Warning: Spoilers
Barney Panofsky (Paul Giamatti) looks back on his life as a Canadian TV producer with three marriages, some life-long friends, and a lot of regrets. Barney was always a slovenly drunk and womanizer who did what he wanted, when he wanted. This didn't work well with his wives and now, as he ages, he faces one final, insurmountable problem.

The story is interesting; my problem was I didn't like Barney. Paul Giamatti's character is repulsive and unsympathetic until the very end, and by then it was too late to feel anything for him. Barney lacks morals of any kind but the story could have been acceptable if it hadn't been for the dialogue which is filled with unnecessary profanity.

The acting is all very good, but the presentation is repellant. Not recommended.
