I have seen the movie and honestly, I STRONGLY DISLIKE it. Being "aswang" isn't like being a vampire that is contagious. I doubt if the writers ever made thorough research. Not because you've ever been to the Philippines and got acquainted with an "aswang" you'll eventually turn into one. I am Filipino who grew up listening to my grandmother's stories about this creature. As a modern day student, I have been researching extensively and read numerous books written by fellow Filipino professors who have traveled and investigated all over the country for many years. They all share common information about "aswang" -- information which remained consistent even in Filipino movies. This so-called "A" movie internationally produced is a big slap on our faces, an insult, and humiliation to us. It opposes our culture and beliefs on how "aswangs" really are. Please writers and producers, be responsible in researching and providing your audience precise information; and not just making it gory to scare the hell out of us and earn. SHAME ON YOU!!!
