Ben Malloy is the CIA’s Chief of Station for The Baltics. Or at least he was until, in the film’s opening minutes, his wife Farrah, who was also in the intelligence business, is killed by an explosion. Six months later he’s unable to get over her death and his son Nick blames him for his mother’s death and won’t return his calls.
The final straw however comes when the agency calls him in for questioning, trying to frame her as a double agent and freezing him out. "You once asked me to work for you, now I'm asking you to work for me." Vertical has revealed the official trailer for another Jesse V. Johnson-directed action thriller film titled Chief of Station, which means you can pretty much ignore this right away and skip it entirely. Unless this kind of bland action is your jam. The trailer below is free to watch at least (Johnson also directed the Boudica movie last year). This one drops on VOD to watch in early May. After learning the untimely death of his wife was not accidental, a former CIA Station Chief is forced back into the espionage underworld in Eastern Europe, teaming up with an adversary to unravel a conspiracy that challenges everything he thought he knew. Aaron Eckhart stars as Ben, along with Alex Pettyfer, Olga Kurylenko, Nick Moran, Chris Petrovski, Daniel Bernhardt, Laetitia Eido, James Faulkner, Isobel Wood,...

A man is stuck in a car in the freezing Colorado mountains with no mobile signal – and violent intent brewing
If this UK-Canadian thriller has a wind-hardened snowcrust of malice, it’s somewhat less dense under the surface – though still an enjoyable punt from the digital-release ranks. Amiable but downtrodden waitress Ana (Nina Bergman) has her bacon saved by chance diner David (Allen Leech) when her abusive husband Vincent (Yan Tual) comes calling. Eerily calm in the face of having his dessert desecrated and a potential shanking, David drives off unharmed. But, redneck to the core, Vincent tailgates him; skidding into a snow drift, David is stuck in the Colorado Rockies in a -40C blizzard with, of course, no mobile reception.

Johnson and writers Katharine Lee McEwan (Solitary) and Romain Serir (The Girl with Two Faces) are out to prove it’s still true with Hell Hath No Fury, a World War II set story of a woman forced to fight against both sides in order to survive.

Danish actor Nina Bergman is the commanding, shaven-headed hero of a bleak, subversive parable on the lethal power of greed
The thirst for gold has long been a force of evil in cinema, and the latest action piece from stuntman turned director Jesse V Johnson falls under its glittering spell, interweaving vicious greed with the wreckages of war. Set during the second world war, Hell Hath No Fury revolves around a coveted sack of stolen Nazi gold, its location known only to SS general Von Bruckner (Daniel Bernhardt) and his French lover Marie (Nina Bergman).
As the war rapidly marches towards its conclusion, the once radiant Marie is punished by her compatriots for consorting with the enemy. With her hair chopped off and a swastika marked on her forehead in red lipstick, Marie cuts a Joan of Arc-like figure; it will soon be revealed that her relationship with Von Bruckner is not what it seems.

"You said you can shoot - question is, can you really...?" Well Go USA has released an official trailer for an indie action movie called Hell Hath No Fury, the latest from the former stuntman / B-movie filmmaker Jesse V. Johnson. How's this for a concept? Branded a traitor by her own countrymen, French national Marie DuJardin is rescued by American soldiers on one condition: to survive, she must lead them to a cache of gold hunted by the Nazis, the French resistance, and the Americans alike. She must take on every single one of them if she wants to make it out alive from this situation. Nina Bergman stars as the badass heroine Marie, joined by Daniel Bernhardt, Timothy V. Murphy, Louis Mandylor, Dominiquie Vandenberg, Josef Cannon, and Charles Fathy. It looks packed with plenty of gritty WWII action, but is the script any good? Hard to tell. Here's the...

Universal have released a brand new trailer for its upcoming franchise reboot Doom: Annihilation, which is based upon the iconic Doom video game series (as was the original movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and comes from Universal’s Dtv arm, Universal 1440 Entertainment, who were responsible for bringing us the many, many Scorpion King sequels, the Fantastic Death Race Dtv prequel franchise.
This time round the cast includes Amy Manson, Luke Allen-Gale, Dominic Mafham and Nina Bergman and the film is directed by one of my favourite filmmakers, Tony Giglio, who previously directed the superb slasher Timber Falls and the “as good as The Raid and Dredd” (at least Imho) actioner Extraction; and who also penned a couple of the Death Race sequels.

Universal 1440 Entertainment has released a new thrilling, intense, and action-packed teaser trailer for Doom: Annihilation. There’s not a lot of footage in the trailer, but as you’ll see it still packs in a lot of cool footage filled with monsters and mayhem.
This isn’t a big-budget Doom movie being released in theaters. This is going straight to home entertainment release, but it still looks like it’ll be a fun flick to watch! Here’s the synopsis:

Tagline: "You're Mission: Don't Die." Another Doom film is coming your way via Universal 1440 Entertainment and director Tony Giglio, titled Doom: Annihilation. Universal 1440 is the same production house behind Death Race 4: Beyond Anarchy and Giglio also wrote this film venture. Both Doom: Annihilation and Death Race 4 where shot in Bulgaria. And, the latest Doom production sounds very similar, in story, to the original 2005 film. Of course, both films are based off of the 1993 first-person action shooter game. This latest release borrows from the game's story with Space Marines investigating a distress call from a Martian moon. The 2019 version stars: Louis Mandylor (Daylight's End), Amy Manson (The Chameleon), Nina Bergman (Assassin X), Gavin Brocker and many more. The film's official teaser trailer is here. The sequel follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.

"What is going on??" "They opened up a portal to Hell!" Universal 1440 Entertainment has just debuted the first brief teaser trailer Doom: Annihilation, another new live-action Doom movie arriving some 14 years after the original attempt at adapting the classic video game. This one is heading straight-to-vod, skipping theaters entirely, but has a major producer behind it (Lorenzo di Bonaventura of the Transformers series) and doesn't look that cheap. Described as an "intense action-packed" thriller, the sci-fi action horror movie is about a group of space marines who land on a Martian moon, but "discover it's been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth." Of course. Starring Amy Manson, Dominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale, Hari Dhillon, Jemma Moore, and Nina Bergman. There isn't much footage so far, but it does look pretty cool. Some big guns, some cool sets, might not turn out too bad. I'd like to see more.

Well, that was fast! Earlier this morning we shared some first look photos from the upcoming new Doom film, Doom: Annihilation. Now Universal Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for you to watch, and it actually looks like it will be kinda fun.
This film didn’t get the epic big-budget treatment, but there are aspects of the trailer that I like, like that big-ass gun and crazy creatures. It’s also said to be an "intense action-packed" movie. This is only a 30-second teaser, but I’m looking forward to seeing more.

The “space marines” have been confirmed to be the Uac marines, who are the same team from the video game franchise.

The first trailer for “Doom: Annihilation,” the latest live-action adaptation of the popular first-person shooter, is out in the wild.
An NBC/Universal spokesperson told Variety the new “Doom” is being handled by Universal 1440 Entertainment, which produces live-action and animated non-theatrical productions directly for distribution in all media worldwide. That means the film may be direct-to-dvd, or it could possibly appear on a digital platform like Netflix. Universal 1440’s other projects currently include the latest “Tremors” movie, a “Death Race” sequel, and an adaptation of Bruce Coville’s sci-fi classic “Aliens Ate My Homework.”
Bloody Disgusting reports that the upcoming film, written and directed by Tony Giglio, stars Amy Manson (“Atlantis”), Dominic Mafham (“Ophelia”), Luke Allen-Gale (“Dominion”), and Nina Bergman (“The Car: Road to Revenge”) with Lorenzo di Bonaventura of “Transformers” producing. “Animal Kingdom’s” John Wells is also on board as executive producer.

Last year it was announced that Universal Pictures was developing a new film adaptation of Doom. The movie is called Doom: Annihilation and it is going to be a direct Home Entertainment release. We have our first look at the film thanks to some photos that have surfaced at Dread Central. They also offered a synopsis for the film!
Doom: Annihilation follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.
The report goes on to say that the “space marines” in the synopsis are also 100% confirmed to be Uac marines, who are the same team from the game franchise.
The film stars Amy Manson (Atlantis), Dominic Mafham (Ophelia), Luke Allen-Gale (Dominion), and Nina Bergman (The Car: Road to Revenge).

2005’s “Doom” is not regarded as a good movie, as its own star was happy to remind us last week. The second time may prove to be the charm, however, as actress/musician Nina Bergman tweeted that she’ll be appearing in a new adaptation of the demonic video game.
“I’m doing the next ‘Doom’ movie w Universal Pictures!” she wrote, adding that production will be in Bulgaria with a “super cool” director who has yet to be named. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Karl Urban starred in the 2005 version of the first-person shooter, which earned just $56 million against a budget of $60 million and received poor reviews. When Johnson tweeted about the film being a “stinker,” the official “Doom” account responded simply, “Dwayne.”
No word yet on who else might be involved in the next “Doom,” which hasn’t been confirmed by Universal. Renewed interest in the series may...

It looks like Hollywood might be taking another stab at a “Doom” movie. Actress and singer Nina Bergman tweeted on Tuesday she’s signed on to appear in the Universal Pictures film.
“Wow, I’m doing the next ‘Doom’ movie with Universal Pictures! I just signed all the paperwork. I get to go back to Bulgaria again and work with some of my favorite people. This movie with a super cool director And my new record coming out, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” she wrote.

Universal Pictures is planning to take another crack at the Doom video game franchise! Back in 2005 the Dwayne Johnson and Karl Urban film was released and, unfortunately, it wasn't really the best movie and it was a big flop at the box office. Obviously, they hope that things will be a little different this next time around.
The news of the film comes from actress Nina Bergman (Assassin X) who recently posted a series of interesting tweets revealing that Universal is prepping a new adaptation of Doom that she will be starring in.

Doom, the unholy, time-honored franchise that has its roots in the video game industry, is poised for a second coming at Universal, if a new Tweet from Nina Bergman is to be believed.
As reported by the folks over at Dread Central, Bergman, best known for her performances across Assassin X and the Sharknado series, posted a series of Tweets earlier this week revealing that, yes, there’s a new Doom movie simmering in development over at Universal, though it’s unclear as yet whether this is a reboot, a reimagining, or some form of spiritual successor to the 2005 flop starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Chances are Universal is gunning for a full-fledged reboot, one that’ll no doubt be buoyed by the runaway success of Bethesda’s own video game reboot, which stripped away all of the superfluous story and game mechanics that defined recent installments – not to mention...

Welcome to Issue 27 of ‘The Marvelous Da7e!’
Real quick mission statement: this column is for discussion of superhero movie news and superhero movies…Or Is It?
This week: A bad comic fan film is in the news for blatant theft. Let’s not let that tarnish fan films.
This Shia Labeouf thing is getting weird.
Mr. Labeouf, for those who don’t know, released a short film that ended up being a word-for-word visual version of Daniel Clowes’ 2007 comic, “Justin M. Damiano”, just with names and a few props changed. No where in the film is Clowes acknowledged and the artist and his editor are super-pissed at the plagiarism at hand.
This is all a little surreal, because I had seen this comic pop up on Tumblr during Cannes when Shia Labeouf’s short HowardCantour.com had premiered. Someone had blogged it with a caption like: ust saw a live action version of this.

Jesse V. Johnson, the director behind Anchor Bay‘s The Package and the recently announced Kill ‘Em All, John (both vehicles for former wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin) used $3500 and a bunch of favors to make a fan film to demonstrate his chops beyond direct-to-video action fare. He cast Danish singer Nina Bergman as Wonder Woman and got Peter Stormare and Sons Of Anarchy‘s Timothy V. Murphy to play oily Nazis. The resulting video, produced by Hugh Daly and Faz Brahimi and aided by Johnson’s Station 3 manager and producing partner Kailey Marsh, can be seen here…...

Sooner or later, if Warner honestly wants to get a Justice League movie up and running, we.re going to have to see Wonder Woman in action on the big screen. The comic book hero has had numerous small-screen incarnations, but hasn.t yet enjoyed the silver screen success of her Jla colleagues Batman and Superman (who has a movie heading to theaters in June). So if Warner were to move forward with a Wonder Woman movie, might it look something like this? This teaser trailer, shared by Latino-Review, was conceived and shot by one-time stunt coordinator Jesse V. Johnson (Planet of the Apes, Lincoln) who reportedly recruited cinematographer friend Hc Van Urfalian, a striking brunette actress named Nina Bergman, and character actor Peter Stormare (!!) to record a reel of Wonder Woman in action. The director told the site: .It was my manager/producing partner Kailey Marsh.s idea to...

If you spend any time at all in direct-to-dvd action movie land, then you probably know the name Jesse V. Johnson. He’s a Hollywood stuntman who has worked in a ton of big studio films, but he’s only ever directed direct-to-dvd action movies like 2005′s “Pit Fighter” and the upcoming “The Package” with Dolph Lundgren and Steve Austin. Like most directors, Jesse V. Johnson dreams of doing something bigger. Say, directing a Wonder Woman movie for Warner Bros., for instance. So taking a page from “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” director Kevin Tancharoen’s playbook, Johnson has assembled a crew and put together a 2-minute Wonder Woman pitch that stars Nina Bergman as the Amazonian warrior and includes appearances by everyone’s favorite twitchy actor, Peter Stormare (“The Last Stand”). Check it out below. Some thoughts: Bergman is probably not quite “big” enough for the role, and there’s something...

Warner Bros. hasn't yet found a way to make a "Wonder Woman" movie or TV series quite work, but stuntman-turned-director Jesse V. Johnson has. The longtime member of the film community decided recently he wanted to give his hand at directing and made a concept fan trailer for his idea of an epic "Wonder Woman" movie. Well, he has succeeded admirably.
As he told Latino Review, "It was my manager / producing partner Kailey Marsh’s idea to shoot the trailer. She really believes I should be a studio director, and thought shooting 'Wonder Woman' would be a great way to show off my skills in a fun way that people could get excited about." Consider us excited, and you likely will be too after you watch Johnson's video after the jump.
His "Wonder Woman" idea seems to be going the same route as Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy...
