This week’s Quantum Leap offered a more historically accurate depiction of the Wild West as Ben found himself in the body of a Mexican American gunslinger named Diego de la Cruz in 1879.
Diego, who became a pacifist, was tasked with saving the small town of Salvation from a group of outlaws — led by the menacing McDonough — who was set on claiming the nearby railroad. The diverse townsfolk, which included Black bar owner Frankie (Yaani King Mondschein) and Diego’s granddaughter Valentina (Nicole Alvarez), refused to give up the home that offered them opportunities they wouldn’t find anywhere else.

Judge Lola Carmichael's court will be back in session in the spring.
Simone Missick took to Instagram to reveal that the former CBS series would officially return to the air on OWN in the near future.
The news is welcome, especially for fans who have been waiting for more episodes since May 2021.
Missick suggested the theme of the new episodes will be "new beginnings," and given the network change, we couldn't agree more.
The leading lady also revealed during an Instagram Live with Yaani King Mondschein that something huge is about to go down for the characters.
“Something dramatic happens at the courthouse and somebody might not make it," the star teases.
Make of that what you will.

When “The Kings of Napa” creator Janine Sherman Barrois first dreamed up the idea for her latest scripted series, and OWN’s juicy new family drama, she was in the midst of a visit to a winery.
But that fateful visit to Rideau Vineyard in Santa Ynez, Calif. nearly a decade ago wasn’t just any trip to wine country. It was the first time Barrois, the award-winning writer and producer behind “Claws” and “Self-Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker,” had seen a Black-owned vineyard. And she was inspired.
“I started researching them, and I thought, ‘This is what I need to write about,’” she shared, recounting the chain of events during the show’s virtual premiere party. “I need to write about all of these winemakers and wineries around the world that are being led by people of color.”

If OWN’s The Kings of Napa were a wine, it would be a full-bodied blend of Falcon Crest and Empire, the primetime-soap equivalent of a red whose acidity sneaks up on you — gradually. Before we taste its afternotes of intrigue, though, Tuesday’s premiere introduces us in short order to the King family: doctor Reginald (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) and former-tv-reporter wife Vanessa (Karen LeBlanc), and their squabbling offspring, firstborn Dana (Rance Nix), the mercenary CFO of their winery, middle child August (Ebonee Noel), its head of marketing, and baby boy Christian (Ashlee Brian), who’s more interested in making bourbon than vino.

Ahead of the party, audiences will get to catch up with the cast as they settle back into their daily lives in Atlanta, Ga. When the show ended, some singles left with a sour taste in their mouth about the experiment’s outcomes, so there is no doubt there will be drama and surprise appearances.

As with any obsessive fan of niche interests, the sneaker fanatics of “Sneakerheads” spend much of their time defending their diehard love. Their hunt for the perfect sneaker, the rarest edition, the sentimental favorites that got away isn’t about the shoe itself, really. It’s about the thrill of the chase, and anyone or anything that gets in their way is just another obstacle to their ultimate satisfaction of reaching the finish line. But as “Sneakerheads” proves, both accidentally and on purpose, the thing about treasure hunts is that finding the treasure rarely means the end of the hunt. There will always be that temptation, that sense that there must be something else out there that’s bigger and even better, dangling just out of reach. Over six breezy episodes, Jay Longino’s new Netflix series plays out this dynamic over, and over, and over again. Recovering sneakerhead Devin...
