Elijah McCormick was the final artist to audition on Sunday night’s episode of “American Idol,” making an impression judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan won’t soon forget. The 24-year old ophthalmologist technician from Raeford, North Carolina belted out “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts after explaining how he survived a nearly fatal car accident. On Elijah’s graduation day in 2019 he almost lost his life in a car crash. The automobile caught fire and the then-teenager was airlifted to the hospital, where he flatlined nine times. Zuri Craig, performer and “America’s Got Talent” finalist has died at 44 years old. Craig’s family confirmed the devastating news in a post shared to Instagram Sunday.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of our beloved son, brother and friend, Zuri Craig,” his family shared in a tribute posted to Craig’s official ZoReMi Entertainment page.
They continued, “We thank you in advance for your prayers. Please honor our privacy at this unimaginable time of mourning.”
An official cause of death for Craig has yet to be revealed, but per the post, more information is said to be “forthcoming.”

Tributes are pouring in for Robbie Coltrane, the Scottish performer beloved for his roles in film franchises such as “Harry Potter” and “James Bond” and the TV series “Cracker.” It was announced Friday morning that the actor, writer and comedian passed away at age 72.
“Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set,” shared Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, Coltrane’s frequent scene partner as Rubeus Hagrid in all eight “Potter” films. “I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on Prisoner of Azkaban, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up.”
His statement continued, “I feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed.

Willie Spence, best known for his appearance on American Idol, has died.
He was 23 years old.
Spence passed away on October 11 due to injuries he sustained in a car accident.
Spence passed away “in an automobile accident in Tennessee,” Douglas Now reported on Tuesday.
“We have no further details at this time. We extend our condolences to Willie’s family, friends, and fans. He was an extraordinary talent and a ray of light to millions across the world.

Spence was driving from Tennessee to his home in Atlanta when he crashed into a semi-truck that was parked on the side of the road.
