In 2021, Pointless fans had to come to terms with the fact that change is the only constant in this crazy, crazy world when the show’s co-creator and co-host Richard Osman left to pursue other career opportunities such as being an incredibly successful crime novelist, and taking the main seat on his own game show Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Good for Richard Osman, it all seems to be very going well for him. But for Pointless?
Taking its cue from satirical current affairs show Have I Got News For You?, which settled on a revolving carousel of guest hosts when its regular host Angus Deayton was forced to step down instead of plumping for a permanent chair, Pointless has welcomed a series of co-hosts in the past couple of years.

Exclusive: Amazon is planning to stream live Premier League fixtures for free on Twitch in the UK as it aims to give fans the chance to interact with each other while games are being played.
Twitch is hugely popular with gamers and Amazon thinks its chat feature will enable users to behave like pundits and share their views on the match as it happens. It is the first time Twitch, which Amazon acquired for $970M in 2014, has been used to show Premier League football.
Amazon will also make games available for free through Prime Video after securing an additional four fixtures as part of the Premier League’s coronavirus restart strategy. Its coverage gets underway with Crystal Palace vs Burnley on June 29.

Amazon made a small bit of British TV history on Tuesday night, becoming the first streaming service to broadcast live English Premier League football. But its coverage was not without the odd hitch.
Amazon Prime Video users got in touch with the company to report issues with their feed, as they attempted to tune into coverage of Burnley v Manchester City and Crystal Palace v Bournemouth.
A number of users posted images of their television showing the error message, “Something went wrong.” Others reported issues with buffering, while some complained about the lag in their stream.
The Amazon Help Twitter account was responding to people on the social media site, urging them to go through its troubleshooting steps and apologizing for the “poor experience.”
Below are a couple of examples of typical complaints on Tuesday night:
Anyone else having trouble steaming @amazonuk @amazon tonight? It’s not even the most popular game!

Amazon has announced that more than 40 presenters and former professionals will be part of its English Premier League lineup, with its coverage of the soccer competition kicking-off in December.
Amazon secured rights to show the Premier League in the UK last year, and will air 20 matches a season. Coverage will launch on December 3 with mid-week fixtures, before it shows 10 matches on December 26-27.
BBC presenter Gabby Logan will anchor the Sunset+Vine-produced action, alongside Eilidh Barbour — a BBC and Sky broadcaster — and Jim Rosenthal, a veteran who has covered the world’s biggest sporting events for major UK broadcasters.
Logan is already hosting weekly Amazon soccer show Back of the Net, but her presence on live coverage is still a coup for the Jeff Bezos-owned streamer. Logan is one of the BBC’s highest-profile presenters, taking home a salary of more than £290,000 and hosting shows including Sports Personality of the Year.

Amazon Prime Video premiered its original sports documentary series “All or Nothing: Manchester City” in Manchester, England Wednesday. The first episode of the series, which focuses on the English soccer champions, was screened in the presence of the whole Manchester City squad and its coach, Pep Guardiola, who previously coached Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Among those watching the series for the first time were global soccer stars Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Kevin de Bruyne.
The series, which launches worldwide Friday, follows in the footsteps of the Emmy-winning “All or Nothing” NFL series, and subsequent shows that zeroed in on the New Zealand national rugby team, the All Blacks, and college football team the Michigan Wolverines.
Before the first episode was shown, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was interviewed on-stage by BBC sports show host Gabby Logan. The Belgian star said he was feeling nervous as he waited to watch the documentary.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year … for fake news.
As First Lady Melania Trump unveiled this year’s White House Christmas decorations on Twitter Monday morning, some of her followers celebrated by reigniting previously debunked rumors that former President Barack Obama banned Nativity scenes from the White House last year.
“The Nativity Scene was removed when the American hating Obama’s were disgracing our White House along with our country,” one Twitter user claimed.
Obama critics even rejected photo proof of the Nativity scene on display in the Obama White House last year.

Gabby Logan's daughter Lois thinks presenting 'Flockstars' is her mum's ''ultimate career highlight''. The 42-year-old TV presenter has admitted her and her husband Kenny Logan's 10-year-old daughter - who is a twin sister to Reuben - is far more excited about her hosting the new celebrity sheepdog training contest than if she were to present hit shows 'Strictly Come Dancing' or 'Top Gear'. Gabby said: ''Lois, especially, adores dogs and horses. She found my information pack for 'Flockstars' on my desk one day, and had learnt the dogs' names well before I had. For her, this is my ultimate career highlight. ''I think...

Flockstars kicked off on ITV last night, and thank goodness, because we really didn't have enough shows about celebrities competitively herding sheep.
Alright, so Flockstars was baffling - we have a lot of questions about it - and viewers were torn between admiring the attractive trainers, making comparisons to Alan Partridge's Monkey Tennis pitch and wildly yelling host Gabby Logan's catchphrase: "Release the sheep!"
So it wasn't exactly an unqualified success, then - but if anything saved the show it was adorable sheepdog puppy Bruce.
Make sure you turn up the volume on that one, because not only is Bruce a bonafide cutie, but he also yawns in the best way.
Perhaps he was making a comment on the quality of the show. It's not our place to judge.
But Bruce wasn't the only animal trying to find fame on the series, as a group of Hebridean sheep...

Well, that was something. ITV launched its new reality show Flockstars tonight and it's fair to say that we are utterly baffled.
The show sees a group of celebs learning how to become shepherds, so it's basically One Man And His Dog but with that one out of N-Dubz (no, not that one - and no, not that one either, he's still recovering from doing the fishing show on ITV 4... the other one).
We couldn't help but wonder what the heck we were watching. Are the contestants involved feeling sheepish now? (Sorry.) Was it just too woolly a concept for primetime? (Sorry.) Is it best if we move on from the terrible puns and onto the 15 questions we have about Flockstars? Probably.
1. Why is it so loud? Good God, the show began and the booming voice and loud music practically knocked us off our chairs. Won't somebody think of the sheepdogs?...

I never thought I'd ever say this, but ITV aren't as bad as everyone makes out when it comes to live football. Hear me out - it's not as crazy as it may first sound.
For years, I've been baffled that anyone would choose to watch ITV over BBC One if given the choice. However, as this year's World Cup has proved so far, both channels have had their fair share of gaffes and errors.
The BBC is pretty stellar when it comes to live tennis, snooker, athletics and many other sports, and Match of the Day is clearly light years ahead of ITV's The Premiership, but has ITV suddenly gained back some ground this year?
There's probably two words that you're thinking which throws out my argument: Adrian Chiles. The former BBC man has become the face of ITV football, possibly because they're stuck with him and don't know where to plonk him.

It's game show heaven on television right now. Not only do we have all sorts of new formats making their way to screen, but some old favourites are getting a second lease of life, too - from Fifteen to One (airing daily on Channel 4) to the second series of the revived Catchphrase (Sundays on ITV.) But it got us thinking - what other game shows would we like to see return to our living rooms?
Well, we asked that very question to Fifteen to One's Sandi Toksvig and Catchphrase's Stephen Mulhern - and then had a bit of office debate about our own favourites...
You Bet! - Stephen Mulhern (Host, Catchphrase)
"This is an easy question: You Bet! It was one of my favourite TV shows and Matthew Kelly was one of my favourite presenters. I love it.
"I can give you some great examples that still amaze me to this day.

W1A: Wednesday (March 19) at 10pm on BBC Two
There may be trouble ahead, because former Olympics Head of Deliverance Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville) is heading to the BBC in W1A, the follow-up, don't-you-dare-call-it-a-sequel to BAFTA-winning mockumentary Twenty Twelve.
He's joined by clueless buzzword-spewing PR guru Siobhan Sharpe, played to perfection again by show-stealing Jessica Hynes, as well as a whole host of brand new oddballs and incompetents inside Broadcasting House. Cringe and clever, W1A certainly delivers and is never afraid to bite the hand that feeds it for.
Watch the trailer for W1A below:
