There will be no Season 5 for Tacoma Fd. TruTV has canceled the comedy, its last remaining scripted series, after four seasons, Deadline has confirmed.
The Season 4 finale, which aired in October, will now serve as the series finale.
Starring and created by Super Troopers‘ Kevin Heffernan (Fire Chief Terry McConky) and Steve Lemme (Captain Eddie Pinisi), Tacoma Fd was set in a firehouse in one of America’s rainiest cities, where firefighters kept themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries and bizarre emergency calls.
Cast also included Marcus Henderson (Granny), Gabriel Hogan (Ike), and Hassie Harrison (Lucy). Chris Avila joined Season 4 as new recruit Mickelberry.
Celebrity guests appearing in Season 4 included Tony Danza as a guardian angel, David Arquette as Teddy Dickosi, Captain Penisi’s rival for the approval of the Chief, and more including Dexter Loomis, Mc Gainey, Timothy Murphy & Amin Joseph.

Comedy series “Tacoma Fd” has been canceled at TruTV after four seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The series originally debuted on the basic cabler back in 2019. The show was part of the network’s push into original scripted series, alongside other shows like “At Home With Amy Sedaris,” “I’m Sorry,” and “Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters.” However, TruTV’s original programming lineup has been winnowed down to virtually nothing in the past few years, with the only original series still on the network being the hidden camera show “Impractical Jokers.”
Likewise, fellow TNets like TBS and TNT — all of which fall under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella — have gone from notable rosters of scripted shows to having none. Most recently, the TBS comedy series “Miracle Workers” was canceled after four seasons. That show featured a cast that included Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.

Lee Sung Jin is ready to cook up more Beef.
Backstages at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the hit Netflix show’s creator revealed that more seasons was always the plan, even if it has heretofore been discussed as a limited series, including tonight as it won the prize for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, Made for Television Movie.
“We always pitched the season to buyers as an anthology series. There was always going to be new characters,” Jin explained. “Whether it stays limited or turns as an anthology or we continue existing, that’s really up to Netflix. But whatever they decide, I’m definitely ready.”
Jin went on to say that he feels “very fortunate” to be a writer. “There’s so many stories that I still want to write about,” he reflected, “so when they let me know, I’m sure you all will know, as well.
