Warning: Spoilers
Those calling it an edge of the seat thriller in the lines of Hollywood should better do some reality check first. Though I don't blame those who have not seen Bryan Singer directed-"Usual Suspects". When a film is a complete copy of a Brilliant Hollywood potboiler the least one expects is that it should be adapted properly and not like a copy cat with additional inputs lifted from other "phoren" resources. TV serial director turned débutant film director Vivek Agnihotri should have done his homework well, especially when he has done one good thing i.e. lifting the complete plot from the film with little deviations here and there. But when one finally sees this "inspiration" he gets a rude shock as it conveys the same old attitude - 'audience are bunch of fools not exposed enough to Hollywood stuff and just come to watch another movie in order to fool around". Sorry sir, this is not the case today at least, when every Tom, Dick and Harry has an easy access to those pirated DVDs, anytime, anywhere, so what should he expect when he comes to theater? So that he can watch a decent remake. Right ? The missing links are an integral part in the original film served to carry the narrative forward but sadly here you keep guessing till end why the hell they kept it this way. The result is -Unconventional narrative style of original completely gone bizarre here. The film appears too long and it drags on and on. Nonetheless you can have a good laugh at one place when they show a robbery on the move quite like a child's play. Complete acting dept. is bad as if actors were just out for a picnic. I wonder what workshop the actress wife of the director conducting with them? And girls, were they acting? Seriously, I thought they were just freaking around so much so that their character gets into a "slut-mode" even when it is not required. What a pity that they don't even look sensuous which originally they are. The type of language a top Lawyer Anil Kapoor speaks is too amateurish as he do not use any legal terms. Dialogues are bad. There are numerous sick, idiotic references to "woman and sex" which reminds you of those regressive lines an imaginative dialog writer called Milap Zaveri pens every time for Sanjay Gupta films. Any positive factor, oh yes, UK is shot quite well and just the picture quality (not cinematography) is such that the colors, sharpness everything matches to a Hollywood film visuals, which is an achievement if you call so. Finally, What did the slug line of film "Deep dark Secrets" means? Answer lies in probably a line in song of the film " Mummy ko nahi hai pata. Mummy se na kehna" what a strange stuff you have seen!
