Every teenage girl looks forward to their sixteenth birthday, but in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Season 1 Episode 3, it's less of a rite of passage and more of a matter of life or death.
While this season of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School has definitely kicked things up a notch, the series isn't skimping on the teen angst and what it means to be a girl in high school, even if it's just summer school.
At least the one good thing they have working in their favor is that they seem to rarely be entirely by themselves. It's a horror trope that, thankfully, has been axed since the previous season.
As the show becomes fully immersed in summer, the story shifts focus from violent slayings to real teenage problems, like cute boys. If only someone had told them that the problem never truly goes away.
Although Noa's case might be slightly different,...

Lily Taylor plays Cecilia Abbott on the show.
During the first season of Outer Range, Cecilia was thrown into chaos as her daughter-in-law, son, and granddaughter all went missing at different times.
It’s a lot for one woman to bear, and Taylor got a lot of juicy scenes blaming the universe for her terrible turn of events.

Lazareth follows Lee (Ashley Judd), a mysterious woman who adopts her nieces, Imogen (Katie Douglas) and Maeve (Sarah Pidgeon) following the death of their parents, and raises them in a remote cabin as a deadly pandemic rages on around them.
For over 10 years, the girls are raised to never leave the woods, avoid any and all interaction with outsiders, and ultimately rely on Lee as their only connection to the outside world. Lee has convinced the girls this is the key to survival in what is now an infectious and violent world.
However, when Imogen and Maeve discover an injured man (Asher Angel) in the nearby woods, Lee’s absolute control begins to disintegrate as their faith in her, and everything they’ve ever known, begins to unravel in this nail-biting new thriller.

Elisabeth Moss is definitely dressed for sartorial success as MI6 agent Imogen Salter in Stephen Knight’s spy thriller “The Veil” (currently streaming on FX). The chameleon-like spy, who travels from Istanbul to Paris to London with suspected Isis terrorist Adilah El Idrissi (Yumna Marwan), sports an array of designer clothes suitable for every inconspicuous or dangerous situation. This provided costume designer Anthony Unwin (“Shoshana”) the perfect opportunity to be stylishly creative.
“The Veil” establishes a strong silhouette for the introduction of Imogene as she springs a trap on an unsuspecting enemy spy at the airport. “It was very much about creating this image in the silhouette that was quite powerful,” Unwin told IndieWire. “I used Alexander McQueen shoulders with the jacket and Jimmy Choo patent leather shoes. And then a silk Joseph blouse underneath that and pencil skirt. I was kind of creating the character from that with [mostly] British brands.

It's safe to say that the wheels on Imogen and Adilah's tenuous friendship are just about ready to fall off in The Veil Season 1 Episode 4.
However, the show finally delivered some long-awaited action that was previewed in the series' initial trailer. While it was expected that the show would need to lay some groundwork and world-building, it was a surprise that it would take four episodes to get to some real action.
That being said, it has been nice to see the bond between Imogen and Adilah grow, even though it's apparent that theirs is a fate destined for far more rockier times.
At this point, it's tough to determine where everyone's loyalties lie. While everyone is undoubtedly working to stop whatever terrorist attack is underway, it seems more like each intelligence branch is simply trying to outdo the other.
Things are looking particularly interesting for Imogen as she subtly...

The Veil Ep1 S3 Ending Explained: Is Imogen Working for the American? ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
HBO’s latest mini-series, The Veil, is a tight thriller with themes of espionage and international crime and operations. With Elizabeth Moss as the protagonist Imogen who is hell bent on proving that Adilah El Idrissi (Yumna Marwan) is actually Djinn al Raqqa of Isis, who is planning a huge attack on the US, the series has already shown how the former has rescued Adilah from the camp she was held captive in. The two then took a detour and eventually, Imogen decided to take Adilah to Paris to reunite her with her daughter. After the DNA test conducted by the American intelligence, Imogen’s superiors are convinced that Adilah is not the fierce Isis leader they are looking for. However, Imogen does not believe it, and this week’s episode proves that she’s not wrong.

Teens and hormones. Together, they’re responsible for the realization of any number of worst-case scenarios. Once activated, however, they’re the perfect catalyst for drama in all its permutations, up to and including writer-director Alec Tibaldi’s latest film, Lazareth (a Biblically inspired portmanteau of “Lazarus” and “Nazareth”), an efficient, economical, if somewhat predictable, survival thriller set in a post-pandemic, apocalyptic future. It’s those same pesky hormones that throw a relatively stable household into disarray, conflict, and eventually violence. Lazareth’s main selling point, Ashley Judd, essays the singularly named Lee, a single woman who unofficially adopts her two nieces, Imogen (Katie Douglas) and Maeve (Sarah Pidgeon), just as the outside world goes to the obligatory...

2023 was a rough year for superhero movies. Both Marvel Studios and Warner Bros.' Dceu struggled to deliver movies which resonated with fans and filmgoers, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods failed to take flight when it opened last March.
Reviews were split rather than outright negative, but the movie still only grossed $134 million worldwide. It came as a shock after the success of 2019's Shazam!, and the character's future is now uncertain with DC Studios set to reboot the Dcu beginning with 2025's Superman.
We were recently fortunate enough to speak with Billy Batson actor Asher Angel about his role in the edge-of-your-seat thriller, Lazareth. We'll bring you the full conversation with him, and co-star Ashley Judd, soon.
In the meantime, we have an excerpt from our conversation in which Angel addresses the Shazam! sequel's struggles, his interest in reprising the role, what was originally planned for the franchise,...

Welcome back to Millwood High, where the head of the class is most likely to be a decapitated one and a new threat is putting the “A” in slay. Season 2 of Max’s Pretty Little Liars reboot has returned with a pair of episodes that delivered a minor time jump and a major twist that set the stage for a Summer School session saluting horror sequels that deserve their flowers. Max “You know what, we do think about these seasons as horror movies, and so for us, Season 2 was really Part 2 of a horror movie,” agrees Lisa Calhoon Bring, who co-created the series with Riverdale guru Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. (Watch the full video interview above.) On the heels of their scary, sexy, and so-worthy “Original Sin” extension of ABC Family’s late, great Pll, the duo spent their time between seasons rewatching” Part 2 of every horror movie,” she continues, ultimately deciding...

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, which premieres May 9 on Max, picks up directly after the events of the previous season, which was titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is now in session, but there’s one teacher you shouldn’t expect to see roaming the halls — Ezra Fitz.
The Max reboot’s first season ended with Imogen (Bailee Madison) revealing that her baby was being adopted by a lovely couple from nearby Rosewood, specifically Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) from the original Pretty Little Liars. It was an exciting Easter egg for longtime fans of the franchise, one that promised a permanent connection between the two shows.

Things are looking a lot less pretty and a little more dangerous for the liars in the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.
Picking up right where things left off, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Season 1 Episode 1 starts with four murders within the first five minutes.
Aptly titled "Loose Ends," that's exactly what's taken care of. If the trend continues like a Scream movie, audiences may see each new season commence with a kill scene.
Sheriff Beasley, Chip, Madame Giry, Steve, and the drug dealer to Noa's mom all met a grizzly end right at the start, wiping the slate clean for a new killer to cut some fresh flesh.
On top of everything the girls went through, now they have to spend their summer attending school or otherwise face repeating the 10th grade. A fate worse than death.

As Imogen Salter would say, "The best lies are mostly true," and that couldn't ring anymore accurately in The Veil Season 1 Episode 3.
Having finally made it to Paris, Adilah is reunited with her daughter. However, the smiles and hugs are short-lived as Imogen is still determined to prove her travel companion is the high-ranking Isis commander that everyone believes Adilah to be.
Though viewers are meant to question Adilah's actions and everything she says, Imogen continues to show that she has just as many, if not more, secrets.
Perhaps these two women have found kindred spirits in each other, but their bond seems tenuous at best since neither trusts the other beyond what they need from one another.
Malik: So, what is this woman like?
Imogen: There's something intangible about her. Can't name.

If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.

You’ll have to wait a bit longer for the final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” but Elisabeth Moss will be back on your TV soon enough. “The Veil,” the Emmy winner’s new FX limited series, will premiere on Tuesday, April 30 on Hulu with two episodes, the network announced Friday ahead of its presentation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

Death and Other Details Episode 3 added a few more twists and turns to the murder investigation of David/Keith, Rufus’ assistant. Imogen helped Rufus as much as possible before she had to get others involved lest Interpol be notified about her covert activities. We can expect the case will have some more twists and turns, considering it’s just the third episode. There is a lot more hidden in Varuna, and Imogen discovers secret passageways, confirming exactly that. But before all that happened, a few secrets came out in the open, and the facade of a righteous life was shattered. How that would impact the case is yet to be determined. Rufus, meanwhile, had the pleasure of working with Interpol’s ‘best man,’ a woman named Hilde Erikson, as she bulldozed her way into the investigation, trying to get to the truth as quickly as possible.

“Pay attention: Details matter,” growls a heavily accented Mandy Patinkin as detective Rufus Cotesworth in the opening seconds of “Death and Other Details,” created by Heidi Cole McAdams and Mike Weiss. There’s more to the quote — hours, and hours, in fact, of droll monologues about perception and detection throughout the series — but Hulu and ABC Signature’s new show appears to have skimped heavily on attention to detail, resulting in a product so shallow, so ramshackle, that it borders on unwatchable.
To its detriment, “Death and Other Details” is not as much about Rufus Cotesworth (a character who will only be referred to by his delightful full name throughout this piece), but about Imogene Scott (Violett Beane), who met him as a child while he was investigating her mother’s death. The orphaned Imogene was taken in by the Colliers, a family of the kind of wealth that outwardly...

London, July 20 (Ians) James Bond actor Daniel Craig seemed to be in a hurry as he was seen ignoring a red traffic light while cycling in London.
The 55-year-old British star could be seen slowly approaching the red traffic light on his bicycle and then creeping over the line while the light was still red, in Hampstead, North London.
Craig was pictured wearing a helmet and sunglasses during the outing, mirror.co.uk reported.
He was seen rocking khaki shorts, showcasing his toned legs as well as a white T-shirt. He also donned headphones, which were placed neatly in his ear underneath his black helmet.
Craig’s bike ride comes after he was seen at Wimbledon with his wife of 12 years, Rachel Weisz, 53.
The 007 star has been enjoying some downtime at home in London in recent weeks, and on Sunday was spotted in his Royal Box seats at the Wimbledon Men’s Final.

Insidious: The Red Door, the fifth film in the Insidious horror franchise, is now in theatres (you can read our review Here). A spin-off, Thread: An Insidious Tale, is already in the works… and producer James Wan, who also directed the first two Insidious movies, has implied that there could be many more Insidious spin-offs in our future. One franchise cast member who has ideas for further Insidious sequels or spin-offs is Lin Shaye, who has played psychic medium Elise Rainier throughout the series. Speaking with Screen Rant, Shaye said she might start working with her son to put together a treatment and/or lookbook so she can pitch those ideas to the powers that be.
Shaye said, “I have some ideas, I’ve thought about doing a little treatment with some thoughts I have about where (Elise) is in The Further, what she could be doing in The Further.
