The Jewish Americans-Superb Documentary ****
29 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This was definitely a masterpiece in the making. It deals with the Jewish identity question in our country beginning 5 years after the end of World War 11, where examination and self-introspection were needed in light of the holocaust.

We see the lessening of tensions towards Jews in America. This soon fades with the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg espionage story.

We see the African-American civil rights controversy bringing both blacks and Jews together as both had suffered so much in common. That bond soon ends with the events of 1964. The New York City teacher strike showed how anti-Semitism could be so rapidly unleashed in 1968.

We saw how American Jewry has tried to modify its way in light of modern times. Women coming to the forefront demanding equality in religion, as well as in other ways was well depicted.
