I loved this movie so much that I saw it four times in 2 weeks. Never felt that way about a movie. I loved the music,dancing and city scenes from Buenos Aires so much that I have wanted to go ever since I saw the movie in December,1997.
I received a soundtrack sampler leaving the theater and went to great lengths to find the full soundtrack. I bought other tango CDs and was lucky enough to catch Yo-Yo Ma at a performance when he was in Chicago that was half tango/half typical classical music. He's a great performer and I've got his tango CD,too.
On the flip side, my friends all hated it - thought SP was an egotist. My sister couldn't stand it either. They don't trust me to pick out a movie these days.
