One Instagram user had better steer clear of elevators in the near future. Solange Knowles lashed out against a disrespectful commenter who called her son, Julez, “ugly.” It all started when the New Orleans-based DJ posted a pic of her son’s Halloween costume on the social media site on Friday, with the caption, “Young cool J too cool for ghost and goblins.” The Insta featured 11-year-old Julez — Knowles’ son with ex-husband Daniel Smith — dressed in a red Adidas track suit with gold headphones around his neck, [...]...

Gogglebox is pretty epic on a normal night, but throw in some celebrities with our usual favourites and you've got one crazy Nsfw TV show.
In aid of Channel 4's Stand Up To Cancer telethon, that's exactly what we had tonight (October 9) and Twitter was quick to explode with happiness at the presence of one particular celebrity:
1. It's Mr Christian Grey himself - Jamie Dornan. And he isn't keen on Strictly:
Jamie Dornan and Nick Frost on a couch together. Have my dreams come true? lol #Gogglebox #goggleboxcelebrity#su2c

Jamie Dornan on Gogglebox? Yes please
— Louisa. (@xx_Louisa_xx) October 9, 2015
2. Dornan was paired with Nick Frost, prompting some concern for Frost's usual comedy partner Simon Pegg:
Cats are up to something, clearly, but Jamie Dornan is on to them... Celebrity #Gogglebox, 9pm.

Does Hollywood try to remake/sequelize/franchise-extend every single one of its successful movies? Sometimes it feels that way, but there’s a little more nuance to studio practices than that. If you’re looking for meaning in this summer’s blockbuster season – not always easy – you could call it Dr. JurassicMax or How Hollywood Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Reboot. Rebooting franchises isn’t as common, well-received, or lucrative as you might think. Today let’s look briefly at the history of the reboot – and how this summer changed it.
First, what technically counts as a reboot? One school would say that anytime the cast shuffles, it’s a reboot, meaning we’re now on the second reboot (and third iteration) of Spider-Man films. That’s pretty rare; far more often, duration between films is the deciding factor, and it just doesn’t feel right to slap...

The first trailer for director Guy Ritchie's adaptation of 1960s TV series "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." is finally here, and based on the slick-looking clip, it seems that the long-gestating project was worth the wait.
Henry Cavill stars as CIA agent Napolean Solo and Armie Hammer plays Kgb operative Illya Kuryakin, two wildly different men who nevertheless team up to take down a shady organization with Nazi ties that's hellbent on threatening the globe with a nuclear device. Unfortunately, like the series, the flick is set during the height of the Cold War -- and neither man can stand the other.
As Solo puts it, "Things could get a little messy" with all that tension, and as we see in the trailer, they certainly do. But despite Solo and Kuryakin's claims that they both work better alone, the pair is inevitably destined to unite for the greater good.

For the second consecutive year, Warner Bros. Pictures International has exceeded the coveted $3 billion mark at the international box office. This benchmark comes on the heels of the release of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, which surpassed $400 million at the international box office this weekend and is still going strong.
Nine Warner Bros. Pictures films have exceeded $100 million internationally, topped by Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar (with Paramount Pictures), which has taken in an astounding $467 million outside of the U.S. to date, and Godzilla (with Legendary Pictures), which has earned $327 million overseas.
Four titles – Doug Liman’s Edge Of Tomorrow (with Village Roadshow Pictures), Phil Lord & Christopher Miller’s The Lego Movie (also with Village Roadshow Pictures), and Noam Murro and Zack Snyder’s 300: Rise Of An Empire (with Legendary), along with the 2014 spillover grosses from The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug...

Chicago – The production team of “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” – designers, crew, writers, director and actors – should be proud of the level of respect they have given and embodied in delivering an updated Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Professor Moriarty and the like. They take liberties, of course, but they also make sure that the truth of the characters are always intact.

The latest film in series is the second one, and its footing is much more sure than the first. Every coin has two sides, every number an opposite. Every coin has two sides, every number an opposite. In the case of Sherlock Holmes, his other half is Professor Moriarty, the shadowy criminal mastermind who serves as the greatest threat to the world's greatest detective — quite a feat, really, considering that the character directly appeared in only two of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories.

But Moriarty is stepping out of the darkness and into the light when "Mad Men" actor Jared Harris fills out his villainous shoes, playing opposite Robert Downey Jr.'s Holmes in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," which arrives in theaters this holiday season.

Trevor Wild's short film "8 Days Later" is admittedly an homage to Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later. This shorter film was completed in 2007 and the film is about ten minutes long. Enjoy the entire film below and expect to see more from Wild, as he creates a believable zombie apocalypse, in his first feature.
Release Date: 2007.

“My counselor, she says I gotta grow up now, whatever that means.” So sings—or yelps, actually—Daniel Smith during “Grow Up,” and judging from the way he’s smoothed out most of his famously rough edges on Best Of Gloucester County, it seems he took the advice to mean it was time for him to try to go normal with his off-kilter folk-pop. Of course, nothing Smith touches will ever seem commonplace as long as his cartoonishly unhinged voice is involved. Things get playfully weird in songs like “People’s Partay” and “Lil Norge,” the latter featuring Jens Lekman ...

Danielson: Grow Up from Ben Stamper/Cines&Wonders Films on Vimeo.
After a five-year absence from the world of music, Danielson returns on February 22 with Best of Gloucester County (Sounds Familyre). The video embedded above is for the song “Grow Up,” which is the first single from the record. It was directed by Ben Stamper from labelmates Ben + Vesper.
Fun Fact for New Fans: It was Danielson himself, Daniel Smith, that first exposed the world to hipster king Sufjan Stevens. Sufjan is a regular part of the group and provides backing vocals and banjo on the new record.

Here's a great little fan made Star Wars animated film created by Daniel Smith and Jeff Scheetz. The short film is called Star Wars: The Solo Adventures, and follows Han Solo and Chewbacca and the filmmakers take the opportunity to explain why Han Solo ditched Jabba the Huts precious cargo prior to Episode IV. The short won Best Animated Film at Celebration V.
Here's a description of the project:
The 3D fan film sensation of Star Wars Celebration v was "The Solo Adventures."
It is the tale of how Han Solo "Dropped his cargo at the first sign of an Imperial Cruiser." But of course there is a lot more to the story! This film was a class project by students at the Dave School of digital Arts and Visual Effects in Orlando Fla. This version of the film is not the same as the one that appears on Atom films.
