Disturbed Vietnam Vet terrorizes remote and desolate diner.
3 November 2006
This is one of the all time greatest "lost" cult movies. I won't add to the many fine dissertations already posted here, but it has a striking resemblance to another magnificent lost film, "The Incident" with Tony Musante, a baby faced Martin Sheen, and an even younger Beau Bridges. Much of the plot is remarkably the same, except of course one takes place for the most part in a diner, and the other on a NY subway. The suspense, tension and drama is high caliber for both films, as is the quality of the writing and acting. Tony Musante and Martin Sheen are the bullies of "The Incident" but the audience has little or no empathy for them as some might have for Teddy. Check them both out, both remarkable films.
