It has been a Merry Christmas for the newly released films Dunki and Salaar at the box office, and while everyone had their Santa lists ready, even we had our wishlist ready on behalf of Bollywood. This list included the fate of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, and others.
While we wished for big box office numbers, we also wished for better films. Overall, we wished for a better and bigger year for Cinema in 2024. But we went a little overboard with our list, and this was one greedy list we handed over to Santa Claus last night.

Endemol Shine India has acquired the rights to Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s unreleased book Lioness: The Last Queen.
Indian author Divakaruni’s previous books include The Mistress Of Spices, Palace Of Illusions and One Amazing Thing, all of which have been optioned or adapted for screen.

The Los Angeles-based company’s Hyde Park Entertainment Asia division aims to champion diverse and inclusive talent pools, and the division’s first slate of projects will focus on Indian stories for English and local-language audiences.
