Great potential of a film that belly flopped in terms of execution, 21 November 2005
1/10

As an avid follower of the "Romero Versions" of the zombie genre, I was so very disappointed at this mess of a film. The zombies are laughable to begin with, nothing like the vicious perversions we saw in Dawn/Day of the dead. Second, it just never quite comes together. I can't put my finger on it, but it simply doesn't happen for George this time around. All the claustrophobia and bursts of tense chaos present in the other films simply didn't work this time around. See it for the gore, but thats about it. And lastly, there are some serious problems with the cgi effects. They are way too noticeable when they are used. All in all, I say it was a mess of a film made by a man who always seems to do more with less.
