OK, so I have been waiting awhile to see this film. I had read mixed reviews all over the place, and was really excited to see it. Maybe I expected a little too much. I'm willing to give "Mordum" a shot, and I definitely really want to see "Murder Set Pieces" (since I missed the screening in N.Y.), but this film really upset me. Not in a shocking way, but a very unsatisfied way. I will give Vogel credit for the way the film was shot. The style he chose did give it a "real" home video approach. The "hardcore"??? show the two killers were at looked pretty realistic(too bad the band was horrible and were doing Korn cover songs). The feces, urine, and the puke scenes were like a CKY or Jackass video, and failed to disturb me. The murder scenes were so boring and nothing I haven't seen before. There wasn't even really that much gore when I think back on it. Oh god, the laughing they were doing was so gay. The hitch hiker part was so lame, the girl was nasty looking (just like the rest of the hoes Vogel rounded up). Then there is the most drawn out pathetic scene at the mini market, "sniff his ass", come on..please. Oh, and the ever so lovely filming of the goat with the huge balls. Vogel has to be one of the worst actors I have ever seen. He is so not scary, it mad me laugh. I love his comments on just about all his victims on how fat they are. I got news for you Fred, your a portly fellow yourself! The last scene with the two whores was so bad I was praying the film would just end. I was more disturbed by movies such as Irreversible, House on the Edge of the Park, Nekromantik, and Salo etc. I'm hoping "Mordum" will shock me more than this crap. From what I hear it will. Trust me, I'm a true fan of horror, exploitation, and will watch just about any kind of sick crazy movie, but this lacked it all.
