ABC’s “20/20” presents a chilling investigation into the shocking disappearance and murder of 16-year-old Skylar Neese. Initially thought to be a runaway, Skylar’s disappearance took a sinister turn when a surveillance video surfaced, showing her entering an unknown vehicle late at night. Months of searching led to a devastating revelation: Skylar’s two best friends confessed to luring her out of her family’s apartment, stabbing her, and concealing her body in the woods.

When MTV put The Challenge on their airwaves back in 1998, the idea was to assemble a group of former Real World and Road Rules cast members and pit them against each other for a cash prize. Nobody could have predicted the show would be going strong over a quarter century later with more than 500 episodes across 39 seasons, spinoffs shooting all over the globe, and a rabid fan base that obsesses over every detail of it on social media, web forums, podcasts, and even live Challenge Mania events where fans gather together to meet cast members.

I first reviewed Green Room back in 2017 for my blog Wight Blood and gave it a score of 9/10. I don’t think I have watched it since so with this Second Sight 4k/Blu-ray release, I had the opportunity to see if it was just as good on second viewing.
The movie follows a punk band as they attempt to tour and book a last-minute gig at a neo-nazi bar with the promise of some decent money. They play the gig and attempt to leave as quickly as possible but after they witness something they shouldn’t have, things turn nasty and they get stuck in the green room with nowhere to go.

In the forthcoming episode of “Bad Romance — A Special Edition of 20/20,” audiences will explore the tragic story of Makeva Jenkins, whose life was abruptly ended in a chilling murder-for-hire scheme. Hosted by Ryan Smith, this installment promises to uncover the layers of deceit and treachery behind Jenkins’ untimely death.
On June 29, 2017, Makeva Jenkins was fatally shot in her Palm Beach County residence by an armed intruder. Initially perceived as a burglary turned violent, investigators soon unearthed a more sinister truth lurking beneath the surface.
During the trial of Euri Jenkins, Makeva’s spouse and the alleged mastermind behind the murder plot, startling revelations emerged. Testimony from Joevan Joseph, the hired gunman, depicted a disturbing narrative of greed and manipulation. In a dramatic twist, Joseph’s collaboration with prosecutors led to a 15-year imprisonment sentence, alongside an additional 10 years of probation.

It has been six years since Alexander Payne directed his last film, Downsizing, so to watch his new movie is something of an event. The Holdovers — which Focus Features will release later this fall — marks Payne’s reunion with Paul Giamatti, the star of Sideways, and once again the two spark each other in a rewarding way. This new movie is not without its flaws, but it is an engaging and often touching comic drama that builds power as it moves toward its immensely satisfying conclusion.
David Hemingson (best known for writing TV series like Kitchen Confidential) has crafted an incisive screenplay for Payne. Giamatti plays Paul Hunham, a curmudgeonly classics instructor who wins the unenviable job of staying at school over the holidays to look after the boys who are...

[Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers for “True Detective” Season 3, Episode 7, “The Final Country.”]
Daniel Sackheim joined the third season of “True Detective” pretty late — “I did not have a lot [of time],” he told IndieWire — but he knew about the case’s ties to Season 1 from the get-go.
“Nic [Pizzolatto] actually had all of these seven scripts written when I came onto the show,” Sackheim said. “It was always in the cards, so to speak.”
Episode 7, “The Final Country,” unveiled a secret connection between the Purcell case in Season 3 and the case investigated by Rust Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) and Marty Hart (Woody Harrelson) in Season 1. While Wayne (Mahershala Ali) is being interviewed by Elisa (Sarah Gadon), the docuseries reporter tells him about a theory that blames a pedophile ring for the death of William Purcell and kidnapping of Julie — the same pedophile ring associated with a serial killer felled by Cohle and Hart three years earlier.
