Matrix and Jessica Jones actress Carrie-Anne Moss has joined Season 2 of Netflix’s Arnold Schwarzenegger-led Fubar, the streamer announced Monday.
Moss will play Greta Nelso, a former East German spy who has a passionate history with Luke Brunner, Schwarzenegger’s veteran CIA operative who, before the series began, was on the verge of retirement.

Arnold Schwarzenegger will face a new foe in the second season of his Netflix series Fubar.
Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix series) has joined the action comedy as a former adversary — and former flame — of Schwarzenegger’s not-quite-retired CIA spy Luke Brunner. Production on Fubar‘s second season began in late April; a premiere date hasn’t been scheduled.
Moss will play Greta Nelso, a former East German operative who shares a passionate history with Luke. He’s tasked with stopping her threat to destroy the world — if she doesn’t destroy his life first.
Fubar is Schwarzenegger’s first starring role in a TV series. The show premiered in May 2023 and was renewed for season two a few weeks later. The first season revolved around Luke, on the verge of retirement, being pulled into a mission to save a fellow CIA officer, who turns out to be his daughter (Monica Barbaro). Milan Carter,...

AlleyCatz, an unassuming bowling alley in a fictional California town, isn’t compelling to passersby or potential customers from the outside. The venue run by Mozell (Sister Sister’s Jackée Harry) has a drab brick exterior, a monument to the sad architecture of suburban shopping centers. It doesn’t offer much when you walk inside either. The lanes need waxing, the bar requires tending and the equipment is in various stages of disrepair. Some people might take one look at AlleyCatz and run, but Walt (Shameik Moore), the silly protagonist of Yassir and Isaiah Lester’s boisterous directorial debut The Gutter, doesn’t have a choice. He needs a job.
The young man, who prefers to live life without a shirt, has been fired from more gigs than he can count. In a particularly amusing early sequence, Walt recounts his shoddy employment history to Mozell, whose face becomes increasingly disturbed with each revelation.

“Welcome to The O.C., bitch!”
With those five immortal words, a cultural phenomenon was born.
The brainchild of a then-25-year-old Josh Schwartz, and guided by the steady hand of his producing partner Stephanie Savage, The O.C. ran for four chaotic seasons on Fox before sailing off into the sunset (or, in the case of poor Marissa Cooper, crashing in a fiery wreck).

Can it really be 20 years since “The O.C.” premiered on Fox? The young actors of the series, Benjamin McKenzie, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson quickly became in-demand stars and the theme song “California” by Phantom Planet became a top ten hit in several countries while also reaching 35 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.
The bagel-centric series also introduced us to “Chrismukkah” and showcased bands from The Killers to Modest Mouse.
Several members of the cast went on to lead their own series and films and others have popped up on hit shows from “How I Met Your Mother” to “Grey’s Anatomy.” Here’s what they’ve been up to since “The O.C.” signed off in February 2007.

Benjamin McKenzie, who played O.C. newbie Ryan Atwood, went on to star as an LA cop on TNT’s “Southland” and as James Gordon on Fox’s Batman prequel series “Gotham.

It's been 20 years since "The O.C." debuted on Fox, but it's still hard to see past Seth Cohen when Adam Brody shows up in a movie or TV show. It shouldn't be, because he's a terrific actor, but there's something about his still-fresh-faced persona that immediately harkens back to his time as America's favorite nerd-turned-awkwardly-popular-kid on the millennials' slightly savvier version of "Beverly Hills 90210."
Recently, Brody took his typecasting head-on with Evan Morgan's "The Kid Detective," an underrated and frustratingly underseen comedy about an Encyclopedia Brown-type wunderkind who's grown up to be a hard-drinking-and-drugging failure of a detective. His character has never made good on his early promise, but suddenly a murder case falls in his lap, and he has the opportunity to break free of his boy-wonder shackles.
Now 43, Brody's taking roles seemingly designed to torch his bantering nice-guy image. You can currently see him in...

The new “River Wild” is a reimagining of Curtis Hanson’s classic 1994 thriller starring Meryl Streep, Kevin Bacon and David Strathairn about a rafting trip that takes a deadly turn.
In the new version, Adam Brody plays a heavily-tattooed ex-convict who will stop at nothing to make sure he never returns to prison. The movie also stars Brody’s wife Leighton Meester and Taran Killam, and it was directed and co-written by the trio’s longtime friend Ben Ketai.
Brody’s violent scenes with Meester are so frightening that one wonders why the couple — who’ve been married for nine years and have two children together — signed on to the film. “I tried to kill her for a fair amount of the movie,” Brody says on this week’s episode of the “Just for Variety” podcast. “I wouldn’t have picked this for us. Adam Brody is headed to Netflix.

The series is “centered on the unlikely relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman (Bell) and an unconventional rabbi (Brody),” the logline reads.
Not much else is known about Bell’s Joanne, but Brody’s Noah is a charming rabbi who is stuck in his ways and used to playing things safe, according to the streamer. “He starts to stumble when he meets a brutally honest and proactive Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan,” reads the description for his character.

This article contains light spoilers for the first three episodes of Royal Crackers.
Dysfunctional families are par for the course in adult animated series and Adult Swim‘s latest comedy, Royal Crackers, goes for broke when it comes to a self-interested and disillusioned family of one-time one-percenters with delusions of grandeur. Bakersfield, California is the home of the Hornsby clan, cracker magnates who are desperate to stay relevant in the face of major changes within the Royal Crackers company, some of which this fractured family may not survive through.
As Royal Crackers’ premiere looms close, the show’s creator and executive producer, Jason Ruiz and Seth Cohen, get candid on finding the humanity in these wild characters, indulging in more stylized genre experiments, and The Sopranos’ unexpected influence on the series.
Den Of Geek: The marketing for Royal Crackers has kind of embraced this riff on Succession, but it’s really its own beast.

Adam Brody has admitted that he stayed on The Oc until the end because quitting “didn’t seem like an option”.
The Fleishman is in Trouble star rose to fame as Seth Cohen on the Fox teen drama, which aired for four seasons from 2003 to 2007.
The show was initially well received, but the critical reception grew more negative as the seasons went on. Many fans also argued that the show had gone downhill following the departure of Mischa Barton at the end of season three.
In a new interview with The Independent, Brody was asked if he’d considered leaving the show before it finished too.
“No, it didn’t seem like an option or the honourable thing to do,” he said. “I didn’t want it to go on forever but I had a contract and I was gonna honour it. I wouldn’t totally screw over the fans either.

Adam Brody is not Seth Cohen. I have to remind myself of this when the actor appears on screen looking exactly like Seth Cohen. The mop of curls that made Brody, now 43, a Noughties teen icon on The Oc are still there, still mop-ish. Only there’s a little grey woven in now. Since then, Brody has embarked on a career that has splintered in exciting and unexpected directions. You can hardly blame him for not being overly ecstatic to rehash a decade-old role. “Ok” is how he feels when he’s asked about that show these days. Regardless, he is unfailingly polite. Always charming, sometimes warm.
It doesn’t help, though, that his latest role is also called Seth. “They’re very different characters,” Brody assures me. This new Seth is a scene-stealer in FX’s Fleishman Is in Trouble, a TV adaptation of Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s bestselling novel.

It seems as though it has been some time since we heard about the new half-hour comedy show developed by Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte. Fox ordered The Last Man On Earth to series in February, and we’ve heard little or nothing since. It transpires that the radio silence was the result of the production focusing on making what looks to be an exciting, interesting TV show that is now set to premiere on March 1st 2015.
Created by Will Forte, and with its pilot episode directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie), The Last Man On Earth is an apocalyptic show, with a twist.
“From writer/producer Will Forte (Nebraska, Saturday Night Live) and directors/producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street), The Last Man On Earth is a new single-camera comedy about the life and adventures of the last man on earth.

Written by Forte and produced by 20th TV and studio-based Lord Miller, The Last Man On Earth is about two strangers who must overcome their differences and work together to ensure the survival of the human race. Forte will write and executive produce but is currently not attached to star. Also executive producing the project are Miller, Lord and Lord Miller’s President of Television Seth Cohen. This marks a return to writing for Forte, who started off as a writer on the Late Show, 3rd Rock From The Sun and That ’70s Show before hitting stardom on SNL, where he was a cast member for a decade.
