With the Actors Strike of 2023 resulting in many Hollywood films and shows being indefinitely postponed and moved forward, Marvel’s Kraven The Hunter starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson has seen multiple shifts in release dates as well. The film is finally set to hit the screens in December 2024 as per reports coming in.

While one of the reasons behind this change of date involves taking full advantage of the holiday season to boost box office numbers, actor Stephen Sean Ford had an intriguing theory that is linked to speculations about Johnson’s possible James Bond gig and the effect it could have on the Marvel project. This seems to be resonating with fans across social media.

It’s been 10 years since X-Men: Days of Future Past hit theatres, ushering in an endgame to a universe that would not be replicated until Avengers: Infinity War, four years later. It closed the book in the older generation of X-Men that had carried the franchise until their younger variants had been introduced in X-Men: First Class.

Agatha remains one of Marvel Studios' most intriguing upcoming projects, particularly with it serving as a follow-up to 2021's critically acclaimed WandaVision.
Nexus Point News has today shared new intel on the show's characters, starting with Joe Locke's Billy. They believe the plan is to reveal his true identity as the teenage son of Wanda Maximoff later in the series, making it a huge moment for non-comic book readers.
Aubrey Plaza is Rio Vidal, one of Agatha's antagonists, while Patti LuPone is Lilia Calderu, Sasheer Zamata is Jennifer Kale, and Ali Ahn is Alice Wu.
Miles Guiterrez-Riley, meanwhile, is said to be playing Eddie, Billy's boyfriend. Likely to disappoint fans is the fact it doesn't sound like he has any connection to Teddy Altman, a.k.a. Hulking. Perhaps we'll meet him down the line; then again, it could be that Bruce Banner's son first introduced in She-Hulk...

"X-Men '97" has been a dream come true, delivering an even more mature, bold version of the original '90s animated series. Like its predecessor, it directly adapts comic book story arcs, with this show in particular choosing some rather bleak ones.
The season lured us in with the promise of fun nostalgia before shattering that notion with one of the darkest moments in the entire Marvel Studios history with the genocide of mutants in Genosha. This changed everything for the show and for the characters, challenging the very notion of the X-Men, what they stand for, and the legacy of Charles Xavier's work.
But it hasn't all been world-ending threats, the show still has the kind of interpersonal soapy drama fans have always loved from the original. We've got Rogue and (the late) Gambit, Cyclops and the two Jean Greys, with each character in the ensemble getting a chance to shine.

This X-Men ’97 article contains spoilers.
“Tastes like chicken.” If that phrase brings to mind the evil mutant the Blob chowing down on the Wasp’s corpse, then the ending of X-Men ’97‘s eighth episode, “Tolerance Is Extinction Part One,” should send shivers down your spine.
After all, Magneto’s decision to attack the entire planet Earth in X-Men ’97 has a lot in common with the inciting event of Ultimatum, the 2009 Marvel event that somehow made the already grim and edgy Ultimate Marvel Universe even grimmer and edgier, to very mixed results.
The connections between Ultimatum and “Tolerance Is Extinction Part One” only stand out more when one considers all of the many cameos in the episode, which showed that anti-mutant bigotry isn’t just limited to the X-Men, but it affects the entire Marvel Universe.
Here’s a breakdown of all the cameos in the star-studded episode...

Danny Boyle's lo-fi 2002 zombie apocalypse film "28 Days Later" caused a stir in the horror community for its grainy digital photography (shot by Anthony Dod Mantle) and for its introduction of "fast zombies" into the pop vernacular. The zombies in "28 Days Later" were, unlike most movie zombies seen up to that point, fast-moving and vicious rather than mindless and shambling. It is credited for breathing new life into the zombie genre, followed as it was by other zombie hits like the "Dawn of the Dead" remake, George Romero's "Land of the Dead," and the hit 2010 series "The Walking Dead." "28 Days Later" also tapped into a lot of America's post-9/11 ennui, presenting hard-edged images of urban desolation. Everyone felt like the world had ended, and Boyle aesthetically agreed.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has come a long way in his career, from being the nerdy superhero in 2010’s Kick Ass to starring as Quicksilver in the MCU. The actor has also shown his range in many impressive films such as The Wall and Nocturnal Animals. The actor has slowly become one of the finest actors of his generation.

It takes The Matrix about three minutes to become the coolest thing you’ve ever seen. That’s when Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) evades a cop by breaking his arm, punching his throat, and then freezing mid-air so the camera can whip around her before she unleashes a kick that sends him across the room. Three minutes. And everything changed.
But the most impressive part may be the fact that the amazing stuff doesn’t stop there. For the 117 minutes that follow, The Matrix directors Lana and Lilly Wachowski offer an improbable mix of kung fu action, Continental philosophy, and fin de siècle cool. It’s no wonder their movie became a hit in theaters and on video. Nor is it any wonder that so, so many movies and TV shows borrowed from The Matrix, at once cementing the original film’s legacy while also cheapening its effect. In immediate years...

Marvel Studios celebrated the fourth of April with a post that seemed to double as a stealth "Fantastic Four" tease this week. On Thursday, the X account representing all things Marvel Cinematic Universe shared an illustration alongside four fire emojis. The artwork by Marvel Studios' Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding features The Human Torch, aka Johnny Storm, soaring through the sky above a white retro-futuristic metropolis skyline.
Storm looks at the viewers with an ultra-bright smile, and the trail of flames behind him makes the shape of the team's 4 logo. "Happy 4-4 Day!" a font emblazoned above him says. More interesting than the striking poster, though, is the link included in the tweet. Follow it, and you'll end up on a new page of the Marvel website titled "Future Foundation," which features a reading list of 4 classic "Fantastic Four" comics and one more recent title. The caption on the page reads "Delegates,...

This article contains spoilers for X-Men ’97 episode 4.
Rising from the ashes of X-Men: The Animated Series like a Dark Phoenix, X-Men ‘97 has done a stellar job of bringing fan-favorites like Scott, Jean, and Wolverine back into the fray. While Marvel Studios’ producer Brad Winderbaum has revealed that production is already underway for seasons 2 and 3, some sneaky hints suggest that the lineup of this colorful cartoon caper could soon look a little different.
The Original X-Men
X-Men ‘97 has largely stuck with the series staples of X-Men: The Animated Series, albeit with the additions of Morph and Bishop while swapping out Professor Xavier for a reformed Magneto. Several Easter eggs have referenced both old and new teams, with the season premiere reminding us the current roster is far from the original lineup of Charles Xavier’s Gifted Youngsters.
A nostalgic picture of the “original” team is on display at the school.

Those fun appearances weren't limited to the X-Men characters either. Notable heroes such as Captain America, War Machine, Nick Fury, Ms. Marvel, Spider, and more also made fun appearances.

In 2016, I attended a conversation between filmmaker Joss Whedon and actor Mark Ruffalo, who Whedon recruited to star in "The Avengers" as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Hosted by the Tribeca Film Festival, this was the same one where Whedon said "Avengers: Age of Ultron" made him feel like "a miserable failure."
During the talk, Whedon confessed how he feels that he lacks the eye of a great director. This moment of vulnerability by Whedon stuck out to me because it echoed criticism of his work I'd absorbed online as a budding cinephile. These critics would argue that Whedon's directing never matured past middling TV-level craft, as seen on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." At the time, I was one of the Whedon faithful and stubbornly refused to see it, but my mind has been cleared now.

Deadpool & Wolverine broke the internet with its first teaser, ushering in a new era of hype in the MCU, one that has not been seen since Avengers: Endgame. The first feature-length mutant project in the MCU, the film has a lot riding on it and also has a lot of speculation about what it is going to be.
A still from the trailer of Deadpool and Wolverine
One of the main attractions of the film is that it will introduce mutants in a major capacity in the MCU. While X-Men heavy hitters Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff made their appearances way back in Avengers: Age of Ultron, they were referred to as ‘enhanced’ and not mutants. A new theory has emerged that Wade, through his shenanigans will retcon the origins of the Maximoff twins and make them full-fledged mutants in the MCU as well.

Many godlike Avengers, including Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, and Thor, are mentioned when fans argue over who is the most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, upon examining the physical attributes, fans may discover that the answer to this question is not as simple as they initially believed. There are other abilities besides brute force, magic, and energy blasts that can provide a hero with an edge during battle.
Having said that, Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man in the MCU, is a superhero who, with the use of Pym Particles, can shrink to the size of an ant while retaining his normal strength and durability. This means that he can outmaneuver his rivals and deliver punches with the force of a full-sized man. Not to mention, his ability to change size gives him an extra edge in battle.

The "new" animated series "X-Men '97" is set to debut on Disney+ on March 20, 2024, and, boy howdy is it rolling hard with the nostalgia. "X-Men '97" is a late-stage continuation of the "X-Men" animated series that ran on Fox Kids from 1992 to 1997, a series that was deeply beloved by kids in a very, very specific age bracket. "X-Men" was sometimes shoddily animated and awkwardly scripted, but it did capture the outsize wildness of the X-Men comics on which it was based. The show ran for 76 episodes, ending in September 1997.
True to its name, "X-Men '97" is pretending that the series never left the air, essentially serving as a sixth season to the original show. The new show borrows the character designs from the original series, but updates the animation to look a little sharper and cleaner; I'm guessing that the new show won't have the "disappearing lines," bad acting, or...

This post contains spoilers for Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver #1.
Who are Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch? Most would say that they are Marvel superheroes, twin members of the Avengers and, sometimes, the X-Men. And while those answers aren’t wrong, the truth has always been a bit more complicated when it comes to these two. And the new series Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver #1 — by writer Steve Orlando, artist Lorenzo Tammetta, colorist Frank William, and letterer Ariana Maher — only makes it more complicated.
Since their first appearance in 1964’s X-Men #4, the twins have gone from heroes to villains and back again. Moreover, their parentage has changed time and again, going from the kids of Romani villagers Django and Marya Maximoff to the children of Golden Age heroes Miss America and the Whizzer. In the most popular and most long-running explanation, Magneto has been presented as the true father of Pietro and Wanda.

Experimental metal act Boris have announced a split album with fellow veteran Japanese band Coaltar of the Deepers. The LP, titled hello there, arrives March 22nd.
Both acts formed in the early 90s, and Boris member Takeshi has cited Coaltar of the Deepers’ shoegaze sound as an influence on his own band. The two previously collaborated in 2019 when Boris covered Coaltar of the Deepers’ 2007 song “To the Beach” for their tears EP. Boris’ version was produced by Coaltar of the Deepers singer-guitarist Narasaki.
The upcoming album features six songs, with Boris commenting that the concept is to “present newly recorded self-covers of past songs to today’s listeners,” as well as “a new attempt to specify songs to the other band and cover each other’s songs.”

A new WandaVision deleted scene just revealed the original ending for Evan Peters' Ralph Bohner.
While fans loved speculating the original MCU Disney+ series many mysteries, not all of the show's reveals were satisfying and some questions were left unanswered.
Among WandaVision's handful of head-scratching plot threads was former X-Men star Evan Peters, and an alternate version of the McU's Quicksilver in the show, was only a Westview nobody named Ralph Bohner.

[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, plus “The Marvels” and its post-credits scene.]
It was a bad weekend at the box office — certainly not a “marvels-ous” one — as the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nia DaCosta’s “The Marvels,” arrived in theaters and promptly walked away with a dismal $47 million domestic, $110 million worldwide opening, the worst opening for an MCU film ever. Also not helping: a B CinemaScore, which places the film in the bottom tier of MCU films by that metric as well (only two other MCU films have received that same grade: “Eternals” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”).
It’s unfortunate that DaCosta’s film — directed by a woman of color, featuring a female-centric story with a “diverse” cast of superheroes, and finding its best beats in humor and heart — will become inextricably linked with the “fall” of the MCU, because this kind of box office bust has long seemed inevitable for the ailing franchise.

The Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff, is an iconic character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is prominently introduced alongside her brother Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron after an uncredited cameo in Captain America: Civil War. Maximoff was experimented on by Hydra, which boosted her superhuman genes and allowed her to access magical energies. She first used these powers to protect her and her brother as children. When she grows into her powers, Maximoff can access chaos magic, which makes her more powerful than other Avenger superheroes like Thor and Hulk. Actress Elizabeth Olsen plays Scarlet Witch in the...

Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a hot favourite to take on the role of the MI6 spy, James Bond. It has already been over two years since the last ‘James Bond’ film was released. Aaron broke into the mainstream with the rom-com film ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ before going on to play action roles in violent comic book flick ‘Kick Ass’ and later played Quicksilver in the Marvel film ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, reports Mirror.co.uk.

Since Marvel Cinematic Universe started expanding its canon through TV shows on Disney+, there’s never been more characters to keep track of. Many new characters were introduced, including Moon Knight, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. And with so many new characters, we are honestly afraid to imagine how many characters the upcoming crossover event, ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ will assemble.
However, apart from new superheroes, those Disney+ shows also featured brand-new villains and new special guest characters. In 2021’s ‘WandaVision,’ we’ve met Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, who is set to return in the upcoming spin-off ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos,’ but it looks like the series will also feature one more known name.

Evan Peters has joined the cast of 'Tron Ares'. The 'American Horror Story' star - who portrays Quicksilver in 'The X-Men' movies - will appear alongside Jared Leto in the third film in the 'Tron' franchise. According to Deadline, the motion picture could start shooting in August in Vancouver if there isn't a SAG strike. Joachim Ronning is to direct the movie, in which Leto will star as lead character Ares, a manifestation of the Tron program. It's not yet known who Peters will portray in the film, but he is expected to take on the part of either a gamer in the human world, or a soldier in the virtual realm. In January, it was revealed Leto had signed up to star in the third film in the franchise, 13 years after the sequel, 'Tron: Legacy', was released. It starred the original 1982 film's lead actor Jeff Bridges...

Evan Peters, the actor best known for his portrayal of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, has landed his next role opposite Jared Leto in Disney’s long-in-the-works Tron 3.
Helmed by veteran Disney director Joachim Rønning, the movie is titled Tron: Ares. Its script, written by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne, is said to focus on “the emergence of a sentient program that crosses over into the human world that is not ready for contact.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peters’ role in the film is currently unknown, though two of the main characters in the script are “a soldier in the computer world and an awkward gamer in the human world.” Leto is set to play Ares, the manifestation of the program.
Production on Tron: Ares is set to begin in Vancouver this August. It follows 2011’s Tron: Legacy, itself a long-gestating sequel to the original 1982 special effects pioneer Tron.

Evan Peters, who starred as Quicksilver in Fox’s “X-Men” prequel series and earned acclaim playing Jeffrey Dahmer in Ryan Murphy’s blockbuster “Monster” Netflix miniseries, has joined the cast of Disney’s long-gestating “Tron: Ares,” an individual with knowledge told TheWrap on Wednesday.
Peters will star alongside Jared Leto in the sci-fi threequel helmed by Joachim Rønning, which will hopefully begin shooting in August in Vancouver. Emma Ludbrook, Jeffrey Springer and Leto are producing. Russell Allen is executive producing.
The Walt Disney Company has been trying to make a follow-up to “Tron: Legacy” for over a decade. The first “Tron,” which earned two Academy Award nominations — but none for its then-groundbreaking special effects — earned just $50 million worldwide on a $17 million budget. That was seen as a disappointment in 1982 but built enough of a cult audience for Disney to roll the dice in 2010 with the $170 million budgeted “Tron: Legacy.”

Welcome to the Grid, Evan Peters.
The actor, who generated acclaim for his portrayal of the title character in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, has closed a deal to star opposite Jared Leto in Tron: Ares, the third installment of Disney’s technology-pushing movie series.
Joachim Ronning is directing the feature that is due to begin shooting August in Vancouver. Getting filming off the ground would be a coup for the studio, which has been trying to make a Tron 3 for over a decade and turn Tron into a bona fide brand and franchise.

High Evolutionary In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy,’ Explained: Is He The Best MCU Villain Since Endgame?
Mainstream pop culture-oriented movies have been obsessed with portraying antagonists with sympathetic backstories for almost a few decades now, and while that provides a chance for compelling storytelling by making the audience root for the adversary, it has become too repetitive at this point. In the MCU, this trend is particularly perceivable where any mention-worthy antagonistic performance like the mad Titan Thanos or the justifiable terrorist Eric Killmonger falls under the same trope, and even the maniacal Green Goblin was excused by his split personality disorder. Every once in a while, viewers need adversaries whom they can truly loathe, whose moral compass is so askew, and whose calculative actions and motivations are so vile that the binary between opposing forces seems really prominent. Thankfully, James Gunn introduced one such antagonist through the character Herbert Wyndham, aka High Evolutionary, in his latest release, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, a character irredeemably deplorable...

The two celebs have been trolling each other (in good fun) with competing messages after a bit with the two of them went viral in 2019.
In the old clip, Jackman takes a jab at Reynolds’ singing ability but is then confronted with a video message onscreen. Reynolds said Jackman’s insult was “in a word, hurtful,” and went on to sing him happy birthday before cussing him out for good measure afterward.
