Not to say long over due...Marmaduke the comic strip icon has been drawn by Brad Anderson since 1954. Now the Great Dane, voiced by Owen Wilson, has his own movie. Hype has been mediocre and the reaction similar. An advertising executive(Lee Pace)uproots his family and Marmaduke to take a job with a California based dog food company. From the windblown plains of Kansas to the sunny beaches of California is enough culture shock for anyone...Marmaduke even is forced to make new canine friends at a local dog park. The household feline pet Carlos(George Lopez)may just end up Marmaduke's best friend after all of the calamities and near disasters that seem to come with the new locale.
