Although the 80-page giants generally have been pretty good, especially the wave of books we had celebrating various character anniversaries, DC of late have struggled a little with the anthology books. I should say it’s not just DC, but as once upon a time they were the masters of the format it is most noticeable with them. The mix of creative teams isn’t the issue either. A blend of known names and up-and-comers was always the way DC’s mystery books operated, and it served them very well. What drew me to this book the most was Paul Levitz writing Phantom Stranger (that alone is worth the entrance price), and Tom Mandrake and Kelley Jones illustrating two tales. Let’s hope the other stories can add some scary fun as well.
The know the score with these books,...

"Werewolf By Night" has arrived on Disney+ just in time for the spooky season and luckily, it rules/ The Marvel special stars Gael Garcia Bernal as Jack Russell, a man who transforms into the titular beast under the light of the full moon. Other notable Marvel characters appearing in the special are Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly) and Ted Sallis (Carey Jones), aka Man-Thing — who looks amazing by the way. The special is a bold swing for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something that has felt increasingly rare as of late, and director/composer Michael Giacchino has brought this formerly unexplored corner of Marvel Comics to brilliant life.
Comics got increasingly weird throughout the '50s and '60s as creators struggled to work around the harsh restrictions imposed by the Comics Code Authority — seriously, some of those stories are wild! By the '70s, the Cca had relaxed a bit and...

Ben's world view just kept expanding, entirely to his detriment.
The former Border Patrol agent discovered more and more about how little he knew concerning how things worked in Mexico on Coyote Season 1 Episode 3 and Coyote Season 1 Episode 4.
As a result, he's now down one admittedly distant family member, and he's deeper and deeper in El Catrin's control.
Now we know why Mark Feuerstein's role on Coyote was uncredited.
His character Frank didn't last that long. And to see the lovable Royal Pains star gunned down just added to the shock value.
Of course, Frank's death is on Ben's head. El Catrin told Ben to tell nobody about his situation. But wily old Ben thought he could ignore that, even though he knew that the cartel monitored cell-phone communications. Probably including his. Duh.
Ben's first instinct to warn Jill was a good one. After all, he had...
