The end is almost here. The Walking Dead, the show that wanted to live forever, is now coming to a close…sort of. Though the series based on Robert Kirkman’s long-running zombie comic of the same name is airing its series finale on Nov. 20, the franchise itself will carry on in the form of numerous spinoffs.
Still, spinoffs or no, this is a fairly big moment in genre TV history. First premiering on Halloween night 2010, The Walking Dead was an instant ratings success for AMC and remained as such for much of its 11 seasons. It helped usher in a new era of fandom-friendly television for its network (which was coming off big prestige hits like Mad Men and Breaking Bad) and helped bring zombies back into the mainstream. With the 24th episode of its 11th season, The Walking Dead will finally be calling it quits.

From the opening minutes of this past Sunday night’s penultimate episode you immediately know it’s going to be an impactful one. Judith Grimes once again narrates the intro sequence, this time over a montage of our survivors picking up their trusty weapons from a large chest in Alexandria. The period of peace in the Commonwealth is over, and once again the crew needs to arm up and fight…hopefully for one final time. Judith picks up one of Michonne’s swords and Rick’s infamous python. She places Carl’s sheriff hat on R.J. Grimes.
The swan song of “The Walking Dead” has begun.
Surprisingly, the Outpost 22 variation of Alexandria is not the grand finale setting for the series. It seems as if the over-taking of the soldiers during last episode’s lineup resulted in the saving of Alexandria from Commonwealth command. Such a drastic win for...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 22, “Faith.”] Hey, Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) made it through this one, too! Earlier in Season 11 when “Acts of God” aired, plenty of fans figured it might be curtains for “Father Not the Father.” Then, this close to the end of the AMC series, with an episode titled “Faith,” speculation bubbled up again — and again, Gabe beat the odds. But just because he’s not in too much danger in this episode doesn’t mean there’s safety for all the survivors; in fact, this installment involves a decent amount of peril for the main group, especially Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Jace Downs/AMC While the whole “faith” aspect of the episode centers around Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his ability to inspire others to do the right thing, Negan eventually winds up staring down the (metaphorical) barbed-wire baseball bat. Still a member of the work camp even in Alexandria,...

If you’ve been waiting, endlessly waiting, for The Walking Dead to start feeling in its final season like it was really building to something, your patience was at last rewarded in Sunday’s “Faith.” Or at least it started to seem like it was going to be rewarded.
As Eugene’s mockery of a trial for Sebastian’s “murder” neared its inevitable conclusion, with Pamela going so far as to claim that the recording of her beloved son had been doctored (as if), Yumiko threw a Hail Mary pass by appealing to Mercer to take the stand and out...

This The Walking Dead review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 22
One of the better things about the final season of The Walking Dead is that once again it feels like a show where all bets are off. Aside from the few people who have spin-off shows in the works, we’re back to what Joe Bob Briggs always called the number one rule of a good drive-in movie: anybody can die at any moment. Granted, that hasn’t actually happened on screen yet, but throughout “Faith” the viewer is never allowed a chance to rest easy, particularly where the prisoner portion of the show is concerned.
It wouldn’t be like this iteration of The Walking Dead to pull the trigger, but the old version of The Walking Dead never got to use this many obscenities in its dialog. Maybe the only rule is there are no rules,...

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. The build to Crown Jewel – which takes place this weekend – continues on this show, so let’s see what went down this week!
Match #1: Bianca Belair def. Nikki Cross The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After Nikki Cross caused Bianca Belair to lose to Bayley last week, The Est got a piece of the new and vicious Cross, who was more vindictive and unpredictable than ever. Bayley tried to get involved and send Belair to a second straight loss, shoving Belair into the post. The attempt backfired, however, as Cross pushed Bayley to the floor, taking out Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky as well. Cross’ banishment of Damage Ctrl led to Belair planting Cross with the K.O.D. for the win. Following the match, Damage Ctrl put the boots to Belair,...

As we approach the finish line, the Walking Dead is embracing the confines of the Commonwealth, including its very slanted politics.
The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 20 found Yumiko trying to find a solution to do what's right to save every single person she entered the Commonwealth with, which was tough.
Giving Yumiko this position of power has allowed the human rights lawyer in her to come out to play, and as a big fan of the character, it's been great.
Yumiko has been told in the past that she has a say in things that happen in the Commonwealth, so it's only natural she would want to mold the place into somewhere she would like to live in for the rest of her life.
Pamela kidnapping her people and making thinly-veiled threats would never resonate with Yumiko, and I love that she wasn't scared to follow the man who had been tracking Connie.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 20, “What’s Been Lost.”] Really…Hornsby? Really?! With four episodes left to go in the monster-big series, The Walking Dead killed off one of its main villains — although the way it happened seemed a bit silly. It also paired up Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) for a new mission — although they didn’t spend a great deal of time together. And Pamela (Laila Robins) gave Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) a new case — one she really, really didn’t want to take. Here’s how it all went down. As the episode opens, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) goes to visit Carol at the bakery. When he abruptly disappears, she’s suspicious — and her suspicions are confirmed as she narrowly escapes capture herself, and then finds Daryl in danger. The duo survives the mysterious attack, but they discover their friends have all been removed from the Commonwealth.

Sleazy come, sleazy go. Not long after Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead revealed that Lance hadn’t actually been killed by a zombified Sebastian last week, but had just fed Calhoun’s remains to the reanimated corpse of Pamela’s son, than it put an end to the conniver’s miserable life for real. And if you keep reading, we’ll go over not only that fatal twist but all of the action in “What’s Been Lost.”
