CBS Studios and the BBC’s period drama series “King & Conqueror” has revealed additional cast members, including “The Crown’s” Luther Ford and “Game of Thrones” actor Joseph Mawle, as it begins production in Iceland.
According to its official plot description, “King & Conqueror” is “the story of a clash that defined the future of a country – and a continent – for a thousand years, the roots of which stretch back decades and extend out through a pair of interconnected family dynasties, struggling for power across two countries and a raging sea. Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy were two men destined to meet at the Battle of Hastings in 1066; two allies with no design on the British throne, who found themselves forced by circumstance and personal obsession into a war for possession of its crown.”

New Delhi, May 27 (Ians) The measles-rubella (Mr) vaccine delivered via stickers to adults and infants as young as 9 months old is safe and effective, according to results of the first clinical trial.
The trial, evaluated the safety, immunogenicity, and acceptability of the commercially available Mr vaccine from the Serum Institute of India and delivered via US-based life science company Micron Biomedical’s microarray technology in adults, toddlers and infants, was presented at the Microneedles 2023 conference in Washington.
In the trial, conducted in The Gambia, 45 adults, 120 toddlers (15-18 months old) and 120 infants (9-10 months old) were enrolled and were randomised to receive Mr vaccine either by Micron’s microarray, which is painless, or by subcutaneous (Sc) injection.
Vaccination by microarray was found to be safe and well tolerated with no allergic reactions or related serious adverse events.
The immunogenicity shown was high and similar for those who received the vaccine via stickers or injection.

LONDON -- Kudos Pictures, the movie arm of U.K.-based indie film and television company Kudos, has hired Ed Clarke to head its development activities.
Clarke joins from sales, financier and production label Capitol Films, where he spent three years as head of development and acquisitions.
Headed by Stephen Garrett and Paul Webster, Kudos Pictures is part of Elisabeth Murdoch's Shine Group.
At Capitol, Clarke was responsible for acquisitions including John Maybury's "The Edge of Love", Sidney Lumet's "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" and Jonathan King's "Under the Mountain", which is due to begin shooting shortly in New Zealand.
Garrett and Webster said they have "long admired" Clarke's "good taste, tenacity and market savvy" and said he is joining at a "crucial stage in the company's development."
