Should never have been cancelled
21 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
When I first saw this show, I had no idea what to expect. However, as the episodes went on, this show just blew me away.

It makes no bones about the harsh realities of addictions, and the everyday battles that teens have to face. There is no sugar-coating. This is not as someone stated, "Dawson's Creek," "One Tree Hill", or even, "Buffy".

This is one of those rare shows that you see on TV and you wonder why the heck they cancelled it. This is one of those shows that we need back on TV. We need, both young and old, to see the reality, the one that is so often painted over by pastel colours, and Barbie houses.

When you really think about, what good hardcore show, focuses on teen problems? Sure, you have a whole bunch of them out there, like the OC, and One Tree Hill, but they glorify it. They make it sound slightly romantic and they don't delve far enough into the issues to see them for what they really are.

If anything this was a show that any teenager could identify with, if not learn a lesson from it. Finally, a show that isn't about a teen soap opera, but about the core of the pressures and coping that surrounds us in our everyday lives.

I can't tell you whether this show has a happy ending or not. That's all in your perspective. But what I can tell you, is this show leaves me wondering, six years after its gone, why the heck would they cancel it?
