If you've been eagerly waiting more Wall-E type animated films, this is the first that feels Wall-E inspired. It's also the best cartoon film since Wall-E.
Fortunately, unlike 9, it's not simply a copy-cat film. There's a different story and only one similar character, though it's more like an advanced Mars probe.
For some, the zombies that can't get past certain language similarities and fail to enjoy the running joke, it might be better to view this as a variation on a time travel story where some future society travels back to our 1950s.
This is a very wise story with some advanced science-fiction concepts simplified for kids, so some may find it too simplified. Personally, I found that a strength and found this to be far more plausible than the latest Star Trek film.
