I was looking forward to watching this movie, mainly because it stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. I was neither disappointed nor impressed. As all Disney Channel movies--with the exception of Motocrossed--the plot was mediocre: princess is in danger, she is taken into hiding and then forced to endure the vast perils of a normal life. There is bowling, chaos at a yogurt shop (which has been done to death in other shows) and of course a school dance. The acting was OK. Demi is at her best when she is being helped by someone. Selena is the better actor. She plays the sullen, down-to-earth girl spot on. In fact, I loved the movie's first scene and I think Selena nailed it. I really hated the entire Princess Protection Program headquarters scene. I thought the main boss lady was very cartoonish and exaggerated as was the dictator. But oh well. OH! One thing I did love about the movie was that the movie was set in Louisiana. I loved it, but unfortunately it was underused.
Overall, ahh...it was okay bordering on bad.
