I was surprised
25 July 2003
20 years after watching the film I stumbled across it again on IMDB finding that already 6(!) people had voted for it. I was surprised, because I always considered this movie important and very substancial.

In 1980 the so called "plowshares eight", some religeously motivated peace activists entered a nuclear warhead facility (sounds incredibly easy) and damaged warheads and spilled their own blood in protest against the nuclear arms race.

The movie covers the trial, in which the plowshares eight were convicted to 5 to 10 years in jail. Even if you believe that these people deserve some kind of punishment, you will be surprised by the proceedings and the outcome. The plowshares eight played themselves during the breaks of the actual trial. It took them 10 years and several trials to regain their freedom.

In the King of Prussia is a very impressive semi-documentary. A true story that can make you speechless.
