Review of Gen-X Cops

Gen-X Cops (1999)
8/10
A whole lot of fun!
30 April 2000
This is Hong Kong action for the year 2000. The misadventures of Jack, Match and Alien are both humorous and entertaining.

Although the script isn't exactly Oscar worthy material, it's fresh and exciting, and more importantly a lot of fun to watch in action! The action scenes were done quite well, and the acting in this film surprised me. I wasn't expecting anything special, but Nicholas Tse and Stephen Fung did a great job. Sam Lee was less interesting, but funny throughout the film. Toru Nakamura is a fantastic bad guy, and Jackie Chan's cameo appearance was humorous and well placed.

Overall, although occasionally a little silly, Gen X Cops is very entertaining and definitely worth a view. 8 out of 10.
