[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 21 Episode 9 “Prime Cut.”] Turns out Special Agent Nick Torres is a horse whisperer. We spoke with Wilmer Valderrama about his character’s hidden talent, revealed in tonight’s trip-to-Texas episode, and how it relates to the actor’s real life in the latest installment of NCIS: Case Closed, our weekly aftershow. “I’ve been a horse fanatic since I was a little boy. I grew up in Venezuela riding horses my whole life since I was very, very little. So having an opportunity to just get back in the saddle, if you will, was very exciting,” Valderrama told us. It’s just a warm-up for the horsemanship Valderrama’s tackling next. “I’m going to start training for some really complex riding very soon for other things and other dreams of mine, as you can imagine what I’m talking about,” says the actor, who is set to...

The CBS hit show, NCIS, has been hit with a divorce. One of their beloved stars‘ wife has filed for a divorce from her husband. This happened after the couple had been married for over 18 years.
Who Is Carrie James Murray?
Carrie James Murray is the wife of the NCIS star. Seeing she is not a Hollywood staple, having never appeared in either television or in movies, little is known about her. Before her marriage, it is unlikely anyone other than her friends and family had ever heard of her.
Carrie James Murray has been reported as having a bachelor’s degree in social work. She earned her degree from San Francisco State University from 1995 to 1999. She returned to college in 2002. It was then when she earned her master’s degree from Antioch University in Los Angeles, California. Her master’s degree is in “education leadership.”
The NCIS wife is the mother of two.

NCIS Season 21 is still filming upcoming episodes, with the season finale slated to air this spring.
Despite this being a shortened season due to the Hollywood strikes, NCIS is about to have a monumental event.
NCIS will soon debut the 1,000th episode of an NCIS program (counting all its spin-offs). This is a big deal for the franchise.
That big episode is reportedly slated to arrive on Monday, April 15, with plenty of fanfare from CBS expected.
To take a franchise to 1000 episodes and beyond is extremely impressive, and there are no signs of the NCIS Universe slowing down.
It was recently revealed that Anthony Dinozzo and Ziva David are getting an NCIS spin-off. The stars (Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo) will be filming soon.
Sean Murray shares some NCIS spoilers from the set

NCIS released a video featuring cast members discussing their time working with David McCallum.
David was beloved by the NCIS cast and crew, which was very evident in the tribute episode for Ducky.
He played Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for years and left a lasting impact on his co-workers, friends, and fans.
An episode called The Stories We Leave Behind aired on February 19. It included a memorial card to show how much David is missed.
The episode focused on one last case that Ducky was working on, and the NCIS team did what it could to solve the mystery.
Some NCIS fans also caught the hint of Gibbs’ location that was featured early in the episode.
NCIS cast members share messages of love for David McCallum
The video below features many current NCIS cast members sharing fond memories of David McCallum.
Wilmer Valderrama (Agent Nick Torres) said he would never forget “how professional” David was.

Saying goodbye to Ducky was difficult for his colleagues at NCIS and viewers.
The current incarnation of the NCIS Major Crimes Response Team bid farewell to longtime medical examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard on NCIS Season 21 Episode 2.
But only about half of this squad really knew Dr. Mallard, who started fading into retirement about four seasons ago: Jimmy Palmer (his protege), Kasie Hines (his scribe), and Tim McGee, the only agent to go back nearly as far as he did.
That isn't to say the rest of them didn't know and respect the legend of Ducky. But of those, only Nick Torres and Director Vance had much professional overlap with him.
Otherwise, Ducky was that cool old guy who would stop by and maybe consult when he wasn't busy with a book tour or a teaching job. And let's not forget his official role as NCIS historian, combining two of his passions.

NCIS isn’t going anywhere. More than 450 episodes into its run, the CBS drama about naval criminal investigators hasn’t lost any steam – or the support of the network. The show, which had its 21st season premiere on Feb. 12, isn’t “slowing down anytime soon,” a CBS executive recently promised.
‘NCIS’ is still going strong after 20 seasons (L-r): Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer, Katrina Law as NCIS Special Agent Jessica Knight, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, Diona Reasonover as Forensic Scientist Kasie Hines, and Gary Cole as FBI Special Agent Alden Parker in ‘NCIS’ Season 21 Episode 2 | Michael Yarish/CBS ©2023 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. For any show to last 20 seasons is an impressive feat, especially in today’s competitive TV environment. But NCIS has managed to pull it off. The Jag spinoff, which premiered in September 2003 is now one of the longest-running scripted primetime shows in TV history.

NCIS Season 21 began on Monday night without David McCallum.
David had played Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for years but passed away during the hiatus for NCIS.
The first episode of the season was used to wrap up a storyline from last year, but now it is time for the Ducky tribute episode.
Brian Dietzen (he plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer) worked closely with David for years. Their characters also shared many NCIS scenes.
Brian has written NCIS episodes in the past, so it made perfect sense for him to help craft the storylines for a Ducky tribute episode.
NCIS will air the episode on Monday, February 19, and it is intended to honor the character and the man who played him for 20 seasons.

NCIS has begun teasing the upcoming Ducky tribute episode – and the extended footage is heartbreaking.
Actor David McCallum died during the long hiatus between seasons. He had played Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for years.
Now, the show has to address the situation, and they will do it with a night dedicated to David and Ducky.
Brian Dietzen — he plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer on the NCIS cast — wrote the NCIS episode for February 19.
Having Brian penning the episode should make it a very emotional night, as he was friends and worked closely with David.
The early footage is already ramping up the emotional overtones of the night, with some famous faces from the past popping up.
This new episode will also address that mysterious phone call from the season premiere.

The NCIS writers used a familiar trope to introduce a new character on Monday night.
FBI Agent Rose began the new episode as an adversary to the NCIS team, much like how former FBI Agent Alden Parker was situated when he was first introduced.
Parker was tasked with tracking down and arresting Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Rose was tasked with proving the guilt of Agent Nick Torres in a murder case.
Parker eventually saw that Gibbs and how he did his job was necessary. He turned from being an adversary to becoming an integral part of NCIS.
Rose began NCIS Season 21, Episode 1, as someone at odds with the NCIS team, but by the end of the hour, she was helping them out.
In the final moments of the season premiere, Rose followed Parker to NCIS, taking on a new job for Director Vance (Rocky Carroll).
Who plays Agent Rose on the NCIS cast?...

NCIS finally returned from hiatus with its Season 21 premiere on Monday night.

Nick and Aida were cleared before the hour was up, thanks to the help of former FBI Agent Rose (Kim Matula).

Welcome back to the big orange room! While it was nice to get more of Torres' backstory, NCIS Season 21 Episode 1 felt a little bit of a backslide for Nick.
He got sober and was in a really good place after all of his sessions with Dr. Grace during NCIS Season 20.
He managed to get past his pain when Bishop and then Gibbs left. This felt like we were revisiting the old Nick.
But hopefully, this is a temporary setback, and with Riva gone, Nick can finally heal. It was terrific to meet his sister.
The actresses who played young Lucia and current Lucia were perfectly cast; they really looked similar -- nicely done casting people!
But the biggest shock of the episode was the lack of the elevator ding.
I count on hearing that ding every episode, and this is the first in my memory without it. I hope...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the NCIS Season 21 premiere “Algún Día.”] Is Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) a murderer? Well, as NCIS shows us in the Season 21 premiere, he would be somewhat justified, given that the man who ends up dead, Maurice Riva (Al Sapienza), made his and his family’s lives a nightmare when they were growing up. But as the episode goes on, it becomes clear that he’s not the one responsible, though he’s protecting the person he thinks is his sister. After all, “someday” was what they’d said as kids … which is why he doesn’t even want her to be his lawyer. And so that’s why TV Insider had to bring in Wilmer Valderrama for our first weekly NCIS aftershow for the CBS drama, NCIS: Case Closed, with our Kate Hahn. “I had this crazy idea that we should send Torres to prison,” Valderrama reveals of the Season 20 finale.

CBS’ NCIS with its Season 21 premiere on Monday night, yes, threatened to send Special Agent Nick Torres to prison for murder. But it also, with its last moments, planted the seed for what promises to be one of the long-running drama’s most emotional storylines.

Agent Nicholas Torres joined NCIS on Season 14 of the hit show.
The character came on to replace (very) Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo.
Actor Michael Weatherly had played Tony for years but was ready to try new things.
Enter Wilmer Valderrama, who was a risky choice by the NCIS brass after his years of playing Fez on That ’70s Show.
The risk paid off because Valderrma has been great as Torres, even from the first moment he was on the screen as Torres in Season 14, Episode 1.
Torres has been through much drama on the show, leading fans to ask if he is about to leave NCIS. Here’s what we know.

“Truth is, this job isn’t for everybody. It requires you to trust the people in this building with your life. But the only way we do this is together,” Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) says in the new NCIS Season 21 trailer. We’ve already seen Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) arrested by the FBI (charged with murder!) in the NCIS bullpen in a sneak peek from the February 12 premiere, and now, there’s a glimpse at a video message he’s left for the team. “If you’re watching this. I’ve been arrested,” he says. “I know you’ll want to help me, but don’t.” Season 20 ended with Torres confronting a man from his past (Al Sapienza‘s Maurice Riva) and telling him he wants to watch him die; we’ve since learned ...

You can’t go wrong with a classic. For the shortened 21st season of NCIS that premieres February 12, “All we wanted to do was get back to doing what we do best, which is tell really great stories,” says David J. North, a longtime NCIS writer who has joined Steven D. Binder as co-showrunner. With only 10 episodes, due to the actors’ and writers’ strikes, each hour is a stand-alone story with smaller character arcs. The opener picks up with the vengeful Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), last seen in the cliffhanger finale promising to pull the trigger on a man from his childhood who’d devastated his family. “Torres does something to the mystery man, Maurice Riva [Al Sapienza, who played Mikey Palmice on The Sopranos], that threatens to end his career as an NCIS agent,” North reveals. “The team rallies around Torres, but it may be too late to save his badge—and his freedom.

Exactly how much has Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) followed in his former boss’ footsteps? Well, like Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in Season 18, Torres is led out of the bullpen in handcuffs in the NCIS premiere. In the new clip CBS has released from the episode airing on February 12, Alden Parker (Gary Cole) tries to intervene as two FBI agents take Torres away. “You want to tell me what you’re doing?” he asks. “I think the handcuffs give it away,” one of the FBI agents tells him. “Hey, Nick, whatever this is, we’re going to get it straightened out, Ok?” Parker says. “First Gibbs, now this one,” the FBI agent remarks. “You always stick up for the wrong people, Alden.” What does that mean? “Read the warrant.” As Torres is taken away, Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) asks, “Is this for real?” It looks like it, Parker says. Torres is being charged with murder.

Old buddies “TNT” — that’s NCIS: Hawai‘i boss Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and brave NCIS agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) — each ended their seasons tripped up by someone from their past. Tennant will surely get blowback for the escape of her mentor turned traitor, Maggie Shaw (Julie White), but Torres’ situation was exponentially worse: pointing a gun at a mystery man (Al Sapienza) he’d recognized while undercover in prison and tracked down. To recap, after his secret op, Torres made a chilling call: “I found him, Sis. You know who I’m talking about. The bastard’s still alive.” Maybe not for long. The man, who called Torres “Nicky,” said he thinks about him and his family often, and claimed to have changed. Still, Torres wants to watch him die. Typically, it’s pejorative to call a series formulaic. But when it’s a franchise spin-off of one of CBS’s longest-running, most beloved dramas, the question is whether it’s faithful to the big daddy, “NCIS.” The series first premiered starring Mark Harmon as man-of-few-words and dynamic-action-hero-with-a-dark-past Leroy Jethro Gibbs on Sept. 23, 2003. It’s now celebrating its 20th anniversary; does the franchise, beloved by audiences global and domestic, still have juice?

NCIS has been going strong for two decades. But there have been a few times when it seemed like the show might not be able to continue, particularly when fan-favorite characters such as Abby Sciuto and Leroy Jethro Gibbs left the show. In fact, the departure of another key actor felt like a death knell for the long-running series, an NCIS insider recently revealed.

In May, NCIS ended its Season 20 finale, “Black Sky,” with quite the cliffhanger: Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) pulling his gun not in an official capacity and seemingly threatening to kill a man. The episode saw him undercover in prison as part of an attempt to get more information about an impending terror attack, but the most intriguing part came when he recognized someone from his past: a man visiting an inmate. That man was the inmate’s mother’s boyfriend, supposedly helping him with his legal problems… but also responsible for making his and his mom’s lives hell since he showed up. It also seemed like Torres believed he framed the inmate. But why? It was once Torres returned to NCIS and left his sister a voicemail that the pieces began to come together. “I found him,” he said. ‘You know who I’m talking about. The...

Nick Torres in prison? He must be undercover! NCIS executive producer Steven D. Binder can neither confirm nor deny. In the Season 20 finale, someone behind bars holds information the team needs to stop a terrorist attack. “We don’t necessarily know what shape Torres in prison will take,” Binder cautions, adding Wilmer Valderrama’s special agent “can be a little hotheaded and do things that aren’t necessarily appropriate for an agent that have consequences.” Whatever brings him there, “his experience in prison is going to bring up a lot of demons from his past,” finale cowriter David J. North says. “The emotional baggage that he’s carried, going all the way back to before he even joined the show when he was constantly doing deep undercover work and his problems with alcohol, his journey in prison is going to be one that’s very emotionally taxing for him.” And...

It’s finally happening: a three-show NCIS crossover. Unlike other shared universes (namely One Chicago and Law & Order) that have had massive events across multiple series, the NCIS shows have stuck to smaller ones, with the occasional two-hour ones. But now, the NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: Hawai’i teams will be working one case together for a crossover set to air in January, according to EW. Production has started on the event. There aren’t many details out just yet. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 19’s “Starting Over” and NCIS: Hawai’i‘s “T’N’T.”] How fitting is it that NCIS: Hawai’i‘s first crossover features actors from another shared universe on TV? Sure, they never crossed paths during their time in the Arrowverse, but Katrina Law (Arrow) and Teddy Sears (The Flash) both have major parts to play as the action moves from NCIS to the island. First, in “Starting Over” in D.C., Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) learns from Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) that a missing witness from an old case might have turned up in Oahu. That leads to the first mention of a conference in Orlando where something happened to lead to rumors of “T’N’T.” So what happened? Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) heard they jumped off a balcony into the hotel pool. It wasn’t that high, Torres says, and they shared a few laughs,...
