Superman has taken over much of Illinois. His earthly hometown of Smallville has been constructed in the small city of Plano, Illinois, and now a couple of other areas within the state are reporting filming taking place in their vicinity. My Web Times reports that the production is going to film a scene on the U.S. 52 bridge nearby Serena, Illinois. Josh Kauffman, the Department of Transportation media spokesman mentioned that the rumor of the scene being shot on the bridge is that it has to do with a traffic accident of sorts. That's pretty vague, but couple that with director, Zack Snyder's past affinity for action, and the rough shape of Smallville, all things seem to point to 'Man of Steel' being Superman's most action-packed theatrical outing yet. The Kane County Chronicle is reporting more filming, which is to take place in Sugar Grove, Illinois sometime in August,...

New York -- Texas film and TV commissioner Bob Hudgins has something to brag about after last week's upfront presentations: The broadcast networks have picked up three new shows for this fall that will be shot in the Lone Star State.
"The Chase" (NBC) and "Lonestar" (Fox) will film in Dallas, while "My Generation" (ABC), which is set in Austin, is expected to shoot in the state capital. In addition, Dallas is the location for Fox summer show "The Good Guys."
"It's by far a banner year," Hudgins said. "In the past, one (show) was great, so I can't say enough." He pointed to Texas' production infrastructure and crews, as well as the state's film and TV production incentives that went into effect in April 2009 as key drivers.
"Incentives have made all the difference," he said.
Other big cities and states are getting primetime exposure as well.
