[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the first two seasons of “Stranger Things.”]
“Stranger Things” isn’t afraid to kill off certain expendable characters, but in Season 2, the show almost bumped off one beloved person even earlier. While fans were horrified to see nerdy good guy Bob (Sean Astin) become a snack for a pack of hungry demodogs in the penultimate episode, the Duffer Brothers had actually considered a different storyline in which he would’ve died much earlier… and at the hands of someone he knew.
On the Netflix after-show “Beyond Stranger Things,” the Duffers revealed that originally, Will Byers (Noah Schnapps) was going to become gradually evil as he was possessed, be fully evil by Episode 4, and then kill someone midway through the season.

“He was going to kill Bob,” Matt Duffer said, adding that it would’ve been the Mind Flayer working through Will. Poor Bob.

Jem Cohen‘s (Museum Hours, Counting) new documentary, World Without End (No Reported Incidents), will be released in the U.S. by Grasshopper Film early next year. From the press release:
Quite close to London, but for many, a million miles away, Southend-on-Sea is a town along the Thames estuary. Jem Cohen’s new documentary, World Without End (No Reported Incidents), is a portrait of this place – everyday streets, everyday birds, unflagging tides, mud, and sky. But it is also about humanity and history, about prize-winning Indian curries, an encyclopedic universe of hats, and a nearly lost world of proto-punk music.

Princess Leia as Alexander Hamilton. Stitch donning Jayne’s cunning hat. Belle getting her nose out of a book to join Doctor Who in his Tardis. These are all beautifully rendered imaginings of Massachusetts-based artist Karen Hallion. Her work includes art nouveau takes on Galadriel, Leia, and Labyrinth’s Sarah, a Norman Rockwell-inspired tribute to Firefly’s Kaylee, and a series featuring the Tardis greeting Disney princesses and other fairy tale characters. Karen’s art is available on prints, notecards, and often on T-shirts on sites like TeeFury and Threadless. Also among her work is a Spirited Away-inspired kimono for fangirl fashion line Her Universe. Last month Karen was at San Diego Comic-Con, where we checked out her booth in Artist Alley on the exhibit hall floor. Explore more of her sweet, fandom-combining art and see her at work on a sketch in the HitFix video below. You...

We meet again, “Daredevil” fans. If you’re joining this recap already in progress, part one is here and part two is here! With “Daredevil” eschewing the traditional format of television by releasing the entire first season at once, recapping becomes a bit tricky. Binge-watch the entire series in one go and I risk spoiling everything and being stoned in the digital streets. But binge-watch too slowly and I become that person who discovered “Breaking Bad” in the last season. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be giving my thoughts on Marvel’s “Daredevil” in all their stream-of-consciousness glory. It’s like “MST3K,” only without the robots and less funny. “Stick” Image Credit: Marvel Entertainment #1. Flee for you life, Asian businessman! #2. Businessman owns a desert eagle he can barely pick up, which means he skipped arm day. #3. Um, excuse me? That should’ve kicked like a son of a bitch.

It may be hard to believe but, we here at BollySpice, do watch other shows created outside of our beloved Bollywood and we recently came across a fabulous show on ABC. For the last 4 weeks, audiences have been treated to the madcap, medieval, magical, musical comedy adventure Galavant. The hysterically funny, fall off your chair show was a big hit! Created by Dan Fogelman, the series featured music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater. The incredible eclectic cast included Joshua Sasse as Galavant, Karen David as Princess Isabella Maria Lucia Elizabetta of Valencia, Luke Youngblood as Sid, Vinnie Jones as Gareth, Mallory Jansen as Madalena and Timothy Omundson as King Richard. The show also boasted guest spots by stars like John Stamos, Hugh Bonneville, ”Weird Al” Yankovic, Ricky Gervais, and Rutger Hauer.
To truly give you the feel and flavor of Galavant you can check out videos and watch episodes here.

Happy birthday to one of our favourite cult teen classics Mean Girls, which turns 10 today (April 30).
The Tina Fey co-written comedy spawned some of the funniest, most memorable - not to mention impossibly 'grool' - scenes and one-liners, which we're still quoting a decade on.
So to celebrate the movie's milestone, we dig out 22 of our favourite fetch moments below:
1. Damian's face full of processed meat
2. "Your mum..."
Because let's face it, 'your mum' gags are never not funny. Especially when delivered as deadpan as this.
3. "Bye Jason."
You can go shave your back now...
When fellow North Shore pupil - and object of Gretchen Wieners's indiscreet desire - Jason asks Cady is she'd like to be assigned someone to butter her muffin - i.e him, and most definitely a euphemism - Regina publicly shames him with a simple instruction before bidding him farewell.

The designers were put to the test — and it really wasn’t all fun and games! Read on for all the drama from tonight’s episode, guest-judged by Kelly Osbourne!
All of the designers headed to the famous Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn where they were told they had to break into teams of two and hand out Yoplait frozen yogurt out of a cart! This was the first team challenge, so you could imagine things got a little intense!
Project Runway Recap:
The designers were broken up into teams of two. The teams were: 1. Alexander & Justin 2. Kate & Helen 3. Jeremy & Ken 4. Sue & Sandro 5. Bradon & Karen 6. Dom & Alexandria. The seventh team was Miranda & Timothy, which is very ironic because as the names were being picked out of the hat, Miranda confessed, ‘I don’t want to work with Timothy because there’s some bad blood between us and I just don’t enjoy his attitude.

Talk about Scottish independence. As was revealed earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Scotland, where Prince William offered a kiss to a 4-year-old girl - who then turned down his offer. The girl was Shona Ritchie, 4, and as her mother, Karen Ritchie, 30, recounted the very special day to People, it began with an early start for the tot. "Shona woke up early at 6 a.m., because she saw in the newspaper that Kate and William were going to be in Glasgow," said Karen, a customer-service worker for the utility company Scottish Power. "I had promised her...

A funny thing happened toward the end of Smash Season 1: Everything changed. Well, not everything. But Theresa Rebeck, the Broadway baby who’d birthed the NBC drama, was not invited back for an encore. Ultimately, Josh Safran — no stranger to spinning New York City-based tales, as a Gossip Girl showrunner – was handed the reins for Season 2, which with its two-hour premiere (airing tonight at 9/8c) promptly updates us on Bombshell team members Karen, Ivy (?), Derek, Tom, Julia and Eileen, while also weaving in fresh faces such as Jeremy Jordan (Newsies) and Andy Mientus (Carrie: The Musical), as the aspiring...

Yes, it's that time again on Sunday night, which can only mean one thing… Welcome to another Dancing on Ice live blog!
This week, there's no kooky 'theme' to the show. It's all about 'The Leveller' - a task which means that the stars will have to skate solo for 30 seconds.
And with Keith Chegwin's rib injury putting his performance in doubt and Gareth Thomas's foot causing him jip, there's worry aplenty in the Doi camp tonight. Quite literally anything could happen. Jason Gardiner might even liken someone's skating to having locked-in syndrome. Again.
So stick with Digital Spy as we see which couples pull it out of the bag, who face-palms the floor and what awful outfits are paraded about. It's going to be great…
20:57Anyway, thanks for joining Digital Spy this evening. Hope you - like I - are just pleased that some goodies (Beth,...

You thought it was the winter weather bringing a big chill to New York City? Nah, it’s more likely the look Smash‘s Karen shoots Ivy in this video sneak peek at the opening montage for Season 2 (premiering Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9/8c).

After last week's Worst Sleepover Ever, Shameless picked up the pace a bit this week with an episode filled with surprise reveals, misunderstandings, and of course the requisite levels of booze, vomit and sex. All in a day's work!
We start things off on a yacht, momentarily confusing my Sunday night Showtime-watching self into thinking that this is actually Dexter. My confusion is doubled when the group of seafaring revelers snag the catch of the week: a corpse! Ah, but this isn't the work of the Lake Michigan Butcher - it's the thawed-out remains of Eddie Jackson.
Ethan Cutosky and Emma Kenney
Back at Gallagher House, Carl (Ethan Cutosky) has rented Frank's room to a hooker known as Double-Bag Bev - a name she didn't get from working at the grocery store. We also get a flash nightmare of Carl as a drug mule about to swallow a condom full of some kind of narcotic.

Star Wars fans all want to know the answer to one question: When can we expect to see Lucasfilm’s long-in-development live-action TV series? Well, sadly, the series, to paraphrase the iconic opening epigraph of the Star Wars movies, is “far, far away.”
Still, fans were given some hope Monday when IGN posted a video with Lucasfilm executive producer Rick McCallum at a press junket for the movie Red Tails (opening Jan. 20). In the clip, McCallum indicated that the series was, for now, being called Star Wars: Underworld — one of the bigger pieces of news pertaining to the hush-hush...

We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this February. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.9 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant stack of returned copies of Holy Terror since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The new look of Darkseid, and we’re far enough into the new 52 books that it’s time for Batman to start crossing over in all of them. Plus Mara Jade, the red-haired assassin who fell in love with her blond-haired man she was sent to kill– oh, I’m sorry, that’s from Star Wars. This is Mera in a jade outfit. Our mistake.
Shall we? Surely!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

…Or How The Fuck Did That Happen, Part Two
Where was I last week?
I was in the midst of a great crusade against the most terrifying villain ever unleashed upon the universe. A tyrant created by an evil greater than Mephisto – or Emperor Palpatine or Darkseid, choose your poison – whose sole purpose is to destroy humanity. A crafty, insidious, and totally nasty piece of work, capable of twisting even the greatest brains ever known – Einstein, Newton, Hawkings, Reed Richards – into Roquefort cheese, of destroying Rem sleep, of chaining even the raging Incredible Hulk to a chair for weeks.
Oh, yes, it was a battle for the ages. He tried driving me mad with visions of z-scores and ANOVAs and Pearson Correlations and Chi-Square Tests for Goodness. Of blinding me with rs = 1 – 6∑D2/n(n2-1) and Ssa = ∑T2ROW/nROW – G2/N and t = (M1 – M2) – (µ1 – µ2)/s...

The best films are the ones that make you wish you were in them; the best characters make you wish you knew them. In this list we’re going to count down the gangs that we all wanted to be in - regardless of criminal affiliations, murderous tendencies and hairy feet. You know the groups I mean: those bands of characters who had the strongest friendships, the most epic experiences, delivered the most outrageous one-liners and triumphed in the face of adversity. Cool is an unquantifiable state, but each of the following ten groups of people have it in spades. There was just too much cool to include here, but these are my personal favourites.
10. The Breakfast Club – The Breakfast Club (1985)
Which one were you? Judd Nelson, deliberately antagonising the teacher and everyone else? Ally Sheedy, sprinkling her pencilled countryside scene with dandruff snow? The characters from The Breakfast Club are timeless,...

Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) talks of Paul (Mark Moses) realizing his wife was a liar, she "lied with every smile, with every caress and with every kiss...his entire marriage was a fraud. The only thing he didn't know, is how he would punish her." Beth (Emily Bergl) tells Paul how strange the street is and how the others tried to frame her. Paul is astounded that the gun just appeared out of nowhere. But he knows the truth. At least he thinks he does. Now that he suspects Beth, the truth won't be as clear cut as that, as she'll turn out to have been too obvious a suspect. Mary Alice: "Paul had no choice but to punish his wife because some lies are unforgivable." Seems that's all Paul ever had on the brain, getting back at people. So he hasn't changed. Mary Alice: "We are reminded...

With the recent release of his video game tie-in novel Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Blogomatic300 asked author Sean Williams a few questions about writing in the Star Wars universe…
At what point of the video games development do you start on the novel?
That’s a hard question to answer, since I’m not actually sure where in the process the script fits. I can say that I won’t start writing until the script is finalized, and by that point there’s usually a stack of concept art for me to look at. I didn’t get to see any rough builds of the first Tfu until well after the book was written, and I only got to see that because one of the developers was in my home town. I count myself lucky to have caught that glimpse. Where a team of people working on software,...

While Wednesday's official announcement that Prince Albert II of Monaco will marry South African former swimmer Charlene Wittstock provided no wedding date, the groom-to-be wasted no time in spilling the beans. "The marriage will take place next summer," the longtime bachelor, 52, told Nice-Matin for its Thursday morning editions. Come the nuptials next year, the two will tie the knot in two ceremonies: an intimate civil service inside the Prince's 235-room palace, and a larger, religious one, in Monaco's Notre Dame of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and which will be televised, sources tell People. Albert, the only son of the late...

The managers of the Princess of Wales, Karen and Lawrence Santi, were initially upset to discover there had been an intruder overnight before discovering the uninvited guest was none other than the famous mystery artist, who produces most of his works undetected and closely guards his identity.
Miss Santi revealed her husband was about to begin painting over the outdoor mural of a lion and little girl, above which the message ‘run for your lives!!!’ is written in red paint, when they learned the identity of the artist.

So Just Where Do You Draw The Line?
Here is an interesting question for you: as gay people where do we draw the line when it comes to spending our hard earned dollars on movies, books, plays and or music that in some way might benefit a person or business who doesn't have our best interests at heart?
Eminem, Mel Gibson
This is a question most of us face at some point whether it's deciding if you want to download that new Eminem song that is so great despite his past comments about gay people. Or whether you should shell out ten bucks to see that new Mel Gibson flick your brother wants to see even though Gibson supports the far right wing of the Catholic Church, not to mention the awful and historically inaccurate portrayal of Edward II he gave us in Braveheart, as well as the ugly murder...

Kieron Richardson
Arghhhh, my eyes my eyes! What the feck is Kieron Richardson wearing? Dayglo Seventies awfulness. His wee partner looks small enough to fit in your pocket, doesn’t she? They’re doing a disco-flavoured routine to Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry. A shaky routine to say the least, ended particularly badly when he almost dropped Brianne on her head!
Points: 15. Robin: Every week is different. You were on the button with the music. Tough when you’re working with a partner who has the presence Brianne has. Not as good as last week. Jason: A lot of your movement, there’s no end to them.

Below you will find exactly what my votes were for the 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on VH1 this Friday night. I’m a member of the Bfca, and therefore an actual, honest to god, voting member for the awards. I have 1/235th of a voice in exactly what wins. This is simply over-analyzing (a rant) the numbers of how I exactly voted. Again, this is how I voted, not the final results of the show, which won’t be known until Friday.

This Friday, the stars will gather to celebrate the best of last year at the 15th Annual Critics' Choice Awards. The MTV blog properties will be covering it, starting with a red carpet live blog from 8:30pm to 9pm Est over on Hollywood Crush. I'll be following that immediately afterwards with live blog coverage of the show here on MTV Movies Blog. We'll even have a fancy embedded player, streaming a feed directly from the show's backstage festivities onto your computer screen. It's going to be magical.
Then, on Sunday, we'll be back with more awards show coverage when the Golden Globe Awards airs. Look for a lengthier red carpet live blog, between 7pm and 9pm Est, on Hollywood Crush. Then, just like Friday, you'll want to head over to MTV Movies Blog for ongoing live blog coverage of the show as it happens. For a list of Golden Globes nominees,...

The Oscars are a secret. You never see the ballot of Meryl Streep, George Clooney or James Cameron come awards time. I’m not a fan of that. I know they don’t want to admit they have favorites, but I do. I vote for the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards as a member of the Bfca (Broadcast Film Critics Association). My ballot is below, and I think all critics should show what they consider the best, whether they vote in the Ofcs (Online Film Critics Society) or Cfca (Chicago Film Critics Society). The 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards airs on VH1 on Friday night.

Although she appeared in mainstream stuff like Alias and The Young And The Restless, Washington-born actress Michele Morrow is clearly meant to be a Scream Queen!
With her good natured girl-next-door vibe, you find yourself rooting for her in the just-released Basement Jack (Written by Fango contributor Brian Patrick O'Toole) and hoping she doesn't become the maniac's last victim.
Michele Morrow has also been seen tangling with vampires in Bled and screaming, running and fighting in other horror films like Slaughterhouse Of The Rising Sun, Purgatory House and the upcoming Ashley's Ashes.
One can't help but notice while at Fangoria's Trinity Of Terrors in Las Vegas, the actress attracts appreciative stares from passerby. This may be because with her big blue eyes, elfin nose and long blonde hair, she looks like a Disney Cartoon princess come to life, but it's probably because she's dressed as a cat--in leopard print, with big cat ears and tail!

I am shocked to report that my new membership did not singlehandedly or significantly increase their taste levels, he said sarcastically. A few of the following nominations are hard to justify qualitatively speaking but you can't always get what you want. Again Oscar punditry combined with 'I just unwrapped this gift' excitement seem to have replaced careful consideration of what the year had to offer. But then it does appear as if only about 15 movies truly existed this year. In fact six movies Inglourious Basterds, Nine, Avatar, Up in the Air, The Hurt Locker, Precious and The Lovely Bones account for 48% of all the nominations. Crazy.
Am I just grumpy because they think The Lovely Bones (6 nominations) is better looking and The Blind Side (2 nominations) better acted than the exquisite Bright Star (1 nomination only)? I find those two judgment calls totally unsupportable. The abundant nominations for the garish and messy...

The Hurt Locker, Up in the Air, Inglorious Basterds, Avatar …
It’s my first year voting. There is a 0.01% chance that I will listen to your opinion over mine. But, I’m saying there is a chance. So, what would you vote for? The Critics’ Choice Awards air on Vh-1 on January 15. I will post my voting ballot then. If you had a vote, where would it go?
Avatar might get my visual votes, but nothing else. My personal sadness is the exclusion of Away We Go.

The World War II tale "Inglourious Basterds" and the Rome-set musical "Nine," both releases from the Weinstein Co., led the list of nominees for the Broadcast Film Critics Assn.'s 15th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards, announced early Monday, with ten nominations each.
The 3-D sci-fi film "Avatar" followed close behind with nine noms, while "The Hurt Locker" and "Up in the Air" received eight nominations each.
The awards, which will be handed out on Jan. 15 at ceremonies broadcast from the Hollywood Palladium by Vh-1, expanded this year from 17 to 25 categories, adding seven technical categories and separating its screenplay category into original and adapted slots.
Since the critics group also includes genre categories like best action movie and best comedy as well as awards for best acting ensemble and best young actor/actress, that opened the door for plenty of multiple nominations.
