Short and Sweet
21 September 2000
Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali decided to create a film scenario out of their random dreams. The result was Un Chien Andalou, a short surrealistic film that lacks a plot, but utilizes bizarre imagery and satire to instill shock value on its audience. A lot of memorable scenes: the famous eye slicing, the Freudian breasts that turns to buttocks, ants crawling out of a man's hand, a severed hand in the road, a man pulling pianos filled with rotting donkeys, and the like. Also included in this package is Land Without Bread, a documentary about a poverty-stricken town in Spain.
