The company’s plans for the recently-wrapped pic’s release have not yet been disclosed.
The first feature from writer-director Thom Harp is a farce centered on the recently single Jaclyn (Åkerman), who desperately wants to become a mom — by any means necessary. So, it was Bart who chopped off the head of Jebediah Springfield. I knew it! Wait...that's a different show and a different statue. (Simpsons did it!)
While that case was easy to solve, Riverdale Season 2 Episode 12 had a seedier reason for the decapitation of their town's statue. Lots of deception, plotting and political deals all led to the head. But, in this case, it also led to everyone's favorite crime boss.
That's so Hiram...
I'm not surprised one bit that Hiram had something to do with the decapitation of the General Pickens statue. When in doubt, all crimes lead to the criminal overlord in charge. It's almost expected at this point that he's involved somehow.
What did hook me in was the backlash caused by the decapitation.
No one was taking this vandalism lightly; everyone had a role to play and took the opportunity to strike because of it.

After what felt like an eternity, Supergirl has finally returned from its winter hiatus. Sure, it’ll be forced into hibernation again in a matter of weeks, but let’s just enjoy seeing the Girl of Steel while we can, shall we?
To say that a lot went down in last night’s midseason premiere is an understatement. Not only did the Legion of Super-Heroes – Mon-El, Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5, in this case – come together for the first time on this particular series, but Reign continued handing anyone who had the guts to take her on their respective asses, effectively proving that she’s easily one of the Arrowverse’s most powerful villains to date.
Luckily for everyone, the Maiden of Might showed up just in time to help balance the scales in the favor of good, thus forcing the Worldkiller to retreat and lick her wounds. Still, this war is far,...

Even with an extended hiatus looming, it sure does look like Supergirl will squeeze in a fair amount of memorable moments within the four episodes set to air over the next few weeks. For starters, the Legion of Super-Heroes will be making their presence known in the midseason premiere itself.
So far, the network has been slowly pulling back the curtain on each individual member of one of DC’s oldest and most beloved super teams. Just last week, for instance, we got our first look at Brainiac 5 and, yesterday, we finally saw Mon-El donning some heroic threads.
Normally, the Arrowverse costuming department does a pretty fine job, but the online reaction to how the Legion is thus far appearing has been met with some consternation. While Smallville‘s iteration of the team was a bit more casual in appearance, they were recognizable as those characters. Supergirl‘s take,...

To this point, Supergirl season 3 has proven to be a different beast from its predecessor. Last year, we were given a science fiction tour de force as the series fully embraced its comic book roots, often feeling like a live action answer to Superman: The Animated Series. This time, however, the focus has been placed more on drama, perhaps in an effort to keep the show’s budget in check.
Regardless, the back half of this season will still mine the DC well as much as possible, for we know that the Legion of Super-Heroes are set to make an impact upon the show’s return from hiatus. And, with that, Mon-El will finally suit up – only his costume isn’t quite accurate to the source material.

A campfire tale for the social media age, Friend Request is Hollywood’s latest attempt to portray the internet as a scary place. It’s a conventional and predictable horror yarn, though well-executed enough that if you go in with lowered expectations, you may have some fun with it. Friend Request begins promisingly, introducing protagonist Laura Woodson (Alycia Debnam-Carey) in a lively and well-edited montage showing how she blends her real life with the internet. Laura is an outgoing popular college sophomore with plenty of friends including close ones Olivia (Brit Morgan), Izzy (Brooke Markham) and Gus (Sean Marquette), boyfriend Tyler (William Moseley), and over 800 more on Facebook (though the word ‘Facebook’ is never actually uttered in the film). She accepts a friend request from a fellow student, the damaged goth misfit Marina Nedifar (anagram of ‘A Friend’ – and played by Liesl Ahlers), who seems to do little except stare...

While today’s technology-laden world makes a lot of things easier, it also comes at a price. Things may be easier than ever before, allowing us to be more productive in ways we never imagined, but it can sometimes open up all sorts of unexpected dangers.
There have been all kinds of horror movies that use technology at its center. One Missed Call used the cell phone, Unfriended was a horror film that took place over an extensive Skype conversation, and now, Friend Request takes the idea of social media and mixes it with a dash of more traditional horror elements, including witchcraft. But is it enough to make this film anything more than another gimmick?
Based on the trailer, it’s difficult to say. At some points, the concepts seems pretty interesting, but at others, it comes across as more of a cringefest. This one also has an interesting release history.

With a new episode of Supergirl being mere hours away, there is much to talk about. After kicking off season 2B in style, no doubt thanks to having Kevin Smith in the director’s chair, this series shows no signs of losing any of the momentum it’s gained since jumping networks. Seriously, it’s Flash good.
First, let’s briefly discuss the preview clip that can be viewed at the top. In it, Supergirl and Mon-El are confronted by someone who is “seemingly” Livewire in a garage. Now, this sneak peek may be a bit more spoiler-ish than intended (lest we forget last week’s Arrow debacle), revealing that a new threat may have emerged and is operating under the guise of Leslie Willis. But even if there is a twist to be witnessed, that doesn’t decrease our level of anticipation in the slightest.

Here we have a couple of preview clips from tonight's installment of Supergirl, which is titled "We can be Heroes". In the first, the Girl of Steel and Mon-El come up against Livewire, who uses her powers to recruit an electrifying new ally. Plus, it seems Winn is having second thoughts about helping James with his new calling as a crime-fighting vigilante and insists that he reveals his secret to Kara. After Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is intent on recapturing her. After training Mon-El (Chris Wood), Supergirl takes him with her when she sees Livewire attack the Ncpd but things go awry when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) decides to come clean with Kara and M’Gann (guest star Sharon Leal), has a psychic attack and collapses into a coma.

As Mon-El looks to embrace a more heroic destiny, he's finally wearing a costume...and it's kind of awful! With any luck, this is only temporary, especially as his comic book counterpart looks so much cooler. Still, with Livewire on the loose, Kara Danvers will need all the help she can get in Supergirl next Monday. After all, that villain has shown herself to be a real threat on more than one occasion now. What do you think of Mon-El's new look? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below. According to EW, The CW has a Valentine's Day-themed episode of Supergirl in the pipeline that'll put the spotlight on the budding romance between Alex (Chyler Leigh) and her new girlfriend Maggie (Floriana Lima). Apparently the latter isn't too keen on the Hallmark holiday which leads to a fight, but as you can see from the promo still below, they obviously make up before February 14! In addition, we have a sneak peek from next week's installment, which sees Kara coming to the realization that having her very own nemesis isn't as much fun as she expected it to be. After Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is intent on recapturing her. Supergirl made a triumphant return last night with an episode helmed by Kevin Smith (Clerks) and next week, the Girl of Steel's adventures continue with the return of one of her first foes, Livewire. The hour will see Kara race against the clock to find the escaped supervillainess but run into an unexpected problem when Mon-El makes a surprising (but, not that surprising) move. Elsewhere, M'Gann falls into a coma and James decides it's finally time tell Kara the truth about Guardian. Check out two extended promos for episode ten, titled "We Can Be Heroes," below: "We Can Be Heroes" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. Et) (TV-pg, Lv) (HDTV) Livewire Is Set Loose Upon National City - After Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is intent on recapturing her. Tonight's episode of Supergirl shed some light on the Mon-El mystery and even dropped a big Legion of Superheroes hint, but before Kara can delve back into any of that, she's going to have to square off with Livewire. The villain has become a recurring presence in The CW series and even battled The Flash when he visited National City last year, so it should be pretty interesting to see what she gets up to. Supergirl has something of a villain problem. Season 1’s big bad (Kara’s aunt) was hugely underwhelming, and while Cadmus has fared a little better, there’s a lot the show could learn from Arrow and The Flash. However, it now appears as if we can expect to see some improvement as two of the Girl of Steel’s past foes look set to return next year.
We’re talking about are Metallo (Frederick Schmidt) and Livewire (Brit Morgan). The former has already made a couple of appearances in Supergirl; first, she targeted Cat Grant, but the electrically charged villain later teamed up with Silver Banshee to battle Kara and Earth-1’s Flash after he inadvertently ended up on her world.
Metallo, on the other hand, appeared in the first two episodes of season 2 where he could be seen squaring off with both Supergirl and her cousin Superman. One of...

Chaos is coming to National City when Supergirl returns next year as TV Line has confirmed that two fan-favourite villains will be making their return to The CW series. First up is Metallo (Frederick Schmidt), a Kryptonite powered baddie who squared off with both Kara Danvers and her cousin Superman in the two-part season premiere at the behest of the villainous organisation Cadmus. Another familiar face also set to return is Brit Morgan's Livewire. The character targeted Cat Danvers during the show's first season, but later returned to take on both the Girl of Steel and The Flash alongside Silver Banshee. Story details have not been revealed about why these villains resurface, but seeing as Supergirl has struggled in this area, fleshing out some familiar faces is a really good idea. Executive producer Ali Adler also tells the site that other "fan-favourite" villains will reappear this season, but wouldn't say any more than that.

As society continues to further the threshold of technological advancement, horror cinema must adapt accordingly. More than any other genre, horror films mirror social phenomenons to exploit generational norms. Wireless carriers rarely drop service, smartphones can be tracked via Gps locators, handheld devices can research data on-the-spot – it’s getting harder and harder for on-screen killers to dupe victims these days. That’s why movies like Unfriended, The Den and Cam2Cam have ushered in a new cyber-terror scourge, something that Simon Verhoeven’s Friend Request looks to upgrade.
Alycia Debnam-Carey stars as Laura, a popular college co-ed with a healthy social following on Facebook (it’s never spoken, but it’s Facebook). Out of the blue one night, she receives a friend request from one of her loner classmates (Marina Mills, played by Liesl Ahlers). Social media and horror cinema meet again, in Friend Request. Here's our review...
It is my understanding that young people today think Facebook is rubbish and favour apps like Snapchat to exchange misspelled insults and pictures of their sexual organs, so here’s a timely bit of techno-horror to crack the 'millennial' market. In fairness, Friend Request doesn’t mention Facebook once, but it does use every bit of terminology we associate with it, along with its fonts, layout and colour scheme. This illustrates just how embedded into everyday life Facebook’s verbal and visual grammar is, and Friend Request even finds time to be a bit scary every now and then.
There’s still a part of me that can’t watch characters using the internet or smartphones on film without wincing a little. It still feels like a cheat to me when used as a plot device,...
