Review of Bol

Bol (2011)
9/10
South Asia's mirror
11 September 2011
This movie compelled me to write a review, it has a universal theme which has been shown sensibly. The characters may well have been from Uttar Pradesh (India) or for that matter any place in the world. The problem of gender bias, homophobia, conservatism, corruption, double standards, etc as depicted in the movie affects all of us. We keep quiet all the time.

Let us not make this movie an outcome of a specific religion's doctrines, the director has shown us a mirror, it is more of a cultural issue, accept it positively!

I gave it 9/10 for the cause of the movie and not for its technical expertise or craftsmanship. Finally, a director has brought all these issues out in the open. We should support him and his (in reality, its our) cause whole heartedly.
