Want to know what happened after the "Haven" Season 3 finale? The answer will be in a graphic novel, set to be included with the series' Season 3 DVD set.
"Haven: After the Storm" details the immediate events following the meteor storm seen at the end of the last season. According to Deadline, only 100,000 copies have been printed of this 16-page book. The only source will be as part of the DVD set.
Written by Nick Parker (the "Haven" writers assistant), illustrated by Steve Ellis ("Captain America," "Immortals: Gods & Heroes") and with a cover by Scott Hampton, the graphic novel will be available starting Sept. 3.
Season 4 of "Haven" picks up the story a full six months after the Season 3 finale, so this graphic novel is meant to fill in a bit of that time jump. With Audrey (Emily Rose) and Duke (Eric Balfour) in the disappearing barn, they probably won't be around.

Fans of the Syfy supernatural drama won’t have to wait until Haven returns for a fourth season on September 13 to learn what happened right after the explosive Season 3 finale. The Season 3 DVD set of the series will include an exclusive Haven: After The Storm mini-graphic novel. With 100,000 copies printed, the 16-page comic details the immediate aftershock of the meteor-falling season ender on the mysterious town of Haven, Maine. Among other things, that finale saw FBI agent-turned-local cop Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) and the Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) character disappear into a vanishing barn. The DVD set comes out on September 3, and the graphic novel won’t be available anywhere else. The “Thanks For The Memories” episode of the eOne- and Big Motion Pictures-produced series, based on Stephen King’s 2005 novella The Colorado Kid, aired on January 17. The upcoming Season 4 of Haven actually picks up six months after the events of Season 3 finale,...

In the recent history of independent comics, it’s hard to argue there’s any character who has joined the main stream quite like Mike Mignola’s Hellboy. Consequently, he’s seen as high an amount of content put out as anyone outside the big two, and a whole mess of it can be found in Hellboy Library Edition Volume 6, a handsome and extensive hard cover from Dark Horse.

Bob Gale (Back to the Future) and Ryan E. Heppe (Short Circuit) are set to bring Scott Hampton‘s supernatural graphic novel Trespassers to the big screen. The story centers on a group of mythbusters who set out to debunk the legend of a famous allegedly haunted house. They have their scientific rationality tested when they discover demonic guardians, a gateway to hell and the fact that not all of them are exactly who they claim to be.
Producer Ryan Heppe told Variety,
“A good horror flick needs one thing: a simple, original premise that’s terrifying as hell,” Heppe said. “Add to that obvious franchise potential, and the opportunity to combine “found footage”-style scares with traditional filmmaking frights and you’ve got something really unique.”
No production or release dates have been announced for Trespassers.

There are few movies that exist which earn the people involved a “lifetime pass” for the rest of their careers, but I consider Back to the Future one of them. Those of you who have seen the movie just nodded your head in agreement; those of you who haven’t seen it aren’t reading this because you don’t exist. Much of the reason Back to the Future is so beloved is due to the script co-written by Bob Gale. If you pay attention to the other film writers and the people in the Twitterverse, people gush about how perfect the screenplay is from a storytelling standpoint and considering my statement at the beginning of this article, I’m definitely on their side.

According to Variety, Ryan E. Heppe is to produce a film of Scott Hampton's supernatural graphic novel Trespassers, with the screenplay to be adapted by Bob Gale (above).
Bob co-scripted the three Back to the Future films and has also written for comics, including Batman, Spider-Man and Daredevil.

Back to the Future screenwriter Bob Gale has been hired to write the script for the adaptation of Scott Hampton's supernatural graphic novel Trespassers.
I've never read the comic, but it sounds like it has a fun story that will make for a good horror film. According to Variety, the story "centers on a group of mythbusters, set on debunking the legend of a famous allegedly haunted house. They have their scientific rationality tested when they discover demonic guardians, a gateway to hell, and the fact that not all of them are exactly who they claim to be."
It's cool that Gale is on board to adapt the movie. On top of writing Back to the Future, he wrote Tales From the Crypt and 1941. It's strange to think that he hasn't done a lot more movies over the years.

Heppe as a producer and Bob Gale (Back to the Future) on board to adapt the story in a script. "A good horror flick needs one thing: a simple, original premise that's terrifying as hell," Heppe said. "Add to that obvious franchise potential, and the opportunity to combine "found footage"-style scares with traditional filmmaking frights and you've got something really unique." Here's a brief description on the graphic novel premise: Story centers on a group of mythbusters, set on debunking the legend of a famous allegedly haunted house. They have their scientific rationality tested when they discover demonic guardians, a gateway to hell and the fact that not all of them are exactly who they claim to be. Hampton also wrote and drew The Upturned Stone, which was set up twice by David Foster,...

Im a sucker for just about all things Hellboy. Mike Mignola is a bona fide mastermind, and Scott Hampton has a way with a pencil that very few artists rival. Both men put their best foot forward for this two part tale of captivity, love and legions of undead. As is the case, its up to big Red to sort through the insanity and keep peace on earth. Sleepings action takes place in England, where Hellboy unknowingly sets in motion a series of c…...

Welcome to another edition of The Pull List Comic Reviews! The fall of the Hulks begins, Mogo dishes out his brand of justice and both Geo-Force and the Sentry lose their marbles. As always, Warning: Spoilers Ahead.
Pull Of The Week:
Dark Avengers #13
Marvel Comics – $3.99 Us
Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Artist: Mike Deodato
Score: 8.5/10
The Marvel Universe has seen better days. While the disassembling of Earth’s mightiest heroes led to the breakout of a civil war, a secret invasion became the catalyst to Norman Osborn’s dark reign, and with the siege of Asgard on the horizon, surely things couldn’t get worse (see what I did there?), could it? The Sentry’s true origin is revealed, answering once and for all that, yes, things can get worse…much worse.
Just when I thought all the pieces were on the table, Brian Michael Bendis takes the much-maligned Sentry and turns him loose.
