Osamu Tezuka is often mentioned along with the title of “Father of Manga” and in many ways, he is, thanks to the prolific nature of his works and the fact that he managed to walk the perfect line between entertainment for kids and profound storytelling that took the medium of manga to an entirely new era. Characters like Astro Boy, Kimba, the White Lion, and Black Jack are still present in the audience’s minds even after so long, and thus the influence of Tezuka cannot be understated. Pluto is a new anime series based on the Astro Boy Universe, and Netflix has released the first official teaser for it.
Pluto is based on a manga of the same name written and illustrated not by Tezuka, who sadly passed away at the age of 60 in 1989, but by Naoki Urasawa, a more contemporary manga artist that has acquired an amazing reputation...

At the Monarto Zoo, you’re the one in the cage.
The Australian animal park recently opened a new feature called Lions 360, a cage inside the big cat’s enclosure that puts you just a claw’s length away from the majestic meowers.
“It’s a truly hair-raising experience with visitors able to enter the cage and get closer than ever before to our amazing lions,” Zoos Sa (which operates Monarto Zoo) chief executive Elaine Bensted told ABC News.

"We was robbed," James LoMenzo quipped at the end of Sunday night's The Amazing Race. "Literally," chimed in Mark "Abba" Abbatista. Which sums up the duo's stroke of seriously bad luck leading to their elimination in Sunday night's episode. It all started in last week's episode, when James, a former member of the bands White Lion and Megadeth, and Abba, an entertainment lawyer, left their backpacks in a taxi while heading to perform one of the challenges to receive their next clue -- and the cab driver drove off with their belongings, including Abba's passport. As longtime viewers know,

The Amazing Race, Season 21, Episode 1, “Double Your Money”
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
The Amazing Race premiere offers so many possibilities for the upcoming season. There are 22 new players to meet and lots of unknown challenges ahead. The potential is exciting, but it can lead to information overload because so much is happening. This isn’t the type of show that takes its time and clearly introduces its cast. Once the action gets rolling, it’s easy to forget which Chippendale spells his name “Jaymes” instead of “James”. This material demands an extended premiere so it can breathe and start on the right foot. Showcasing Phil’s introduction, 11 teams, and a complete leg in the regular hour is difficult to say the least. Survivor has the luxury of ignoring certain players who aren’t pivotal to the game. That doesn’t really work in this case. Even a...

Those casting people over at CBS are not messing around."America's Most Watched Network" just released the details on the cast for Season 21 of "The Amazing Race," and the teams span from strippers to a double amputee to a former heavy metal rocker.Take Jaymes and James (yes, that's really their names), pictured above. The gents are best friends and Chippendales dancers from Las Vegas ... seen posing for their team photo in the trademark Chippendales collars and cuffs. Think they'll also race shirtless while wearing those accessories? "Amazing," indeed.Amy Purdy is a 32-year-old motivational speaker/snowboarder, who also happens to be the show's first double amputee, and James LoMenzo, 53, is a professional musician and former band member of White Lion and Megadeth. Rock on.Click "Launch Gallery" above to see photos and descriptions of all 11 of this season's teams, including twin sisters, goat farmers, and even married monster truck drivers!

It looks like we're in for another, well, amazing season of The Amazing Race. CBS has just announced the 11 teams that will be competing in the show's upcoming 21st installment, and, as usual, we're being treated to a very diverse group of characters. Among those traveling the world to take on such challenges as facing a 10-story rappel in Los Angeles, frying an egg on their heads in Indonesia and working as rat collectors in Bangladesh are reality stars the Fabulous Beekman Boys, a pair of Chippendales dancers, a double-amputee snowboarder and a former band member of White Lion and Megadeth. This season, though, offers up a new twist. If the team that wins the first leg of the season can outrace...

CBS has announced the 11 teams of two that will traverse the globe on the 21st season of "The Amazing Race," which premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on CBS, with the Emmy-nominated Phil Keoghan returning as host.
The new season introduces a twist whereby if the team that wins the first leg of the season can also win the final leg of the Race, they will double their money and win $2 million instead of $1 million.
Teams will travel through three continents, nine countries and cover more than 25,000 miles, where they'll be faced with a 10-story rappel in Los Angeles, frying an egg on their heads in Indonesia, working as "rat collectors" in Bangladesh and revisiting one of the Race's most infamous Roadblocks in the Netherlands in this season's "Switchback."
Check out all the teams in our photo gallery!

CBS has revealed the cast for the 21st running of The Amazing Race, and it includes a pair of Chippendales dancers (who presumably though not necessarily will wear more than bow ties as they trot the globe), a double amputee pro snowboarder, a onetime member of the heavy metal bands White Lion and Megadeth and the goat milk-farming reality stars known as “The Fabulous Beekman Boys.”
What’s more, this year’s Race touts the biggest payday ever: a grand prize of $2 million.
Tar 21 premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8/7c. Here now, the cast:...
