Super Smash Bros. (1999 Video Game)
10/10
Classic fighting game for Nintendo 64
18 October 2013
"Super Smash Bros" is a 1999 fighting game for Nintendo 64, and is the first in the SSB-franchise, followed by "Super Smash Bros. Melee" for Gamecube and "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" for Wii, as well as one for Wii U 2014 which I'm waiting for.

This game simply doesn't have a specific plot in it, but the premise of the game is the fact 12 popular video game characters like Mario, Donkey Kong, Link and Pikachu fight each other. Four of these characters are unlockable.

In the 1-player mode, the player selects a character and fight various other characters until he/she meets the seemingly villainous Master Hand. Also, there is a practice mode where the character has to board the platforms or break the targets in fastest possible time.

Funny with this game is that unlike traditional fighting games like the "Tekken" and the "Street Fighter" games, this game allows you to go freely in any stage available in the game, pick up several items (Pokeball, Hammer, Motion Sensor Bomb etc.) to be used against any opponents, and even make sure the opponent gets knocked out of the stage.

Even though you get to unlock everything which are to be unlocked in the game, and eventually complete it 100%, it doesn't mean the game is finished for good. The fun itself is unlimited; Up to four players can still play the VS. Mode and fight each other, or you can do the single-player mode again if you wish.

Such a classic N64-game which I think will be remembered by fans of this game. My overall rating is definitely a 10/10.
