All right. Don't go into Surfer Dude expecting to be inspired to new stretches of the cinematic experience. But it isn't that bad. Addicted to chilling and "freedom," surfer Steve Addington faces the harsh reality check of a dead sea and the death of hippie virtue. Its the old sellout story we've seen in Lords of Dogtown and Rock Star. If you've ever been addicted to a way of life and then had that abruptly interrupted. If you've ever needed a wave and woken up to hot air shimmering off of the dead sea. Watch Surfer,Dude. Watch the first hour, and if you're not into it or get bored with the usage of "dude" incessantly, change the channel. I couldn't turn it off because I needed to see the wave at the end.
