Director/writer: David Marmor. Cast: Naomi Grossman, Giles Matthey, Taylor Nichols, Nicole Brydon Bloom and Andrea Gabriel. 1Br had its World Premiere in Montreal this July. A Malevolent Films production, the film took its script from the director's personal experience living in Los Angeles. The film deals with cults and may even take its influences from Scientology. Focusing on the character Sarah (Nicole Brydon Bloom), 1Br offers a few twists and turns as the film switches genres early in Act I. 1Br is definitely one to head out to. The film focuses centrally on Sarah. She has just moved to Los Angeles, leaving behind a troubling family conflict. In Los Angeles, she sets herself up in a residence, where everyone is a bit too happy. After settling in, the torture begins as Sarah is initiated into a modern cult; she is unable to escape on her own. Accepting her situation,...

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Breaking Dawn Part 2 to become Brazil’s top-selling movie in 2012? Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn Part 2 is a major blockbuster worldwide, having grossed more than $600m in less than two weeks. Now, relatively speaking, among the world’s top film markets no country has embraced the Twilight movie franchise’s final installment as ardently as Brazil. (Photo: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.) Breaking Dawn Part 2 has already shattered Brazilian single-day and opening-weekend box-office records — in ticket sales. In other words, inflation and 3D/IMAX surcharges don’t play a role here. In Us dollars, Brazil — with $33.61m — is currently Breaking Dawn Part 2‘s third biggest international market, trailing only the United Kingdom ($43.25m) and Russia / Cis ($36.27m). By the end of its opening weekend, Breaking Dawn Part 2 was already the seventh highest-grossing 2012 release at the Brazilian box office.

This week, we'll be giving a big farewell to "The Twilight Saga" with the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on Friday.
Judging by the clips and trailers we've seen so far, we can expect to see some serious vampire Bella (Kristen Stewart) action and get to catch up with the one and only Cullen coven. But, with a ton of other bloodlovers coming into the fold for the final film, Twi-hards should probably also brace for some new faces.
To help remind you who's who among the new coven vampires in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we put together this handy dandy little refresher guide.
Denali Coven
Sure, the Denalis were introduced as wedding guests in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but these Alaskan vegetarian vamps have a much bigger stand in "Part 2." They're super-tight with the Cullens — even considering themselves faux cousins...

This includes Serena who will try to prove herself in adult society by hosting a philanthropic event.

Leighton Meester and Blake Lively are in rare, well, maybe not for them, form here in this Gossip Girl 6 teaser we have for you, an episode image gallery for “Dirty Rotten Scandals”, the third episode in the upcoming 6th and final season of the CW Upper East Side drama. For real though, Blair and Serena look runway status, which fits given that’s exactly where Eleanor Waldorf Designs is going in this episode.
The “Dirty Rotten Scandals” (6.03) episode summary goes like this:
Feeling the pressure to make her first Waldorf Designs fashion show a success, Blair (Leighton Meester) must rely on help from an unlikely source, but some unexpected scheming causes a scandal on the runway. Serena (Blake Lively) discovers that befriending Steven’s (guest star Barry Watson) daughter Sage (guest star Sofia Black-d’Elia) is trickier than she thought, especially when she is forced to put her issues with...

Serena is missing in the season premiere of Gossip Girl, at least until her friends come together after their summer apart to track her down. They find her living a new life under an assumed name, determined to leave her old Upper East Side life behind her. Once they do find her, Serena is looking for a fresh start in her life.
In episode 6.02: "Trying to prove herself in adult society, Serena (Blake Lively) hosts the Central Park Conservancy’s big gala, of which she is now the newest Board Member, and she and Nate (Chace Crawford) both learn something shocking about their significant others. Blair prepares (Leighton Meester) to debut her new fashion line, but a rival from her past holds the key to her future. With the help of Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg), Dan (Penn Badgley) lands some meetings with publishers, but he must decide if...

We've already seen the promotional photos - and posted some Gossip Girl season 6 spoilers - but now the CW has released the episode synopsis for the second installment of the season, "High Infidelity."
It reads:
Trying to prove herself in adult society, Serena hosts the Central Park Conservancy’s big gala, of which she is now the newest Board Member, and she and Nate both learn something shocking about their significant others. Blair prepares to debut her new fashion line, but a rival from her past holds the key to her future. With the help of Georgina, Dan lands some meetings with publishers, but he must decide if he is willing to sacrifice his integrity in order to get his work published. Meanwhile, Chuck tries to persuade Amira (guest star Andrea Gabriel) to help him look into his father’s past, even if it means jeopardizing Lily and Bart’s relationship.

At the end of the last season of Gossip Girl all was not well for Serena (Blake Lively) and with the season 6 premiere just around the corner, we do have some details that are likely to reassure fans of one of Gossip Girls favorite subjects (and also a one time Gossip Girl herself). This final season is set to show the characters growing up, but I'm sure we will see hijinks and scheming before the year is out.
The CW has released a synopsis for the second episode of season 6, that airs Monday, October 15 and is called "High Infidelity": Fresh Starts — Trying to prove herself in adult society, Serena (Blake Lively) hosts the Central Park Conservancy’s big gala, of which she is now the newest Board Member, and she and Nate (Chace Crawford) both learn something shocking about their significant others. The CW's official synopsis for the Gossip Girl Season 6 premiere has been released, and it confirms what we've pretty much pieced together at this point: Chuck and Blair are back together ... yet not.
Dan is apparently about to drop bombs in his new book, while Nate prepares to take on Gossip Girl, and Serena is Mia, leading the Upper East Siders to track her down (see season premiere photos).
Here's what the press release for "Gone Maybe Gone" teases:
After a brief encounter abroad, Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) make a promise to each other about their relationship, which leaves them once again apart. Dan (Penn Badgley), with some help from an unlikely ally, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg), is writing a scathing tell-all book that can only mean trouble. As the sole head of The Spectator, Nate (Chace Crawford) is making his own decisions and is ready...

The final season of Gossip Girl is almost upon us and, for all of its silly storylines over the years, I can't help but feel nostalgic.
The CW has released an official synopsis for the final season premiere, titled "Gone Maybe Gone" (view photos for the premiere): "The Summer Is Over And Serena Has Gone Missing / Barry Watson (“7th Heaven”) And Andrea Gabriel (“Lost”) Guest Star — After a brief encounter abroad, Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) make a promise to each other about their relationship, which leaves them once again apart. Dan (Penn Badgley), with some help from an unlikely ally, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg), is writing a scathing tell-all book that can only mean trouble. On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Whether as a result of poor critical/box-office reception, (perceived) local sensibilities, and/or censorship, the movie you watch in, say, Canada isn't necessarily the exact same movie watched by someone in Singapore,...

Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, and the rest of the Gossip Girl are creeping toward their sixth and final season on the upper east side, and this trailer shows us some glimpses of new footage mixed in with a ton of scenes from previous seasons, the former of which focuses on Meester’s Blair Waldorf and and Ed Westwick’s Chuck Bass and teases a possible happy ending for them which I’m sure will split the Gossip Girl base and cause terms like “Chair” and “Dair” to be loyally thrown around with extreme passion.
If nothing else, at least this is familiar ground for Blair and Chuck fans, as recent news regarding Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen has her possibly interested in a new face, that of Barry Watson. Watson is joined in Gossip Girl’s final season guest stars that include Lost’s Andrea Gabriel. As an aside,...

Tamara Feldman will return to Gossip Girl for the show's final season. The 31-year-old actress last appeared on the CW drama as con artist Poppy Lifton in 2009. She will reprise her role in a forthcoming episode, with a source telling Entertainment Weekly that Poppy "shows up in a surprising context to tangle with a new target". Feldman appeared in five episodes of Gossip Girl's second season between 2008 and 2009, with her character attempting to con Serena (Blake Lively) and her family out of their money. The series finale of Lost aired on May 22, 2011, but for many Losties (like me), there is no “over,” there is only Lost. Two of the bright lights of Lost fandom have decided to do a wonderful thing with the obsession they share with so many; they have put together a non-profit charity webcast, auction and party entitled Cancer Gets Lost, to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society.
Jo Garfein and Jared Wong have devoted much of their lives over the last two years to this three tiered plan, and have enlisted the help of some notable Losties. Videos of support have been contributed by Damon Lindelof and Jorge Garcia, and each of them along with several other members of the cast and production have autographed Lost memorabilia.
