I've given this film 9/10 in context of it's age and in relevance to it's genre.
Frankly I love film noire murder mystery and there's not enough of them around. I never really got the Bob and Bing thing but on his own and in this and Ghostbreakers, supported by talent like Paulette Goddard and Willie Best, he was great fun.
I was a bit disappointed at the relative ease with which the mystery was solved, it was somewhat laid out by Bob too easily but being half Welsh I'll forgive him that.
As I said, given it's age, nice atmosphere and brisk pace - I can watch it repeatedly. More than I can say for some current movies.
