If you’ve ever watched the show Scrubs then you already know how hilarious it is and how many usable quotes have been left lying throughout its fictional halls. It doesn’t even matter who says them so long as you can remember them and use each one when it seems to suit the situation. Honestly there are so many that it’s kind of hard to pick a favorite so go crazy and just use as many as you see fit. I think the janitor must assume that all doctors and residents look alike. Poor Jd, it didn’t take a lot to

Thursday marks the six-month anniversary of when Indiana teens Liberty German and best friend Abigail Williams were reported missing. Their bodies were discovered the following day not far from where they were last seen alive.
Their killer, who police believe was a man seen in surveillance photos on the hiking trail near where the girls’ bodies were found, has not been identified or found.
As authorities continue to investigate the girls’ unsolved killings, the grandmother of Liberty, or Libby, says she’s still getting used to her “new normal.”

Netflix announced Tuesday that Lucy Liu would direct the first episode of “Marvel’s Luke Cage” when the series returned for its second season, and the news was met with a bit of head-scratching and ambivalence. Sure, Liu has had a successful TV and film career, but is still making a name for herself behind the camera.
Upon further examination though, this is a really savvy move on Marvel’s part. Here’s a breakdown of why Liu joining the Netflix series is great news:

Based upon a frightening fable penned by Clive Barker, the Candyman film series not only delivered a refreshing, sophisticated story—it also gave the horror genre a tragic and terrifying new boogeyman to fear in Tony Todd’s sinister portrayal of the title role. As the composer for both the original and follow-up film, Philip Glass’s cold soundscapes helped bloom the dark urban dystopia that resonated on the screen, complete with one of the most iconic movie themes of modern cinema. Summoning up Jeremy from Silver Ferox to create the hazy kodak visuals, One Way Static’s vinyl release of both Candyman and Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh captures and crystallizes the foreboding dread both sonically and visually in a stunning and sugary release.
Reflecting upon the task of visually complementing Glass’ sharp, splintered score, Jeremy explains, “I’ve admired Glass’ music ever since I saw/heard Koyaanisqatsi about 25 years ago.

From the moment Juan Antonio Bayona was appointed at the helm of Jurassic World 2, everyone involved in Universal’s 2018 sequel – specifically the outgoing Colin Trevorrow, who vacated the director’s chair to pursue Disney’s galaxy far, far away and Star Wars: Episode IX – have spoken at length about how Bayona’s follow-up aims to be the scariest, most intense installment in the decorated series to date.
And who better to steer the seemingly nerve-shredding Jurassic World 2 toward the silver screen than J.A. Bayona? From The Orphanage to 2016 sleeper hit A Monster Calls – for the record, the Spanish filmmaker was briefly attached to direct World War Z 2 for Paramount Pictures – Bayona has already amassed an impressive body of work in a relatively short space of time, and though the shift over to Hollywood’s blockbuster scene no doubt presents challenges of its own, we’re quietly confident that the director...

As much as I love online gaming, if you ask me, nothing beats sitting on a couch and playing with friends. I mean, who doesn’t want the chance to laugh, shout, scream and throw things at each other over a video game? Luckily, there are a few bastion studios committed to preserving this increasingly rare game mode, and I’ve recently stumbled across an absolute gem that’s a total hoot on the couch with your buddies as well as being a blast to play online.

The Wonder Woman of my youth was a fairly ridiculous character, whose adventures included less fighting and more romantic entanglements, not only with Steve Trevor but also a merman and a bird boy. She was no more a feminist icon to me than Supergirl, Betty or Veronica, but then, I was a child and there was no feminist movement at my elementary school in Ohio for me to know.
I still loved her. I wanted to be able to fly by catching a wind current. I wanted to be able to make people tell me the truth, especially if I could tie them up, too. To be honest, I probably also wanted a merman for a boyfriend.
This is a long, roundabout way of saying that while Wonder Woman influenced my feminism (breathing influenced my feminism), she didn’t create it. I did not expect a movie about her, especially one from a major studio,...

District 9 director Neill Blomkamp is back with Oats Studios. He explains what we can expect, and how you can get involved...
From the earliest stages of his career, director Neill Blomkamp has used short films as a means of testing his ideas. The most famous example, arguably, is Alive In Joburg, a fake documentary about shunned alien visitors - a premise which formed the debut for Blomkamp's stunning feature debut, District 9.

The success of that film led to the movies Elysium and Chappie, yet Blomkamp hasn't stopped making short films and commercials in between; there was the curious snippet of found-footage released by Wired Magazine in 2010, which depicted the discovery of a strange, porcine creature lying dead in a puddle. There was The Hire, one instalment of a series of shorts for the German car firm BMW.

So it seems the whole Bill O’Reilly thing is dying down but to tell you the truth I’d like it to heat up again. One way to do it would be to resurrect a novel that O’Reilly himself wrote in 1998 which almost mirrors the situation he found himself in this year. One way that the show’s producers have attempted to strengthen the show’s market share, and influence, is to introduce a new character that is long on charisma and passion when it comes to peddling million-dollar properties.

Cord-cutting is no longer just a buzzword, it's a reality that's reshaping the way we watch television. Espn recently laid off more than 100 of their frontline writers, broadcasters, and analysts, due to dwindling viewership -- due in large part to cord-cutting and streaming services like Netflix and Amazon. Additionally, YouTube TV, SlingTV, DirectTV, Playstation Vue, and Hulu now offer their own online, live-streaming services, as alternatives to satellite and cable. CNBC reports that nearly 33 percent of satellite and cable subscribers plan to cord-cut sometime in the future. That's a significant shift in viewing habits.
For example, last night my wife and I watched the NBA Playoffs on YouTubeTV via a laptop, which we had partially recorded to avoid commercials. After the game we screened the latest Better Call Saul from our DVR, captured the previous night. Over the weekend I replayed the last few episodes of Iron Fist on Netflix from my iPad.

But whatever joy or relief House Republicans felt after capping a seven-year struggle to gut Obamacare, the victory laps were premature. The party-line vote, which squeaked through the House by a 217-213 tally, merely sends the charged issue to the Senate, where the entire process will start from scratch—if it gets off the ground at all.

"I can solve anything in the world!" Atlas has revealed a new Us trailer for the upcoming American release of a comedy film titled Absolutely Anything. This film was originally released in Europe back in 2015, and has been waiting to get released in the Us until now. One way they're marketing it: this film features the "final" performance by Robin Williams, who voices a talking dog. Absolutely Anything is about a goofy school teacher who is granted the superpowered ability to make any wish or desire come true. Simon Pegg stars, with Kate Beckinsale, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Rob Riggle, Robert Bathurst, Eddie Izzard, and Joanna Lumley. This looks pretty bad, but the only redeeming side is that it's directed by Monty Python's Terry Jones. Maybe there's some good humor? It looks like this was lost in the 90s and only recently found. I’d give cold, hard cash to ensure that just out of shot in the final, terrible moment of this week’s emotional episode, is Ellie Miller standing Boudicca-like at the helm of a coastguard rescue boat, hair waving in the wind, ready with a foil blanket and a thermos of hot tea.

One way you can be fairly sure a film didn’t work for you is, when you’ve finished watching it and discover it won an award at a film festival you never heard of, that you then check if the festival is real, or if the director of the movie is the organizer of it. Yes, and no, to those two questions, so I’m really puzzled.
Peter (Erik Fellows) is a sleazy lawyer – we know because he forgot his beautiful girlfriend’s birthday – and he represents the Smith crime family, led by Lin Shaye, who either owed someone a favour or filmed all her scenes in a day. The son of the family is on trial for some crime or other, so they’re going to throw their bookkeeper under the bus for it – only he just discovered he has an incurable cancer and...

Put six showrunners from some of TV’s most innovative shows on stage, and right now the talk will eventually turn to the possibility of a writers strike.
And indeed, the question of a strike came up midway through IndieWire’s first-ever Fan Favorites Panel, held Saturday during WonderCon 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center. “It’s a complicated situation,” said “BoJack Horseman” executive producer Raphael Bob-Waksberg. “Nobody wants a strike… but also the writers would like to be paid fairly for the work that we’re doing. The business has changed a lot.”

Bob-Waksberg and “Arrow”/”DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” executive producer Marc Guggenheim pointed out that many shows now produce only 10 episodes – which means fewer paychecks for some writers.
Writers Guild of America members will vote later this month on whether to give its board authorization to call a strike.

On the fringes of the pet world are proud owners who aren’t afraid to admit that they treat their furry friends just like human children.
One way, and perhaps the cutest way, to do this is to stage a photo shoot for your pet that is typically reserved for humans. Thankfully, this genius idea is becoming more popular with each passing day. Lyndsey Wright is the most recent photographer to indulge owners in one of these adorable shoots.
According to Scary Mommy, Wright’s friend, Leah, and her family recently had to say goodbye to their beloved dog Tiger.

Directors’ trademarks is a series of articles that examines the “signatures” that filmmakers leave behind in their work. This month, with the release of T2 Trainspotting, we’re looking at the trademark style and calling signs of Danny Boyle as director.
After almost deciding to become a priest early in his teens, Boyle instead found something else that sparked his interest; drama. He studied English and drama in college, and upon graduating worked for several theatre companies. Eventually, he began to direct productions, something he still does to this day between film projects. In 1987 he left theater to work for BBC in Ireland and became a producer and director of television shows. He directed several TV movies before making his first feature film in 1994, Shallow Grave. That film found widespread appeal in audiences and critics alike, and became the highest grossing British film in 1995. The success of that film allowed...

David Lynch proved himself as a master of film music in his 1986 feature.
“Every note of music has enough breath to carry you away, and as a director, all you have to do is let the right wind blow at the right time” — David Lynch
Sound and music are incredibly important in David Lynch’s films. From Eraserhead (1977) on, Lynch has shown his talent for creating creepy and dreamy soundscapes, which include music and dialogue as well as diegetic and non-diegetic sound effects. Perhaps Lynch’s most popular film, Blue Velvet (1986) perfectly blends together pop music, original score, and Lynchian sound effects. Blue Velvet is especially rich with beautiful music that both comments on and runs counter to the images onscreen. This was the first film in which Lynch focused on both original score/sound effects and pre-existing pop music.
David Lynch is never completely serious or completely joking — he is always both at the same time...

Julia's lost her shade.
As far as twists go, the reveal on The Magicians Season 2 Episode 8, "Word as Bond," may be one of the least shocking.
After all, we knew the baby/parasite was attached to Julia's soul. We knew Julia contemplated letting go of her shade to heal from her trauma.
But knowing what would happen didn't damper the story in the slightest.
For one thing, we got to watch the talented Stella Maeve show off a new side of Julia. Without her shade, she's not bogged down by the weight of her trauma.
She's also not worrying about the consequences of her actions. Julia's mission has always been to bring down Reynard. Now, she can do it without fear.
My loyalty will always be with me.

Get behind these lessons from the man behind the mouse.
What would Walt Disney have thought of the new live-action Beauty and the Beast? What would he have thought of the 1991 animated version? While there are so many questions we’d love to have answered about the man’s take on the modern world, it’s best to look at what we can still learn from such an iconic figure 50 years after his death.
Disney remains an inspiration for students of business in particular, but a lot of his words of wisdom originated with and still speak to the art of filmmaking and creators in general. We highlight six such tips for writers, directors, animators, and more below.

Was that the finale you had in mind for such a brilliant freshman season?
It's not easy to say, but This Is Us Season 1 Episode 18 failed to deliver on its promises. There were no tears, not a lot of emotion and the bottle episode focusing on a failing relationship wasn't nearly as effective as it should have been.
I'm not left wondering what's next for Jack and Rebecca, but why I don't really care.
Theirs is supposed to be a love affair for the ages, and I believe Jack thinks that it is. He feels a lot of love for Rebecca and his family.
By witnessing everything that happened to the couple just prior to their meeting, why he fell so hard for her makes more sense than ever before. She was not only beautiful and talented (and whatever else he discovered soon after meeting her), but she quite literally...

Michael Glatze – the titular “Michael” of I Am Michael – rocked the Lgbt community with both positive influence and negative poison (a life story that he sold for $75K). His pursuit of purity is what drives Justin Kelly’s biographical drama, playing out an age-old war between religion and homosexuality. An old-school journey through acceptance, everlasting scorn and homosexual damnation with extreme responses to holy turmoil, still socially relevant for openly gay individuals in today’s far-more accepting world. Kelly wants to speak to broader audiences, and he accomplishes just that – but with such an extreme example, are the messages received by all open ears?
James Franco stars as gay icon/bastard turncoat Michael Glatze, who we first meet as a San Franciscan trailblazer for queer acceptance. Michael’s passion is fuelled by helping closeted youths embrace their true personalities, and he does so by managing Xy Magazine with the support...

If I wrote you a symphony/Just to say what you mean to me (what would you do?)Justin Timberlake has stated in the past that the lyrics to his song “My Love” represent a humble approach to love itself. Jonathan Demme’s approach in Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids, his concert documentary of the final show of Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience tour in 2015, is to take this concept and expand upon it. “Love,” in this concert film, is not between individuals, nor between an individual and a group, but rather is a fully utopic vision within a single, musical space in Las Vegas’s MGM Grand. Within this space, Timberlake does not perform as much as react: the audience loves him, and he loves them back. It is Demme’s inspiration to take this premise and run with it, that everybody is a part of the show. In this sense,...

One way to take a TV show from epic to iconic is to give viewers a memorable music-filled episode. And one popular program is about to do just that.
Oliver Goldstick, one of Pretty Little Liars‘ executive producers, revealed that the show will include a musical number somewhere in its final few episodes. In anticipation of that surprise (and, you know, finally getting all of our Uber A-related questions answered), we took a look back at other casts who gave us musical performances.

Gretchen Carlson has been open with both her children about the sexual harassment she allegedly faced while working alongside now-ousted Fox News CEO Roger Ailes — but she probably never imagined her experiences would come up at her daughter’s school.
Carlson revealed in a Q&A with Good Housekeeping‘s Jane Francisco on Tuesday that her daughter recently started eighth grade. “Unfortunately, or fortunately depending how you look at it, Mommy’s been in current events recently,” she said. “So, on the first day of school, that was a topic in her class.”

One of the greatest anxieties that any couple can have is the possibility of one day separating from each other. With each “I love you” comes an expectation that this love will be forever. It is easy for couples to imagine others separating but is much more difficult to imagine this happening to themselves. Separation is all the harder to imagine—and is especially difficult to handle—once has reached a certain age and has built a life with their spouse. One builds this life according to certain habits and creates an imaginary wall around relationships, but with the wall destroyed one might feel profoundly lost. Mia Hansen-Løve’s film Things to Come deals closely with the struggles of separation for a middle-aged woman. For Hansen-Løve, it seems that one can deal with and potentially overcome the pain of separation if they know the issue and propose a proper method for dealing with it.

Sometimes small towns just give us the creeps. Maybe it's the way the townsfolk look at you when they know you don't belong. Maybe its because you don't know what might be hiding in that dark and empty building. But, the townsfolk know.
But, not all small towns are dark and dreary. Sometimes the prettiest little locales are the ones with the darkest secrets. You can't quite place your finger on it, but something's just off.
Could that waitress be a demon? Is that guy back from the dead? Maybe he's just a psychopath.

One way to bump up your makeup look this holiday season: using highlighter. That's by no means new information. And we'll get to those in a minute, but first, her rule of thumb: "I like to stick with a liquid-based highlighter for dry skin and powders for oily skin," noted the...
