I have now seen this movie four times! I have never been motivated to see any movie in a theater more than once. I thought this movie was absolutely fantastic. I don't know how some people found it boring. I get bored pretty easily, but I was hooked from the first minute. I also have to say that I don't agree with those who say you should read the book first. If you want to go in without any preconceived ideas, and want to be surprised, see the movie first. I did. In fact, I knew almost nothing about the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I had never read the books or The Hobbit. All I knew was that some Hobbit named Frodo had to get rid of an evil ring. Well, I had no trouble following what was going on, or keeping the characters straight. I'm glad I saw the movie first. I've now read the first book, but I refuse to read the second or third books until I've seen the movies. I don't want to spoil any surprises!!
