The galaxy's most deadly hunter is looking to return to the big screen, as The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is "in talks" to direct a new Predator movie for 20th Century Studios.
If Trachtenberg officially signs on to direct the new Predator film, he would helm a script that is being penned by Patrick Aison.
Plot details have not been revealed at this time, but according to Deadline, the new film is not expected to directly follow the plot of 2018's The Predator, which was directed by Shane Black from a script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker.

Earlier this week we were treated to a second wonderfully creepy trailer for producer Guillermo del Toro and director André Øvredal‘s film adaptation of the horror book series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.
I’ve liked what I’ve seen from this movie so far. It looks like it does a fantastic job honoring the stories and creepy-ass art style of the books. Those books are disturbing as hell! If you’ve read the stories, then you know what I’m talking about. I love those books, though. I grew up with them. Those books were my gateway drug to the dark and twisted and led me down the path of finding more stories like them.
Del Toro and Øvredal recently showed off some clips from the film and talked about it during a Q&A panel. During that presentation they explained that the movie is an “Amblin-esque” family horror film.

If you’re excited about Guillermo del Toro’s film adaptation of the classic horror book series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, I’ve got a new trailer here for you to watch today filled with all kinds of horrific and ghoulish goodies!
I really like what I’ve seen from this movie so far. The setting, the tone, the visual designs of the creatures… it all very much feels like the disturbing stories that I grew up reading. It just looks like it’s going to be a fun and playful horror movie.
It’s was directed by André Øvredal, who is best known for making The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Trollhunters and this is a new synopsis that was released:

“You don’t read the book. The book reads you.”
One of my most anticipated films this year is producer Guillermo del Toro’s feature film adaptation of the classic horror anthology book series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. I’m so ready to watch this movie!
I grew up on these books. They scared the shit out of me and I’m hoping that this movie rekindles that same fear. One of the things that I’ve appreciated from what I’ve seen from the film so far is that it brings that creepy-ass art style and designs from the Alvin Schwartz books to life! The movie certainly looks like it’s going to traumatize kids!

L. Frank Baum's Oz universe is so much more expansive than casual movie-watchers of The Wizard of Oz may realize, and Legendary Entertainment is the latest company ready to take a stab at bringing some of that wonder, strangeness, and fictional depth to the screen.
According to Variety, Legendary is developing a TV series set in the Land of Oz from Baum's novels. As of yet untitled, the series will be written and produced by Ed Ricourt and will "examine stories and characters in Oz that haven’t been previously explored." Given that there are 14 full-length Oz books, covering the fictional history of the Land of Oz, that's a lot of potential content to draw from—and all of it in the public domain, aspiring content creators!

We’ve got a kickass new trailer for you to watch today for Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming Syfy Channel series Deadly Class, which is based on the Image Comics property created by Rick Remender and Wes Craig.
The new trailer offers up a ton of cool, action-packed new footage and also introduces us to the villainous character Chester "Fuckface" Wilson, who is played by Tom Stevens (Wayward Pines ). Wilson likes to torture his roommate Marcus Arguello. In the comics, Wilson ended up being badly burned in an explosion during Marcus's escape from the school.
I also included a behind-the-scenes featurette for the series that includes the cast and crew talking about what we can expect to see from the series. That includes the Russo Brothers. I’m really excited about this show and its future! I already watched the pilot episode and loved it, so I’m sold.

One of the biggest things that I was hoping to see in this big screen adaptation of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark was the horrific iconic illustrations created by Stephen Gammell being brought to life. If you are going to bring these stories to life, the look of that creepy-ass art has to come along with it.
A fan recently reached out to Guillermo del Toro on Twitter and asked him if they were going to try to preserve the look of of this these illustrations for the various creature designs in the film. Thankfully, del Toro gave an answer that will make fans happy:
Yes.

With production on the Guillermo del Toro-produced adaptation of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark to start this week, the ensemble cast has been revealed. That cast consists of Michael Garza (Wayward Pines), Austin Abrams (Brad’s Status), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom), Austin Zajur (Brad’s Status) and Natalie Ganzhorn (Make it Pop).
They will join the previously cast Zoe Colletti who takes on the lead role of a character named Stella. Stella is "a young girl still haunted by her mother’s disappearance on Halloween night — an incident that she suspects her father knows more about than he lets on. Years later, Stella and her friends are involved in a Halloween prank gone wrong. But are they really at fault, or was it the work of a vengeful spirit — a female ghost who uses her scary stories to come after the teens when they begin to investigate the disappearance of several children?...

Good Behavior creator and showrunner Chad Hodge has signed an overall deal with Tomorrow Studios, Marty Adelstein’s studio partnership with ITV Studios, which produces the TNT drama series starring Michelle Dockery. Under the pact, Hodge and will create new series for the studio via his Storyland banner, along with supervising development and executive producing series with other writers.
Hodge executive produces Good Behavior alongside Adelstein and Tomorrow Studios’ President Becky Clements. The series, for which Hodge received a WGA Award nomination for best episodic drama, wrapped its second season in December 2017. TNT has not yet made a decision on the show’s fate beyond that, though TNT and TBS president Kevin Reilly told Deadline in May that the network is trying “to properly bring it to a conclusion” with a final installment for the cult favorite. No pressure, right?
The newbies are paired up and tasked with taking on their first cases. Ready to meet ’em?...

There wont be a third season of Wayward Pines, as Fox has finally pulled the plug...
There were plenty of loose ends to tie up at the end of Wayward Pines' sophomore season, and although ratings had dipped from the first, it was still averaging 2.4 million viewers, with an uptick at the finale. But almost two years on from that final episode, season 3 hasn't come any closer to moving forward, and now it looks as though it never will.
