I /Ai/Manoharudu Review ! The iconic director's "I" has no elements of surprise like one of title's meaning denote but has some content to contribute the other meaning for "I" – Beauty.

Director shankar known for his grandeur projects consisting a message has experimented to go easy with the mockery tricks and easily predictable subject that has less to do for the lead actor's years of hardwork and dedication.

Chiyaan Vikram's Versatility level is very much evident in his movies for the love he has for his job.His three years of dedication for this flick is an instant crowd puller who check-in for some off beat experiences.Undoubtedly his transformation and performances as a body builder, a model and a hunchbacked man proves to be the major "Mersal aiten" factor .

Some of the heroines survive just by their external appearances, exposure and influences they don't bother on improvising their acting skills even after few projects release. But here the drop dead gorgeous Amy Jackson goes beyond and scores in every frame with her elegant beauty and performances – a worthy international find in Industry! Santhanam starts well with his one-liners as usual but his mockery skill soon turns on boredom and meh. Other artists contribution doesn't seem to add the essence in poorly formed script.

The come back of ‪#‎SureshGopi‬ appeared subtle but soon breaks loose giving a clear clue of the things to follow and ‪#‎UpenPatel‬ in one of main negative role was an odd choice as there are many other actors in the industry to out perform in every aspect to convince Powerstar Seenivasan's nature of acceptance for repeated and intentionally made scenes to alter ones' image makes to think rather than to tickle. ‪#‎Ramkumar‬'s characterization is very much obvious targeting the business biggie and there's nothing much to wonder why that man has been the target for few film makers.

Celebrity stylist ‪#‎Ojas‬ M. Rajani role as a trans-gender falling in love with the lead is portrayed with much squirm hurting the third genders and sexual orientation ,its a complete turn off lacking the necessary elements of neat entertainment. The impressive tunes by A.R. Rahman are already a hit and the BGM's glue well with the scenes to overcast the lengthy screen play . He does prove that when given his time he surely does work wonders. P.C. Sreeram's fair cinematography is an added credit with visualisations of customary locations in director's template.Editor ‪#‎Anthony‬ gives no feel of his presence anywhere through his cuts this time and the poorly cropped stunt scenes didn't turn tables despite skillful efforts from the stunt team.

‪#‎Pluses‬ : * ChiyaanVikram * Amy Jackson * Ar Rahman Music * PC Sreeram ISC * Climax

‪#‎Negatives‬ : * Weaker Script reminding us his previous projects combined * Duration * Editing * Lengthy stunts * Forced and Unwanted contents

Overall the director has threaded together some references from his previous projects and takes us into the journey often making us feel to get down in the middle but on tolerance he lands us in amazing destination to sheer joy.Directorial touch on love gives a feel of merry end in a fairy tale ( ..and they lived happily ever after)

Verdict : Chiyaan never disappoints , Watch it for Vikram's dedication, sacrifice, transformation and passion. (3/5)

*If you plan to watch it with your family ? consider once.. (U/A)
