‘AHS: Delicate – Part Two’ returns with more of the same, yet Anna’s perturbing pregnancy finally starts to crown towards its creepy climax.
“Down will come baby, cradle and all…”
Part Two of American Horror Story: Delicate turns the clock back just over 35 years and begins with an unsettling vignette that chronicles how Emma Roberts’ Anna Victoria Alcott was brought into the world. This is actually an effective and telling prologue that functions as a strong distillation of the season. In fact, this would have been a better way to start off AHS: Delicate as a whole, rather than its second-half. It teases the many unknown and unintentional risks that are associated with pregnancy and childbirth, even when everything plays out normally and there’s no demon baby involved. American Horror Story addresses the twisted nature of “Rock-a-Bye-Baby” and the inherently creepy nature of lullabies. It’s a larger indictment...

The first responders of 911 will keep putting their lives on the line at ABC.
The network has renewed 911 for the 2024-25 season, which will mark its second on ABC and eighth overall. The series, from Disney’s 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, moved to ABC from Fox this season. The renewal comes as 911 is set to air its 100th episode this week.
The show was Fox’s top-rated drama for several seasons, and it’s picked up that mantle at ABC. Through its first three episodes of a strike-shortened seventh season, 911 is averaging 5.29 million same-day viewers (versus 4.7 million last season), and the March 14 season premiere more than doubled its initial audience with a week of streaming and other delayed viewing, going from 4.93 million to 11.76 million viewers. ABC also says that 911 is the network’s most watched current series across all platforms this season.

“American Horror Story: Delicate” Part 2 appears to be full steam ahead thanks to Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian enjoying a kiss in the just-released video trailer (watch below). FX’s horror anthology series returns on Wednesday, April 3 with the first of its final four episodes of Season 12. Note that “AHS” was split into two parts for this installment because of the writers’ and actors’ strikes that shuttered Hollywood for much of the 2023 calendar year.
The first five episodes of “American Horror Story: Delicate” aired in September-October, telling the story of an up-and-coming actress named Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts) who’s campaigning on the awards circuit while dealing with supernatural pregnancy issues. Kardashian plays her foul-mouthed publicist, Siobhan Corbyn, and Matt Czuchry takes on the role of her husband, Dex Harding. In the new clip, Siobhan seems surprised to see Anna chomping on an animal bone.

Exclusive: Fox’s 2023-2024 schedule will not include the network’s two highest-rated drama series of 2022-23.
The move of flagship 9-1-1 to ABC was announced in May. Now its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, which was renewed for a fifth season by Fox in May, will not return with new episodes this spring. Instead, the drama starring Rob Lowe will produce 12 episodes to air in fall 2024, making fans’ wait for Season 5 extra long.
Like any other linear or streaming series, 9-1-1: Lone Star has been impacted by the double Hollywood strikes. Earlier this fall, Fox and producing studio 20th Television had been discussing an 18-episode order — six episodes for midseason — and 12 for fall, sources said. As the SAG-AFTRA strike stretched into November, those plans changed, and the two sides ultimately agreed on 12 episodes for fall 2024.

Fox is bringing in some repeats of 9-1-1: Lone Star to its fall schedule as it tries to remind viewers that scripted drama still has a place on broadcast TV amid the writers and actors strikes.
The move sees unscripted competition series I Can See Your Voice, which has completed production of its third season, to midseason.
Season 4 of 9-1-1: Lone Star will air starting on Tuesday September 19 at 9 pm, after season 3 of Name That Tune.
The hope is that it can get some traction for the return of 9-1-1: Lone Star with its fifth season once the dual strikes are over. It comes as the show’s parent show 9-1-1 was not renewed by Fox in May, instead set to move to ABC, whose sibling studio 20th TV produces, once the strikes are over.

Oliver Stark is on fire. After such fantastical roles in “Into the Badlands” and “Underworld: Blood Wars”, the British-born actor landed on the more grounded “9-1-1″.
The hit TV procedural follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders and Stark portrays Evan “Buck” Buckley, a firefighter who works at Station 118. For the 31-year-old actor, the project checked off plenty of boxes.
“One thing I have always found myself very interested in is being a part of projects with an action element to them, something 9-1-1 does to a huge degree,” Stark tells Et Canada. “It’s something I find exhilarating and if done well, can really enhance the drama.”

A violent dust storm hit Austin on Monday’s 9-1-1: Lone Star finale, but even after it settled, the future of the 126 remained unclear.
Let’s start with Tommy, who began the hour by deciding to resign from her position in order to care for her daughters at home. (Charles’ life insurance turned out to be “more than she expected,” affording her the chance to become a full-time mom.) But after an especially eventful day of saving lives — which was encouraged by her daughters, who reminded Tommy that the world still needs her — she opted to remain in the game.

According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Tyler approached producers over the summer about exiting the show, despite having a multi-year contract. Her character, Michelle Blake, will not be recast or killed off, leaving the door open for her to return.

The 2020 Emmy ballots have been released by the Television Academy, so we now know which shows, actors, etc. are in contention for this year’s golden statues. FX’s “American Horror Story: 1984” accounts for a whopping 29 entries across all competitive ballots, including 10 actors for their roles as counselors/workers at the hauntingly tubular Camp Redwood. This ninth season of the popular anthology series welcomed back fan favorites like John Carroll Lynch (as Mr. Jingles) and Emma Roberts (as Brooke Thompson) while also introducing some new blood in the form of Angelica Ross (as Nurse Rita) and Gus Kenworthy (as Chet Clancy).
This installment, which aired last September-November, is also notable for producing the show’s landmark 100th episode, which flash-forwarded a year after the massacre at Camp Redwood. All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until July 13 to cast their 2020 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for programs (save for animated documentary/nonfiction which are restricted to their peer groups). Unlike the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally. In the past, voters were limited in the number of programs that they could put forth. Three years ago that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted.
While there has been an explosion in the number of comedy and drama series recently, the limited series genre had been almost static. There were 25 entries in 2015, 26 in 2016 and 25 again in 2017. But there has been an uptick as of late, with 33 such shows submitted in 2018, 35 last year and 41 for this awards cycle. Even so, with five nominees for Best Limited Series, the odds for each of the entries detailed below is pretty good.

Fox has renewed “9-1-1” for Season 4 and and its spinoff “9-1-1: Lone Star” for Season 2, the broadcast network announced Monday.
The Rob Lowe-led “Lone Star” began airing in January, taking over “9-1-1’s” Monday at 8 p.m. time slot while the first-responder drama was on hiatus. The Texas-set show ended its 10-episode first season March 9, with “9-1-1” returning with new episodes of its third season the following week.
“Lone Star” follows firefighter Owen Strand (Lowe), who moves with his troubled son from New York City to Austin, Texas to help a fire station that experienced a tragedy rebuild. Per Fox, “On the surface, Owen is all about big-city style and swagger, but underneath he struggles with a secret he hides from the world – one that could very well end his life.”

The first season of “9-1-1: Lone Star” comes to a shocking conclusion with a two-hour finale Monday night. Like, literally shocking if TheWrap’s exclusive sneak peek from the second hour is any indication.
In the clip from Episode 110, titled “Austin, We Have a Problem,” which you can view via the video above, you’ll see Owen (Rob Lowe) informed that Michelle (Liv Tyler) hasn’t checked in with the 126 this morning. But before he can figure out where she might be and what she might be up to, a power surge suddenly hits the station and makes everything that runs on electricity go haywire.
Naturally, the sequence is set to Oingo Boingo’s “Weird Science” because, well, it’s a super weird science-y situation. Now, we have no idea what this actually means, but we know it’s not good!

As a first-responder, the first thing you learn is you can’t save everyone from death — especially if they’re already dead when you arrive to try and help them. That’s the situation Michelle (Liv Tyler) and her team find themselves in TheWrap’s exclusive clip from tonight’s “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
In the video, which you can view above, the Austin paramedics respond to a call from a man who is concerned about his mother’s health. Welp, turns out his mom is definitely already deceased and from the looks of her rotting corpse, she has been for a few days.
The problem here is, when Michelle tries — very gently, might we add — to tell this man that his dearly departed mom has dearly departed, he refuses to accept this reality. And then he pulls a sword on her and the rest of the team to get them...

The tenth chapter of American Horror Story is coming later this year, and there are some big names attached.
Series creator Ryan Murphy on Wednesday announced the full cast list for the forthcoming season, which will bring back Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
This will mark Macaulay Culkin's first season with the series.
Other Season 10 cast members include Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock -- all Ahs veterans.
Paulson recently confirmed her return to the hit series earlier this year after sitting the entirety of American Horror Story Season 9 out.
Peters was also expected to return, given that Paulson previously stated that she would only return if he did.
Notably missing from the cast is Emma Roberts, but the actress could return in a guest role, given that production is yet to get underway.

It's a great day, American Horror Story Fanatics!
Fresh off the news that the series has scored a three-season renewal, Sarah Paulson has revealed she will be rejoining the cast for American Horror Story Season 10, airing later this year.
The actress appeared at the Television Critics Association Thursday to promote Mrs. America and ultimately dropped the bombshell that fans had been clamoring for.
“I did ask Ryan [Murphy] if the question was asked to me, could I say that I was coming back, and he said, ‘Yes, you could say.’ So, yes I will be back on American Horror Story,” Paulson revealed to Deadline.
The news is not particularly surprising, especially when you consider that Murphy previously teased he was rallying the troops for the tenth -- and potentially final season.
"It’s the last season we have contracted [at FX]. So, I’ve been quietly reaching out to various people," the co-creator told Deadline.

American Horror Story has been a monster hit for FX over the course of its time on the network. But now that the ninth season has come to a close and the tenth is gearing up to debut in the fall of 2020, with many fan favorite characters returning, too, fans have begun to worry that the horror anthology is getting ready to wind down. After all, it can’t possibly remain on the air forever, right? Well, maybe it can.
In news that perhaps isn’t too surprising – given how big of a success it’s been – Deadline is reporting today that FX has renewed American Horror Story for a further three seasons. This is on top of the upcoming run, meaning that once season 10 concludes, we’ll also be getting season 11, 12 and 13. If not more, should FX choose to keep it around.

American Horror Story is not going anywhere.
The venerable anthology series will enter its tenth season later this year, and despite rumors that it would be the final chapter, we now have confirmation that the series will continue for an additional three seasons.
FX has announced a multi-season renewal, which will take the show through to its 13th season.
There's no telling whether the 13th season will be the show's endgame, but there's something poignant about the series shutting down after 13 years.
“Ryan and Brad are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series,” John Landgraf, Chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement.
