pals are now middle aged guys, which join up the night before a reunion party to prove to themselves they are not that old yet. The men are in all ways desperate both when it comes to manly-hood, sex, women and age.

All three main characters are doing a god mob in the main roles. Nicolaj Kopernikus is given the main role as Niels, and the two others are played by Anders W. Berthelsen and Troels Lyby.

The film is quite funny, though maybe a bit too much on the sex focused side for me o fully enjoy it. The music score also annoys after a while. More work with this would have made a better movie, but all in all a quite entertaining movie. But a classic it will never be.
