Wow, watched it a second time because there were bits I watched the first time and missed. Tremendous drama thriller and yes, Gillian Murphy is the real star of this movie, Susan Sarandon plays a secondary role. Reminds me a little of Staaten island though the stories are totally different, a close knit community with secrets. Great drama.
I did wonder how come Ellen Page as Masggie didn't guess the double' character of Gillian Murphy, Adams Apple and all that, and her covering up, but never mind that or the poor storyline about the politics, i really liked this movie.
Yes, this film is no blockbuster and Susan Sarandon might have fitted in filming around Avatar. This is the first time to see Ellen Page since Juno and her acting potential is undeniable. Again, she plays a role, not stereo-typed, as a single parent with a kid and a problem, but great acting.
See this movie if you can, it is one which you will want to watch closely despite its slow pace. are Nebraska folk really like this?
