On a break from filming Cosmopolis, Robert Pattinson hangs out with Montreal Canadiens player Michael Cammalleri! Is he a big hockey fan?
The 29-year-old hockey player, number 13 on the Montreal Canadiens, tweeted on June 29 that he’d been hangin’ with Robert Pattinson — wonder if they’re good buds? Cammalleri posted, complete with a picture, “Got in a workout with Jorge Blanco and Robert Pattinson last weekend…”
It’s good to know there are no boundaries in friendships, whether you’re a Hollywood celeb or an NHL star — bros don’t discriminate. And both have reasons to stay in shape and keep those bods beautiful. The 2011-2012 regular season for the Canadiens starts up in October, and we all know what Rob’s up to — nobody wants to see a scrawny on-screen vampire or multi-millionaire, and we’re sure Kristen Stewart wants her man staying big and strong.

The Box (12A)
(Richard Kelly, 2009, Us) Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, Frank Langella. 116 mins
Will Kelly ever make another movie as good as Donnie Darko? There are signs here that he might, but he hasn't this time. The Twilight Zone plot – press the button on this box and you'll get $1m, but someone will die – opens up more moral/conspiracy/sci-fi elements than the film can handle. Still, too much is better than not enough, especially when it's as smoothly sinister, visually sophisticated and borderline bonkers as this.

(Richard Linklater, 2008, Us/UK) Zac Efron, Claire Danes. 114 mins

Planet 51
Directed by: Jorge Blanco, Javier Abad, Marcos Martinez
Cast: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Justin Long, Jessica Biel, Seann William Scott
Running Time: 1 hr 30 min
Rating: PG
Release Date: November 20, 2009
Plot: An American astronaut lands on an inhabited planet where the aliens resemble 1950’s Americans. Once he lands, he needs the help of Lem (Long) to hide from the alien army that wants to dissect his brain.
Who’S It For? Kids. Though there are a lot of jokes aimed at adults that will go right over most children’s heads.
Expectations: Not high, the premise seemed kind of like it hinges on one joke, based on the trailer.
Scorecard (0-10)

There are four big movies in wide release this weekend. We have the Sandra Bullock starrer "The Blind Side," the animated film "Planet 51," "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire," and of course, the inescapable "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
"The Blind Side"
Based on the book by Michael Lewis, "The Blind Side" tells the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, a homeless, neglected African-American youngster from a broken home.
He's not that good in school, but he shows potential in sports.
Michael gets accepted at the Briarcrest Christian School because of the insistence of the school's football coach.
One cold night, a Christian family sees Michael walking with nowhere to go. That couple is the Touhys -- Leigh Anne played by Sandra Bullock and Sean played by Tim McGraw.
Together with their kids, Lily and Sj, the Touhys decide to begin taking care of Michael's needs. It's...

New Moon Studio: Summit Entertainment Rated: PG-13 for some violence and action. Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone Directed by: Chris Weitz What it’s about: The not-so-epic Twilight saga continues with Bella bellyaching about how much she wants to become a vampire. Edward realizes that if he sticks around, he (or someone in his family) will kill and eat her, so he leaves to find himself. Bella falls into a depression until the hunky Jacob Black becomes her Bff but, surprise surprise, he’s actually a werewolf. And Bella wants to know what this all means for her. What I liked: The second half. Seriously, once the claws come out with the wolf pack and we later get to see the Volturi (i.e., the awesome Italian vampires), things really pick up. The film turns into less of a teenage angst fest and looks more like a vampire movie. Particularly...

Director(s): Jorge Blanco, Javier Abad (co-director) Writer: Joe Stillman Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, Justin Long, Gary Oldman, John Cleese, Seann William Scott It's the 1950s on Planet 51, and young Lem (Justin Long) is a budding astronomer. Lem is convinced there's more to the universe than what he's been spoon-fed by his elders, but pacifying the elders proves beneficial in furthering his dreams. Just when things are looking up for Lem, along comes Captain Charles T. Baker (Dwayne Johnson), 21st Century astronaut from Earth, and alien enemy to Planet 51. Lem finds himself caught between saving “Chuck” Baker and siding with the town, a sort of hapless group of vigilantes bent on seeing the alien on the dissection table. While Baker is amazed to find the planet inhabited by little green creatures, he is even more shocked to find himself running for his life through a very Mayberryesque alien landscape.

A look at animated movie "Planet 51" has been shared through a new clip. Unlike previously released snippets which give a lot of portion to Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker, this footage highlights Professer Kripple who wants to show his psychic ability in front of other characters, including Chuck.
Planet 51 is a place where "life is simple, children are carefree and everything is pleasant". Thinking that he is the first person who sets foot on it, Nasa astronaut Chuck is surprised when finding out the planet is already inhabited by little green people. Chuck's existence freaks out the local inhabitants who think he is an alien.
There, Chuck somehow befriends one of the planet's inhabitants named Lem. With the help of his new friend and his robot companion "Rover", he must now find a way out of Planet 51 before he is made into a permanent part of the planet's Alien Invaders Space Museum.

Another entry into the marketplace of animated films for 2009, rookie director Jorge Blanco's Planet 51 already has a few things going against it -- at least from a marketability standpoint. For one, it is not associated with either Dreamworks or Pixar, the only two studios who seem to be able to make CG-animated features into box office successes. Secondly, it is one of about 90 science fiction films coming out this year that involve humans as aggressors on an alien planet -- the highest profile of which is James Cameron's Avatar. But in fairness to Planet 51, a film led by the vocal talents of Dwayne Johnson, Justin Long, Gary Oldman, Jessica Biel and John Cleese, this second theatrical trailer is a lot of fun. A little space nerdiness courtesy of the nods to the American astronaut bravado, a little bit of cute robot action (can't help but love that rover) and some potentially funny mix-up...

The full theatrical trailer for the animated 3D film Planet 51 has appeared at Yahoo. The film is about a human astronaut (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) who lands on an alien planet, only to discover that it looks exactly like Earth. Sure, the denizens are green aliens, but otherwise they're just like us...and not too happy to have an alien invader in their midst. Gary Oldman, Jessica Biel, Justin Long and John Cleese are also in the voice cast. Joe Stillman (Shrek and Shrek 2, the upcoming Gulliver's Travels) is credited with the script and Jorge Blanco, Javier Abad and Marcos Martinezare co-directed. See the trailer after the jump. Planet 51 isn't quite a world just like ours -- more like stereotypical '50s America, only where the women walk little alien dogs. (By which I mean zenomorph, chestbursting dogs.) The dogs are the least of astronaut Chuck Baker's problems,...

The CG animated movie “Planet 51″ has a pretty nifty premise: what if there are other alien life out there, and they regard us as the “alien invaders”? The premise actually sounds a bit like “Battle for Terra”, except I believe “Planet 51″ is all comedy, while “Terra” is all “human sucks!” with a serious face. New poster for the movie after the jump. The inhabitants of Planet 51 live in fear of alien invasion. Their paranoia is realized when an astronaut arrives from Earth. Befriended by a young resident, he has to avoid capture in order to recover his spaceship and try to return home. Featuring the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Jessica Biel, Justin Long, Gary Oldman, and John Cleese. Scott and Johnson are actually reuniting after starring in “The Rundown” together. Jorge Blanco and Javier Abad directs. The humans invade November 20.
