Dwayne Johnson, known for his charismatic screen presence, has recently confirmed his involvement in the live-action remake of Disney’s “Moana.” He joyfully announced his return as the voice of Maui, a character he originally brought to life in the 2016 animated hit. This announcement, made during an episode of “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, was celebrated with an impromptu rendition of the song “You’re Welcome,” a fan favorite from the original film.
The upcoming film, set for release on June 27, 2025, marks a significant milestone in Disney’s history. It represents the shortest gap between an original animated film and its live-action remake, with just nine years separating the two. This adaptation is not only the first from Disney’s Revival era to be transformed into live action but also the first 3D animated film to receive such treatment.
Behind the scenes, the project is shaping up to be a collaborative reunion.

Did We Win will highlight the player’s miraculous recovery since stunning the NFL when he collapsed on the field and went into cardiac arrest during a Monday Night Football game last January, after sustaining a blow to the chest.

Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds will return for two — yes, two — “Red Notice” sequels.
On the heels of Netflix’s announcement that “Red Notice,” an over-the-top comedic spy thriller, has become the streamer’s most-watched movie of all time, the company is in early development on a pair of follow-up films set in the global heist world.
Director Rawson Marshall Thurber is expected to resume filmmaking duties and plans to shoot the two sequels back-to-back. According to Deadline, who broke the news of the sequels, Netflix hopes to commence production in early 2023 given the busy schedules of everyone involved. (That means Reynolds’ previously announced sabbatical from acting may be short lived.) In the meantime, Thurber has been working on the screenplays.
Netflix declined to comment.

Exclusive: Back when Deadline revealed that Universal wavered on the big budget of Rawson Marshall Thurber’s three-hander script Red Notice and franchise-hungry Netflix stepped right in, skeptics questioned the wisdom of a global heist film with superstar paydays for Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds and an eight-figure payday for writer-director Thurber. Looks like Netflix’s biggest movie bet at that time paid off: Deadline hears the streamer is in the early stages of putting together a back-to-back shoot of two Red Notice sequels, with the hope to begin production in early 2023, dependent on deals and the schedules of its busy stars.
Sources said Thurber has begun writing.
Netflix would not comment, but sources said the plan is to bring back the star trio and add new characters to flesh out a heist-film ensemble reminiscent of the starry Ocean’s Eleven franchise. Red Notice was sold in one of...

The Rock is ready to roll. Dwayne Johnson has tweeted out that his eagerly awaited new film Black Adam has wrapped.
“That a wrap on Black Adam Incredible journey. Hardest undertaking of my entire career physically & mentally. Worth every second. Boundless gratitude to my 1,000+ crew members, actors and director, Jaume Collet-Serra. The hierarchy of power in DC Universe is changing.”
The Black Adam story is complicated. Thousands of years before Billy Batson became Captain Marvel, the wizard Shazam selected another for the role. Teth-Adam, aka “Mighty Adam,” was a hero at first. But then absolute power corrupted absolutely. He became Black Adam, and was exiled by Shazam.
Now returned to earth and our time, he’s seen the error of his ways, and he’s trying to clear his name.
Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Dr.
